Let’s start with 1 hour and 45 mins for delivery. Then let’s add that the order of dumplings consisted of 2 dumplings. Just no.

Great food, terrible delivery. After waiting an hour and a half for delivery, called to check on status and was told that someone had called and cancelled my order.(?!$&?!) Since this ABSOLUTELY never happened(at least from my phone number) I have no idea what was going on. Han Dynasty it is instead. Smdh.

This is my favorite fancy thai place in philadelphia! If you want to be casual and lazy banana leaf is the spot. If youre looking for a fancy date night, birthday dinner Spice 28 is the spot. The drinks are huge and strong and the food is as spicy as you ask for! I had the drunken noodles and they were delicious! My friends who eat meat also loved their food. I recommend this place.

The Drunken Noodle with beef is a must try perfect for anyone who has a taste pallet for spicy food. Service was great and everyone was so nice in helping us out. They offer yummy cocktails as well! Great place for a quick lunch break.

Fun funky vibe throughout the whole restaurant with the lighting and bar. The bathroom is spot on clean too. It is behind the curtains so it maybe tricky to spot. Chili sauce and wontons is a must! Same goes for the cucumbers appetizer! You are going to need to ask for extra napkins, but they both are refreshingly tasty. Both oils used are delicious. The prices are worth it here and I never felt cheated. It’s Asian food not with the cheap tacky chairs and dingy tables. Everything looks clean and polished with a fun touch. The whole set up is more inviting than any other take out or dine in spot. The server I had was nice and took care of us to make the train.

I met the Spice at the beginning of my vacation in Philadelphia and made sure to come back more than once. All the times I was very well attended. The dishes arrived quickly. The atmosphere is warm and the décor is chic and stylish. The waiter let me taste the wine to help me drink decision. I keep thinking about that spicy noodle dish, Dan Dan Noodle. Hmmmm… I can not wait to return to Philadelphia and eat there again.

Two words. Han Dynasty. Seriously, good try, but no. I am dissapoint ed I gave this restaurant $ 20 for the hot sauce style and dumplings. My mouth has some weird tingling to it and im. not sure why. I am a big fan of spice, and this place was pretty mild. The bathrooms were GROSS the service was very good, the food, just not worth your money. If you haven’t tried szechuan before and are local, go ahead, if you have the means, try han dynasty(old city, West philly) — I prefer the way west philly makes their food. I guess because I am such a fan of spcie, flavor, and. all around appetizing food, im. just dissapoint ed but they must be doing something right if enough people rated they ave a 4.

Really great Chinese food. I’ve ordered fried pork with hot peppers at many a Chinese restuarant in Philly, but Spice 28 has the best. Spicy enough to feel it, without having to beg the cook to make it spicier. The atmosphere at the restaurant is on par with other places in the area — a little cramped, with tables for two very close to each other. Great value on the entrees and drinks. If you want a little more privacy, you can pay a little more and go to nearby Zama.

Cocktails– Good. But suuuuuper sugary. Food– LOL. Plastic in our over-cooked calamari and duck fat only in our«duck» salad. Waiter response«okay.» Hah! Come for the drinks, leave with diabetes and duck fat with a plastic souvenir.

They have happy hour on Sundays which is awesome. Their happy hour specials are fantastic– food and drinks. Dumplings in chili oil are delicious and dan dan noodles are huge and yummy. Thai basil fried rice was great. Tuna dumplings are so good– served with chili oil and avocado.

So, myself and my person decided to try something new in Center City and we were feeling a little Asian fusion. We walked into this place and it had a very trendy, young ambiance to it. A lot of young professionals out on a Friday night – drinking their fancy cocktails and talking shop? Who knows. Anyways, we started out with a few appetizers to get the night going. I had a small bowl of Tom Yum soup, which I am always a sucker for and tuna avocado salad. The soup didn’t have enough lemongrass in it for my taste, but it was still decent. But, the tuna avocado salad — boy, that was so good! Let me be clear, this isn’t canned tuna, but rather delicious Ahi tuna. And they weren’t skimpy with the avocado either! I would suggest ordering this! Unfortunately, the entrees didn’t give as much punch as the tuna avocado salad. My partner ordered the drunken noodles and asked for it to come spicier, but neither the flavor or the spice deliver. Whomp. I ended up with panang curry with tofu. Again, we asked for that dish to come spicier. It didn’t come as spicy as we wanted. Maybe we have a high tolerance for heat, but I was disappointed with the final product. Overall, not a terrible experience, but maybe next time, I might have to try something different on the menu!

Came here for happy hour with a friend. Ordered a whole bunch of appetizers: chicken skewers, ahi tuna dumplings, indian pancake, and lettuce wraps. Each were about $ 4.00 a piece. Ahi tuna dumplings were pretty interesting. They were served over guacamole and some type of salsa. It worked. Everything was tasty and service was consistent. No complaints.

