Restaurant closed per their Facebook post June 10, 2016. Sorry to see them go! We were looking forward to visiting. It looked like a great place to check out especially in the summer! Hope to see them reopen again.

Maybe it was too high expectations, but the woman who took our order didn’t know if the ribs were baby backs or not. kale slaw was on menu but they didn’t have. Instead we got rice and beans, which were highly bland and disappointing. The tacos were good, but just good. The duclaw beer was fabulous, and we ate outside on street(not a pretty street I might add) but it was less than $ 30 and it was satisfying, but not exciting or amazing by a long shot; not inclined to return.

This is a hidden gem! Amazing food and service. The employees were super friendly. I had a chicken taco which was filled with lots of flavor along with a pork taco which was also amazing. Totally will go back. Their prices are cheap too. Great beer selection. Go!

This place is a gem. Really good, substantial portions. Couldn’t finish my pulled pork tacos, so my BF ate my last one and proclaimed it «omg, this is good.» House made chips were awesome, too. Sides were good, the kale slaw needed some more zing, but I still enjoyed it. Sitting outside with a pint and good food can’t be beat! Live music, too!

I really enjoy this place. Slightly off the beaten path and very simple. Tucked into the small neighborhood of Bridesburg, Smokey Pint is the perfect combination of food truck meets modern BBQ shack. The draft selection is simple and on par with similar places. The food is perfectly cooked and the staff are friendly and pleasant to interact with. They also offer to go beer… how could you not love that?

Food is ridiculously good, staff is awesome and the selection of beers is great. Their hours are stupid though. Wouldve been 5 stars other than that.

First off extremely welcoming and friendly. I let them know it was my first time there and they recommended the daily meat with two sides(pork loin, corn salad, creamed spinach). My girlfriend got the pulled pork grilled cheese with homemade chips. She also got the«adult» root beer float that was boombastic misses fantastic. The décor was perfect and fit for people born in the right decade. They have games(Simpsons pictionary, jenga, playing cards) to keep you occupied while waiting for your food. We played cards but the food came out so quick we weren’t able to finish our game. Food: What can I say but flawless. Pulled pork sandwich wasn’t overly sweet, just right. The pork loin was tender and juicy. Flavor on everything was on point. Can’t wait to go back and try the ribs or something finger drenching.

Wife and I tried this joint for the first time on a Sat eve take out, as it’s 5 min from our home. We are always trying new places and love that we had a new option for bbq close by. Start with the ribs, which were unfortunately short ribs, disappointing, just ok I would prefer regular pork, baby backs or beef as they have more real smoke taste, fell right off bone. this should not be, I like a little resistance. They added some bbq suace which didn’t help, it wasn’t that good, I prefer dry rubbed bbq on side. Chile was real good, kale slaw was diff and ok, the dressing was too thick and just too much of it. Pulled chicken tacos were very good, Mac n cheese was ok. Corn bread was probably stale, I hope it was, because it was very dry, taste was ok but man it was dry. May or may not return to try some of the other options and beer, they should probably define the rib selection and I should have asked. Owners were very nice as well, food was ready in less than 10min, décor was very nice. Good Luck to Them. JK

We checked this place out for lunch. My oh my was it good. This place is a hidden gem. The customer service was excellent. Kinda like chipotle in a way and you order and these guys actually bring it to you. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with the works, it came with house made chips and pickle. Delicious! I made mine into a combo, had the kale slaw and the corn salad. The kale slaw was excellent! the corn salad was good, different but good. Wife had the turkey soup, and pork taco. She was raving about both, very happy with the choice. We ended with the bread pudding, I enjoyed but my wife didn’t. It was good but not great. This place is a solid 4.5 stars. I only wish the menu was a bit bigger, they have a huge beer selection but the food menu was limited. All in all it was a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Review would be a 3 ½ star review for the draft and bottle selection but food is a 2 for sure. Stopped in on a Friday night and got the brisket sliders(dry), ½ rack of ribs(meh), cole slaw (tasted spoiled) and corn bread. The sliders had the cole slaw on them and between the spoiled taste and the dry brisket we did not finish. The ribs were a bit dry and fell off the bone in one bite. Not the way they should be according to the BBQ Association. Everything tasted as if it was sitting around all day. We live close by and love to support local business’s so we were very disappointed overall.

Amazing food, Amazing ribs!!! It’s not your typical restaurant. When we came at noon, it was completely dead. But don’t let that fool you! My husband ordered the smoked barbecue ribs and I ordered the chipotle chicken tacos. The meats are cooked so deliciously good, the meat is simply falling off the rib bones and all meats are are deliciously tender. You can taste the smoked wood when you savor the smoked barbecue ribs. I am not a fan of Mac & Cheese, but Smokey Pints Mac & Cheese is sooo delicious that I was in love with the place. The Cole Slaw was the best I ever tasted. This place will not disappoint you taste buds.

Had a great time here last night. We got here late so they were out of chicken and brisket so we got pulled pork, both as tacos and sliders. They were good, but the real reasons I had a great time were: 1. The beer selection is great and C H E A P!(Please keep it this way!!) and 2. 82 year old David. This guy chatted us up for over 20 minutes about everything from buying gold to describing living in Germany during WW2, including opening his shirt to show us the shrapnel scars that put him in an Austrian hospital for a month when he was a little boy! He flexed his impressive 82 year old biceps for us and sang a love song to my girlfriend in Russian. I will most certainly be back to hang with David(apparently he is here every night) and to drink them cheap beers and eat up some bbq. If I have any suggestions it would be to expand the menu a bit(vegetables) and to get David a guitar!

