Slingluff Gallery

A quick jaunt from the train, this adorable space is filled with a variety of art at a range of prices: from high-​end paintings & photography (worthy of Life magazine) to several $ 5-​$ 10 crafty items. I don’t often give anything 5 stars, owned by friends or no, but this place is lovely to look at, community oriented, and goes out of it’s way to incorporate ALL of the arts in a tiny adorable space.
I can’t lie: this little gallery started with 3 stars before I walked in. It’s owned by friends (painter Jonathan Slingluff and his lovely photographer/​photogenic wife Leigh) I’ve known since early high school. They’ve had my friend Denise perform here (she’s an amazing poetess/​singer), and they sell a book written by my friend Alanna (on Poe’s ties to Philadelphia). Like I said, this gallery started with 3 stars on this review before I walked in…
but it EARNED the other two. Please stop by, it’s worth your while.