This place was good but was nothing amazing… at least from what I ordered. It was my first visit this afternoon. I was here for restaurant week. My first course was the wonton soup. Good, but nothing special. I then received the chili aioli rock shrimp. This was a tasty piece and was presented nicely. The main entrée was the cumin beef. I had no issue with the quality and it was very good but I felt the dish did not distinguish itself from what you could get in a chinese take-out spot. Everything was cooked well and you could definitely taste the spice when you first sample it. It was a good dish, and I finished it, but it was nothing that I was really impressed with. I finished off with a tiramisu and this was also good but nothing fantastic. The one nice thing with this place is they brew there own tea and so you won’t be getting the Lipton stuff when order one. My rating does not reflect any negative experiences with this venue. I just was not too impressed with the flavor of the dish I ordered. I just felt there would be no difference from take-out if I was presented this in a styrofoam container. I would love to come here again and try something new in the future

Ambience was great. Modern-cool-mellow. Is the best way I can describe it ! Nice design. It’s a small space but it seemed to accommodate a lot of people comfortably. Food was very timely. The staff was friendly and attentive . Food was great overall. I had the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimp were a nice size. My boyfriend had the beef Saigon, which is beef cuts over chopped onions an white rice. He enjoyed it. For a appetizer we had calamari and spicy cucumber. Both were good but the calamari was better. The cucumber was in a bath of spicy sauce. It was refreshing ! But not something I would order again. Drinks: I also has the Thai ice tea, Good! Just imagine sweet tea with milk added! Boyfriend had dragon nectar cocktail, it was sweet and fruity. Not a heavy liquor taste.

Meal: Lunch Service: On point. Seated immediately and the server knew his dishes well. Asked about a specific dish and he went into detail about the ingredients and prep. Good came out quick and my water was constantly refilled. Food: order the chicken Thai basil lunch special for $ 9, which comes with a bowl of rice and choice of wonton or tomyum soup. I did the brown rice, and it was too dry. It was rice, but it was like eating pebbles. The wonton soup was average, but I literally only got one wonton in my wonton soup. The Thai basil was good, very flavorful and not too oily. Portion wasn’t huge, but it did the job. I was in and out within 35 minutes, which was quite impressive. Overall: priced right, flavor is there, but portions could be a little bigger. I didn’t leave hungry, but I got hungry before the workday was over.

We were looking for a cute spot after dinner and happened to walk by Spice 28. We walked in and it was pretty busy we sat at the bar. There was only one stool left so I sat and my fiancé was going to stand. Immediate an employee brought over a stool which was much appreciated. I was looking for a sweet but strong martini and that is what I got with the french pear martini. Mmm. I wish we hadn’t already been drinking because we would have stuck around for a while. This restaurant and bar area is VERY small. The bartender took a while to take our order and never checked on us. Another employee came to check on us and by this time we were ready to go. I would come again for their perfectly crafted cocktails but was not really tempted by the menu.

Loved it!!! The spicy appetizer cucumber appetizer alone gets 5 stars. It was AMAZING!!! I can’t remember the last time I loved so much I wanted to lick the bowl clean. It’s a cold dish, and the cucumbers are in this amazing sweet, peanut-y, tangy, well spiced sauce. Spiced by the hands of god, I’d say ;) We were there during happy hour so they were only $ 3 which is a steal. The Tom Yum soup was indeed yum but didn’t quite get the flavor I’m used to/was craving. Still worth it though. I ordered the drunken noodles for my main dish, also really good but just a tad bit too dry. Still really enjoyed them and I would order them again but didn’t blow my mind. The space is really cute, especially if you can snag one of the seats by the window that are super comfy. The staff was super nice and friendly. I asked for hot sauce for my main course and they brought out regular hot sauce as well as their house sauce. This was one of the most unique hot sauces I’ve ever had. It had a really… warm…taste. I know that sounds weird but you have to try it to understand. It was flavorful more than spicy and I really enjoyed it. Long story short — go! and order the spicy cucumbers and ask for the house hot sauce!

This place is just too damn good. I came here on a cute lunch date, when the wait at El Vez was out of control. In hindsight, I’m actually very pleased about it. The hostess was totally adorable, and gave us a very nice table by the window. The décor in here, by the way, is also totally adorable – super trendy and modern, with lots of natural light. In case you weren’t aware:(I wasn’t) Blue Moon and Pad Thai is definitely a winning combo. I couldn’t believe how delicious my meal was, and my date was equally pleased with his. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. It seems like everyone who works here wears a smile, and it’s contagious! Honestly, I can’t imagine having a bad experience here. Be suspicious of any review below five stars! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is divine, and the service is efficient and welcoming. I’d come back any day of the week.

Came here on a holiday weekend and this place was busy but not crazy packed; the way I like it. Got to try the following: — Dan dan noodle — very tasty and a nicely sized portion. Wish there was a little more pork! — Dumplings in chili oil — a staple, very good — Dry pepper chicken — the BEST! the portion is large as well. Sharing is caring! We also ordered the shisojito and the thai ginger coconut bomb. They were both tasty but I’m not sure if there was that much alcohol in them. Nonetheless, come for the dry pepper dishes!

GREAT Asian fusion spot in philly — one of the best considering price. Great flavorful food, great happy hour deal, and service is usually good. Cocktails are a little pricy($ 10) but pretty good. One thing is they don’t always allow you to sit down and have happy hour. For some reason you only get the deal by the bar. The décor of this place is pretty trendy too. If you like Thai /Chinese type food you’ll love it here. Get the hot sauce chicken!
