I have been natural for four years after doing a big chop from relaxed hair. Throughout these four years, I have damaged my hair over and over again. I really wish I knew of K’niya way sooner than last fall. I found her thru online research and decided to try her as a result of her all star reviews. From the moment I talked to her on the phone to make my first appointment, I was being educated. She is now my go to for trims(I’m tired of scissor happy divas). I found out I was using the wrong products for my super fine hair and she has recommended more appropriate products. Her prices are reasonable; especially when you factor in the explanation of your hair and service, the high quality products, and her respect for your time. Anyone thinking of trying Textures, you won’t be disappointed. K’niya really does care about the health of your hair.

Hair stylist and owner Kinaya is amazing! She took her time fixing the mess that I called my hair with such professionalism and knowledge. Her expertise showed through in her thorough explanation of each process of getting my dark multitoned, color ravished hair back to beauty. Kinaya colored and cut my hair after accepting me as a new client way after her normal business hours. Her dedication and patience spoke volumes. I can’t imagine having a better first experience. I highly recommend Kinaya for color, cut, shaping and straightening natural hair.

Professional. Clean. In & Out! K’niya is all about healthy hair. Ask her a question and she will explain the science of hair, what chemicals work best and which ones to avoid. I have natural, thick hair and she is one of few who can blow dry it straight. When I was considering touching up my color she advised me to wait to make sure my hair wouldn’t get damaged. I highly recommend this place!

K’niya is the establishments owner, she has been practicing her craft for over 15 yrs. Everyone from average joe to news casters to teenie boppers come here to get there hair nurtured. Ive never been to a salon that is more multicultural then this, having clients from(indian-african american-asian) all walks of life so the name really fits. I would have to say her specialty is being a colorist, because its no clairol out the box. No that just wont do, she mixes her colors from scratch, so u get exactly what u want from the start. And for a wash/curl is 45 $ which is reasonable now of days, because other salon may charge 75+ for this service
