I don’t think nice ever written a review this quick but these guys deserve it! I recently got diagnosed with a medical condition and I couldn’t wear my contacts, but my glasses broke so I was in a bind. Finding an in network provider with United was really annoying, but these guys took it. I had the wrong appointment time down (my fault) but they still saw me. I needed glasses asap and my insurance made the lenses themselves which would take a long time but Dr. Page and the associate was able to tweak the insurance so that they could order everything and have it to me by the next day! They didn’t have the frame I wanted but the guy helping me actually ordered them directly for me which was awesome! Total price was definitely affordable for what I needed and the service was amazing! Definitely come here! I’m going to making him my primary eye doctor for sure.

I’m a fan of Dr. Page and his office. They always run pretty on-​schedule which is important to me. My exam was very thorough but still quick. Even getting dilated I was in and out in 40 minutes. I order my contacts through them and they are very good about matching prices.

Great visit. They make it so easy to get what you need. Dr page is great. He is very comprehensive. The exam covers what you need plus you can get glasses and contact on site. I will be a patient for many years to come.

I’ve been going to Dr Page for over 10 years. Office staff are supportive, all the doctors are attentive, allow me to ask questions, and they help me learn about good eye care. My favorite medical office in the city. I recommend without hesitation.

I recently moved to Philadelphia for med school, and finding an optometrist in network (UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus, vision covered under Optum) was annoyingly difficult. Dr. Page’s practice was the only one in the area offering a reasonable price for a standard exam and a contact lens prescription. He was very friendly and approachable, took the time to explain every step of what he was doing, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The exam rooms were neat, the equipment was clean, and the office also matched the price that I would have paid online for my contacts so I felt no upsell pressure whatsoever. They had my new contacts ready for pickup the next day. Overall, Dr. Page went above and beyond what I would expect from an optometrist and I will be going back to him for all of my eye care.

Just wrapped up my first appointment with Dr. Page. I was a bit concerned after reading some of the negative reviews but I had a very positive experience. He was thorough and conscientious. His staff was similarly friendly.
I did not experience any of the haggling other reviewers mentioned. Instead, he was flexible on price and willing to match the prices of my online contact retailer. I imagine it is challenging for optometrists these days, with the rise of online retailers and I only got the sense that he was trying to run a successful business.
Bottom line — I’m satisfied and will return again.

For the most part I’ve never really thought much about my optometrists. I respect the profession and understand it’s purpose but it’s never been a huge factor in my life. I go in for my annual exams, order my contacts and that’s a wrap. This year I upgraded my vision coverage so that I would pay less for new frames.
I went in for my exam (this was the third annual exam I’ve had here and each time it was with a different doctor) and then told them I was interested in new glasses. This is where things began to go down hill. I went into the back where the glasses were kept and began browsing. I found a fantastic pair of frames and asked what the cost would be with my insurance. I’m not saying that they were necessarily expensive but it was more than I wanted to pay at that time given the fact that I was in the middle of paying for my wedding and new frames were more of a want than a need. I explained this and they said, ok what if we knock another 10% off? It really felt like I was buying a used car «what do I need to do to get you into these frames».
I decided I would use my vision allowance on contacts which made a lot more fiscal sense. When I went to the desk to order the contacts another doctor (possible a technician) was out there and asked which frames I chose. I explained my situation at which he responded something along the lines of your fiancé doesn’t need to know, you need to do things for yourself, yadda yadda yadda. Thanks jive turkey I’ll try to remember that but I’m still not getting the frames.
There were some other comments made about marriage that seemed mildly inappropriate in a professional office that I can’t really recall. There are enough options in this great city to not have go through weird situations like this.

If I could give less than a 1 star review I would.
I have no idea why, after walking through the front door, I didn’t turn around and RUN out of there. This place is a DUMP! The carpet looks like multiple people have died (or worse) on it and I can’t believe I actually sat in one of the waiting room chairs. FILTHY.
The staff were rude and did not at all care that my fiancé and I were new patients – not the LEAST bit welcoming.
The Dr. was an ass after we told him that we would like to take our prescription home with us, including pupillary distance, so that we could order glasses from Warby Parker. We had both received gift cards for Christmas so obviously we are going to use them… He insisted that we look at the frames he had to offer. We had to step over a HOLE IN THE FLOOR into the weird «closet» room that offered frames that looked like they came from the back of a truck.
You could not PAY ME to ever walk in this place again. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s even still open… afterall the city is cracking down on places that are uninhabitable! GROSS.

