I am a teacher in North Philadelphia, and I had noticed on my morning Dunkin Donuts visits that this subway location opened at 7 am. «Great!» I thought, this is a place where i can get a sandwich in the morning before school, put it in the fridge in the teacher’s lounge at school, where i can then enjoy it on my lunch break without having to leave the building. So this past week, I did a trial run, and stopped in during my morning prep period around 9:00 am. I placed the order, the lady was nice who made it, and then we got to the register. And then it went bad. She couldn’t get my card run through the register, and then the guy who was working there came over, and after 6 to 7 minutes where i was patiently standing there waiting(never once did i groan, never once did i make mention that i was on a tight schedule, having to get back to the school building for my next group of students) the man finally said to me, «our internet is down, we can only do cash.» Well, the problem is, is that I had no cash on me, and at this point, at least 7 minutes of my prep period/break time has been wasted while you’ve had to tech your register while I’ve patiently waited for you. I had no cash, and he took my sandwich back. Amazing. What’s more amazing, is the minute they realized their internet was down, neither one of them rushed to the door to post a sign warning incoming customers that it was cash only. At that point, if he had apologized and given me the sandwich(with the order time and the wait time while we teched the register, i had spent almost 15 minutes there) I would be giving them a glowing GREAT review for exceptional customer service. But instead, I have the OPPOSITE for them. They took up 15 minutes of my break time, and this was my TRIALRUN!!! I wouldve been ordering from them at least a couple times a week if this had went well. Instead… I bought myself a lunch bag and I’ll make my own sandwiches at home.

The people who work here are Indian. Which when you don’t understand what they say instead of repeating it. They act like you understand them. The woman who works here is terrible. She asked me if I want lettuce before I could say anything she is already putting it on my hoagie. When that’s not what I want. Terrible service!

They kicked me out because I was on my computer for 30 minutes while I was eating their garbage food. Terrible.

While usually you get a different sandwich depending on the person making it, this location is the best. The people who work here don’t ever skimp on the ingredients and its always clean inside. The only complaint I have heard is that they are too slow and take too much care in making your sub look good…
