I’ve driven by this place many times, but haven’t stopped when there has been a line of kids outside. Last night my wife and I were driving by and stopped for water ice shortly before they were closing. Oh my God! The best water ice I have ever tasted. As advertised, it is creamy, closer to the texture of ice cream. My peach water ice actually tasted like real peaches, not artificially flavored. It could be my imagination, but it seemed like it had real chunks of peach in it. In any case, it was that good! The person who served us seemed to genuinely hope that we liked it– not an indifferent kid. Comparing this to a chain like Rita’s is like comparing a gourmet restaurant to McDonald’s. But the prices were very reasonable. Do not stereotype this place because of its location in the city on the corner of Haverford Ave. It is Main Line quality and worth the trip.