Found Dr. Page’s office through my insurance website, VSP. Called on a Sunday to schedule an appointment and left a message, received a call back the next morning to get scheduled. Was very easy to schedule an appointment and get started — gave some basic information over the phone and they had all my insurance information ready when I got there. Got a reminder phone call 2 days before my appointment, which was good!
They have extended hours on Wednesday and Saturday which is great. I went in at 2:30 on a Saturday and waited a few minutes but then got right in and motored through the exam.
Quick and easy exam, tested with and without contacts, and even with glasses on to make sure I got the right prescription.
Ordered some new designer frames and contacts today, waiting to head back in and pick them up.
A great experience from a courteous doctor, will definitely be back as needed!

I went here a year ago based on co-worker’s recommendations. I don’t recal how long I waited to be seen; however, it doens’t stand out so I am sure I didn’t wait that long, if at all. Since my appointment I received glasses from another vendor and they were really quick at faxing my perscription to the vendor. I did buy 6 months of contacts there at my appointment and after that I went through another vendor. They were very nice and timely for both of my outside purchases. I will be calling back today to make an appointment.

I ordered a pair of frames online, and the vendor needed to know my pupillary distance. Dr. Page’s office had the information but refused to help at first, and then, after I insisted, would only offer to fax or mail my prescription. I don’t have a fax machine (who does, anymore?) and couldn’t wait for them to mail it as I needed the info immediately, but they refused to email it to me or tell me over the phone.
I won’t be returning to an office that’s this unwilling to help.

Nice and courteous. Dr. Page tries to be very thorough in exams (though I respectfully declined the pupil dilation because I did not want it that day). Told them very matter-​of-​factly that I get my contacts and glasses elsewhere. They did not push me to get them there. Only thing is that I ordered contacts elsewhere and the office did not update the fact that I got an eye exam a few days ago and updated prescription… so my order got declined. They must be busy – I was disappointed though. However, no big reason to change optometrists.

The place looks pretty busy so that can be a sign of good service and or good value for the service. I got my eye exam at a different place so I can not give opinion about that. But I ordered my lenses here because they would take my insurance! BOY, four weeks later and I am still waiting for my glasses. Not to mention they got it wrong the first time! Every time I call (not that they should be calling me the customer) they give me a different story about the delay with my glasses.
So they are busy and guess what? May be that is why my glasses are late too. I think someone forgot or misplaced my glasses. WHAT A MESS of a place.

Found him a few years ago through my insurance. Dr. Page is friendly and efficient, and can usually schedule an appointment without a wait of months and months. There is an in-​house optical shop that has all the basics and can order frames upon request (for example, I wanted pink New Wayfarers, which they didn’t stock, and they were able to order them with my color choice of lenses). This office also has extended hours on Wednesdays and weekends, which is awesome.

My glasses broke. In the same day I was able to get an eye exam and a new pair of glasses.
Dr. Page did a great job and the prices were very reasonable.

Dr. Page is a very nice man who will take the time to get to know you and help you figure out exactly what prescription/​contact lenses are best for you. His prices are also unbeatable. $ 60 for an exam and he will match any online website’s prices (like 1 – 800 contacts) for contacts. I am a medical student and when he found this out he also turned my visit into a learning experience, showing me pictures of diseased retinas and explaining the pathology. His office staff are also very nice and helpful. They will even mail your contacts to your house! Very professional and well worth a visit!

$ 40 without insurance for an eye exam? Not bad at all! Thanks dudes.

Scott Page and his glasses people were GREAT.
I was in a tough place, having just moved to Philadelphia from out of state. I had a recent prescription from an eye doctor in my prior state, went to get glasses at Lenscrafters, and then couldn’t see out of the result. Neither Lenscrafters nor my old Doctor would admit to erring, so I was in a bind unable to use my glasses.
Went to Dr. Page who got me in right away and figured out the errors with the prescription, then ordered new lenses. Was told they’d be ready in two or three days, but they were ready the very next day. Everyone on the staff was very nice and helpful. The Dr was in with a patient when I picked up my glasses, but then came running out to catch me in the elevator as I was leaving to double check that everything was good.

only charges $ 50 for an exam, easily the best price I’ve found. He’s a good personal presence, did a good job.
