The Boudoir By Cheyenne Gil

There isn’t enough space to write about how amazing my experience was with Cheyenne! I chose Cheyenne to do some boudoir photos to give to my husband for our wedding Anniversary. My first thoughts were, «this is ridiculous», «these people will look so funny and awkward because I have no clue what I’m doing!» As soon as I met Cheyenne, all of those thoughts went out the window. She made me feel so comfortable, so beautiful and super powerful. And my god, the pictures are out of this world! What I learned in the end is that these pictures aren’t just for my husband… they are for me too. It’s easy to be shameful about our bodies and criticize them. But these pictures made me fall in love with my body all over again. And that type of self love is priceless. I would highly recommend using Cheyenne if you’re considering doing boudoir photography. No matter your size, personality, imperfections (and we all have them), she will make you feel like damn Beyonce! Thanks again, Cheyenne. Your work is beautiful, inspiring and full of love.

I re-​joined Unilocal just so I could give Cheyenne a review, and no one is as deserving of a stellar review as her. I chose to inquire about a boudoir shoot when I saw a couple of Facebook friends post her incredible work. I emailed her and an upbeat, energetic response was sent almost immediately.
I wish I could give 10 stars to Cheyenne. As someone who has struggled with her appearance, even going so far as to buy a boudoir package (on Groupon) and then never book the appointment, I was surprised how at ease I felt with her right from the beginning.
My shoot was technically a last dating anniversary/​Christmas present for my fiancé, but I realized while I was there that I did it mostly as a present to myself. Getting married puts so much societal pressure on a woman to lose weight, be as thin as possible, bleach her teeth, spray tan, and all-​around change. Cheyenne’s message was clear as day: Unconditional Body Love. She encouraged me not to diet before the shoot, to make sure i ate enough the morning of, and not to tan. She helped me with outfit ideas and never once made me feel silly when I was sending her random pictures of lingerie «outfits» I found online.
The day of the shoot, her phenomenal makeup artist went to work, making me look naturally beautiful, enhancing my features instead of doing a generic makeup application. Cheyenne did my hair, all the while the most perfect playlist was playing in the background. I was so incredibly nervous, but Cheyenne made me feel not only at ease, but stunningly beautiful, throughout the process. She guided me and gave me tips the entire time, even showing me exactly how she wanted me to pose. I left feeling like a gorgeous supermodel.
My fiancé loves the book, and I must admit that I do too. Cheyenne made me into a breathtaking badass — or should I say, brought out the badass that was in there all along?
I couldn’t recommend Cheyenne’s photography services more. She’s an all-​around beautiful and talented woman who has created and grown the Body Love Tribe — and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?

Cheyenne is such an incredible photographer and on top of that, a pretty kick ass person! On my way to my photo shoot with her, I was already nervous and then my car ran out of gas. When I called to explain why I was running late, she and her dad came to pick me up and put gas in my car for me!!! That’s pretty much customer service at its finest, ladies and gents.
While I was having my hair and makeup done, we chatted about life and love and I found myself opening up to her so easily. She truly has a gift for making people feel at ease, which comes in handy when you are about to take pictures in your panties.
The photo shoot was beyond fun and empowering. I actually felt amazing walking around in a bra, panties, and tons of jewelry. She made me feel confident, comfortable, and I think I laughed most of the shoot.
When we went through the images to choose for my photo book, Cheyenne had called a bakery near my apartment in Atlanta and ordered a chocolate cake for me to delicately enjoy (aka devour). With her help we chose great images for a photo book to give to my boyfriend as a gift.
My boyfriend absolutely loved the photo book. He took it with him while we were long distance for several months — and he even showed his mom the pictures because he loved them so much!
I would highly recommend Cheyenne to anyone who wants to feel beautiful, sexy, empowered, and confident. I can’t wait to book another session with her!

once i saw the proofs from my sisters shoot with cheyenne… i KNEW I had to have a session with Cheyenne. So, i did… I actually drove out all the way from Long Island NY! I had an incredible etherial maternity shoot. Cheyenne gave great direction, took her time, and gave my husband and I so many beautiful options to choose from. Even being the tough guy he is, my husband didnt feel awkward in front of the camera — Cheynne made it as painless as possible for him ;)

I have been a huge fan of Cheyennes for a few years, so when she announced a visit to Chicago for a boudoir session in a gorgeous loft that I’ve seen in magazines I jumped at the chance.
Cheyenne is a calm force while you’re baring your curves and your soul. She is so super sweet and so incredibly talented. The photos are some of my favorite photos that I own of myself. The portraits will always remind me of a time I was young and wild and free and happy. I felt more confident after our session and I also made a friend. I wish she was closer! Thank you again Cheyenne!

Amazing. That’s the first word that comes to mind in order to describe Cheyenne as a person and as a photographer. Several months ago, I started to think about having boudoir pictures done, not for my husband but for myself, although if you want to do them for your significant other, I say get it, girl. I did some research on the internet with the help of a few friends, and I kept coming back to Cheyenne’s website. I sent over the initial contact request and her response was quick and enthusiastic. From our first phone call I could tell that she’s passionate about what she does.
We weren’t able to meet for a pre-​shoot consultation because of my schedule and the holidays, but we emailed quite a bit with photos she was able to give me advice on outfits, looks, and even links to Pinterest boards for inspiration. The day of the shoot was so, so easy. Her studio is a great mix of charming and sexy, and once she gets you in front of the camera, you forget any awkwardness you might have had. Cheyenne had me laughing the whole time. I had so much fun and felt totally comfortable.
But let’s get to the point — the pictures. At the risk of repeating myself, they’re amazing. I look like a model. Like I belong in Harper’s Bazaar or a Calvin Klein ad. I can’t believe it, and I keep staring at myself. Cheyenne brought out a side of me I didn’t even know was there, and I love it, and I love her for it. I think everyone should do boudoir pictures immediately. Thanks, Cheyenne!