I’m so loving the concept here, and really loving the fact that this awesome new establishment is five minutes from my house! For some reason I thought this would be a sit down waited table situation, but that’s not the case. You order your food and beer at the front, pick a seat, and get down. I prefer this set up as it seems much more casual of an experience. I’m not a huge bbq fan so I was thrilled to see some more tex mex type stuff offered. I got the chipotle chicken tacos and loved them. The pineapple barbecue sauce was the perfect accompaniment. My dad ordered the brisket sliders and quite liked them as well. The sides are where it’s at. Mac and cheese was perfection, and my padre said the cole slaw was the best he’s ever had. All this deliciousness, and about seven local beers on tap! I washed down my delicious tacos with a Cape of Good Hope IPA and all was right with the world. I’m a fan!

I ordered the baby back ribs which was 4 nice size ribs accompanied by cole slaw and corn bread. The ribs were excellent. Very tender, meaty and the BBQ sauce had a nice amount of tang. The coleslaw was really good for what it is and the corn bread was also enjoyable. Next time I want to try the Mac and cheese because it looked really good.

This place is definitely worth seeking out, especially as a lunch option, considering that you’re likely to sit on a stool at a counter with take-out paper containers and plastic cutlery. I like the emphasis on local craft brews, although staff should be better educated on them. There is also a very good selection of bottles and cans to consume onsite or to take home. The chipotle chicken tacos were terrific. The meat was good quality and was deliciously smoked. So too was the brisket slider. Too often brisket is dry and uninteresting, but this was perfectly cooked, with a nice, natural smokiness. The potion was huge. The pork slider was not as interesting, although the apple slaw was really good, jazzed up with sizzle from habanero. The downside for both though, were the generic, cheap, bland and too doughy hamburger rolls they were served on(those rolls you get in cellophane in a grocery store — yuck!). The black beans side was good too, although it was served a little too cold. The space was nicely done — a combination industrial/woodsy. They should deep six the TV though. Staff was super friendly and helpful, even if they were not too knowledgeable about the beer. Parking is easy. And at the end of the block you can get great smoked and fresh kielbasa at Lachowicz’s market.

Great place for the neighborhood. This is a sign of great changes to come. Awesome food and great local beer. The beer is also dirt cheap too. Had the oink and moo chili, great take on a Texas chili with no beans as filler. The Mac and cheese was good too. Nice and cheesy with a crisp top. The wife had the pulled pork sliders(much bigger than you’d expect for sliders) and then we split the chipotle chicken tacos. All of it was great. Good flavors and great atmosphere. Awesome place. Can’t wait to go again.

I’ve only been here once, but can’t wait to go back. It probably gets an extra star due to location, I won’t lie. For the prices they charge, the food was really good, the staff was friendly and the beer… it’s the cheapest beer prices I have ever seen. It could only be cheaper if you bought a case and drank at home. It’s also self-service, so you don’t have to rely on a moronic waiter and you don’t have to tip either. Need I say more? Check this place out people! Oh, and my only beef is, they do NOT have any type of collard greens, salad or anything green. Lacking on the vegetables. I’m a pretty healthy eater, I can’t do bbq and then mac n cheese and then bread, it weighs me down and I need to immediately nap, no matter where I’m at.

I was so excited about this place. Which is why it pains me that I’m writing this. We picked up dinner tonight and here’s the low down. The staff was rude and inattentive. The food was cold. The potatoes in the potato salad were under cooked. The mac & cheese was sitting in a literal PUDDLE of grease and the corn bread was like eating sand. Oh, and it was ridiculously expensive for the quantity of food served(super small portions). You’d think a place like this would step up their game to gain a following or at the very least for Father’s Day. We’ll stick with Sweet Lucy’s. Nice décor though.

Smokey Pint is a true gem and a much needed addition to the neighborhood! Its a bit off the beaten path which I personally like, but honestly its really just around the corner from Fishtown/Port Richmond. I have eaten at all the good BBQ joints in Philly and Smokey Pint is quickly becoming my new favorite. Ive been multiple times since they opened a week ago haha and I am excited to eat my way through their entire menu as this place is super close to my work! The popular food truck Oink and Moo is behind the food at Smokey Pint and they are putting out a MOOtastic selection BBQ meats and OINKilicious sides. So far my favorites are the ribs and mac n cheese with the pulled pork sliders being a close second. Seriously though, their ribs are something special and I highly recommend giving them a try– you won’t be disappointed! Smokey Pint is a tastefully done joint and has a nice chillaxed environment– just my speed and perfect for housing some BBQ! They offer a great selection of microbrews– both draft and a large bottle selection that is priced very well. Even if you’re not hungry, Smokey Pint is a great spot to hang out and have few brews without paying the increasingly taxed prices of Fishtown/NoLibs. Five stars from this here guy– keep up the great work Smokey Pint!

A welcomed and long overdue addition to Bridesburg! Smokey Pint is truly one of a kind, and not just for the neighborhood, but the city. First, let’s talk food. Specializing in BBQ, all the food is created by the Oink and Moo food truck team. SP is offering a solid selection of the trucks staples, from quesadillas, to sliders, tacos, mac & cheese, ribs, and more! And the brisket is to die for, a must try! Then comes the beer. You can choose from a selection of 6 rotating drafts, or 3 full fridges full of bottled and canned beer. Mix and match to create your own six pack, drink it in, or both. SP is a must go if you live in the neighborhood, and definitely worth the trip from the city!
