Sole Control

So this place is closed down and has been for over a month and they have yet to contact customers about it. Very unprofessional!!! If you have shoes it there or are waiting, don’t get your hopes up for anything positive.

This place is an absolute rip for all the reasons listed below in previous reviews.

I stopped by and bought a pair of retro Jordans. When I first walking in none of the shoes had prices on them so I started asking the white kid working there what the prices were for some of the shoes. He basically blew me off and was an unhelpful prick. A black dude with a muslim beard came over after I asked him about prices since the white dude decided to take a break outside somewhere. I told him my price range and he brought out all of the jordans in that price range for me to check out and try on. The white kid however had absolutely no social skills or salesmanship. If I had to deal with just him I would’ve walked out and they wouldn’t have gotten a dime from me. The muslim dude who was nice enough to show me various pairs in my price range and size while the white kid was being a complete unhelpful prick.

I did a preorder for two shoes and the shoe came and was defected. I tried sole control out to avoid raffles, lines, hassles of any kind. Instead they charged my credit card and never sent out an email confirmation or tracking number. When the shoe finally arrived the box looked like a Mike Tyson victim. They overcharged me $ 200 dollars over retail for each shoe. The whole insole was torn apart to shreds. Someone attempted to tape the insole back together. The communication is terrible. They ignore all emails sent out to them. It was quite evident they could care less about the customer or selling quality shoes. I will never buy from them again. If you are looking for a great consignment store i suggest

Lastly, i wish Unilocal offered a negative review. It would get a negative 5. This company is lucky the lowest score is a 1. I was completely neglected on all fronts and overpaid for an item that looked like a doggy spent the day chewing it apart.

Prices tend to be a bit high, but you know your never getting fakes, and the customer service is top notch. I went there to pick up a preordered pair of sneakers, and Nike had pushed the release date back, they couldn’t have been more apologetic for something they has no control over. I even got phone calls updating me on the status of the order after I went to get them the first time. Good, knowledgable staff, and great selection.

I ordered a size 8.5 coraline dunk from them and it said Ds, but they shoe had a big crease on the toe box one shoe was laced up and it had a sharpie smudge near the pull tab keep in mind the shoe was considered deadstock to them

If you have extra sneaker money, this is the place. I don’t think I’ve worn $ 200 shoes of any kind since high school. I’ve heard of their popularity more recently and finally got to see a store filled with them. They are so vibrant! I love them. Some questions I have are: are they more comfortable than regular sneaks, or is it just a fad? Can I wear them to work?! ;- P

They used to be good until they lost some of the only knowlegable staff they had. They have recently been caught dealing in fakes… With other botique and consignment shops in the area STAY CLEAR… Its unfortunate because 2 years ago I would have recommended them to anyone…

Sole Control help me sell and buy some of the sneakers i’d had that i was saving to get others that i wanted. Friendly knowledgeable and with access to so many rare finds. Great idea guys and keep up the good work!!!
