I hate to say this, but it would appear that Stiletto is no more. A recent glimpse at its windows while walking by revealed the sad news as an ‘available space’ sign now hangs prominently in front of the blinds. I will fondly remember the day when, after just recently moving into CC I stumbled into their shoe boutique, the SALE sign prompting me onwards, to find myself with a pair of Brian Atwood wedges in hand, a steal at $ 70 in cash. After a mad dash back home for the required amount(only four blocks away!), I walked away gleefully with my spoils. *sigh* I can only pray to the fashion gods that it will somehow remain a designer shoe store in the end.

Sexy sexy sexy shoes are to be found at this boutique — but just be prepared to pay. Lemme tell you, though, ladies: they are worth every penny. All the designer names are there(and a few I’ve never heard of) but when I want to feel tall, skinny and hot, this is my go to place. Now I just need more $$$ so I can afford to buy the place out. It’s not exactly designed for a girl on a budget, but hey, sometimes in life you just need to treat yourself, right? And remember, no matter how much weight you gain, shoes pretty much stay the same size, so you can consider them an investment. At least that’s what I’m going to keep telling myself…

All of my favorite shoes are from Stiletto! OK… maybe not *all*, but the majority of my favorite shoes are from Stiletto. Heed the name of the boutique & steer clear if you’re the type who prefers clogs, sneakers, or mostly comfy, flat or earthy shoes(take a jaunt across the street to Benjamin Lovell, I think you’ll be pleased!) If you’re in the market for a great, funky pair of sky high pumps you HAVE to look here. Some of my favorite shoe designers which they carry are Barbara Bui & Casadei. Casadei is absolutely delicious & sometimes has matching clutches for their shoes! Another great thing about Stiletto is that they only get one size of each shoe in so that you can rest easy knowing that few people will be sharing your style around town. Check the boutique during season changes for fab end of season sales, too. They have a small collection of clothing as well. Nothing to write home about, but still some fun night out-on-the-town stuff that’s always handy in almost any wardrobe.
