Damn i don’t want to like this. Its so bad for you! I tried this artery clogging cheese attack during Gay pride in the gayborhood. Its the period PMS binge for its crunchy, chewy and salty taste. I wouldn’t make this a habit as this will pack on the pounds. Each serving is totally sharing size and filling.

Amazing! I’m a mozzarella stick lover… but these cheese curds beat any mozzarella stick I’ve ever had by a landslide!(they also beat out all of the many cheese curds that I sampled on a trip to Wisconsin a few months back). I first stumbled upon them at a local event, and became so obsessed that I followed them on facebook and stalk them semi-regularly. I have even gone as far as to go to random events JUST to find this truck(but hey — the events ended up being pretty cool too! Added bonus of food trucks are that they are a great way to find out about local events). I first started off pairing my curds with the chipotle ranch, but upon getting seconds later in the day, they were out of the ranch so I opted for the sriracha mayo. The sriracha mayo is actually even better! A lot spicier — but the kick really compliments the cheese. If you see this truck around, definitely stop by and try some!

I love melted cheese and fried food, so combining them makes me really happy. I tried the curds with Chipotle Ranch and it was amazing. There was a little line to wait, but it was well worth it. The one order of the curds seems small, but while eating I could tell I was filling up quick. The one order was too much for me to handle, so I shared it with a friend. Just thinking about it makes me want more.

Came across the truck at the Rock Festival today. Was so very curious at what a fried CURD would do for me… And I’m very glad that I went on ahead and cured it. I hate to compare it to a mozzarella stick, but it was like its much classier version with much better quality cheese and perfectly fried. I actually believe that the sauces(that cost an extra .50 cent each – at least ONE could have come with the $ 9 price for the curds) were not all that complimentary. I didn’t try the chipotle ranch, but the ketchup and sriracha may were just aight. My husband and 3 year old daughter were really impressed. :-)

I almost hate myself for giving what may be very expensive, fancy«mozzarella sticks» 5 stars, but guys, these live up to the hype. They were so, so good. I’m a cheese lover(born in Wisconsin, actually), and the [mild white cheddar] cheese here is quality. Has a rich, clean taste. The breading is perfect – not too greasy and in good ratio to cheese. I mean. It’s perfection, really. Gluttonous, American perfection. I washed them down with a beer at the Made In America festival this past weekend, where I luckily caught them without a line! I’d say they’re worth getting at least once. They are pricey, so I’ll probably only get them when I REALLY yearn for them(and why was I charged a $ 1 for the sauce? -.-) PS: Sauce is tasty, but I actually enjoy these plain… something I wouldn’t do for the average mozzarella stick.

THESESOMENEXTLEVELCHEESEJAWNS!!! Cow and the Curd crafts delightful pillows of fried love capable of making the even Mr. Scrooge and The Grinch smile. Seriously. So good! 10⁄10. I actually went and got seconds it was so good. So what is Curd? Its NOT fried cheese! Curd is essentially curdled milk, created using a typically acidic base. Then they bread it and fry it. Sound gross? Don’t worry its not. The curd is breaded in a delicious breading and fried till golden brown and gooey inside. Taste wise, its most similar to a mild cheddar. The service at the truck is fantastic, and the wait is basically nonexistant. This is also definately the cleanest food truck I’ve ever seen. The icing on the cake are the sauces they offer. They have a chipotle ketchup, a sirracha mayo, and a third one I cannot recall right now. Though they charge $ 0.50 for the sauces, they’re worth it. Particularly the Srirracha Mayo. My only complaint about the Cow and the Curd is that they charge $ 0.50 for the sauces, given that the Fried Curd itself costs nearly 10 $.

I finally got a chance to try The Cow and The Curd at the Tall Ships Festival in Camden. The bf and I had already gotten a pulled pork sandwich from elsewhere but he decided to indulge me and we got an order of cheese curds. I guess I don’t really know the value of curds from Wisconsin, but I thought $ 12 was a bit steep. We also opted for the $ 1 chipotle ranch sauce. The fried cheese was good and gooey and salty. But it was even better with the chipotle sauce. But the price will probably deter me from getting it more often. It may be delicious but I doubt it will keep me from falling asleep at work!

Finally i was able to try the cheese curds at the tall ships festival. Wow these little battered balls of cheese really are amazing! A little pricey at $ 12 but i get it. I tried the sriracha mayo and honestly should have skipped it. My only complaint is that I like my food HOT! By the time i arrived it looks like the crowds were on their way out and there may have been sometime between them coming out of the fryer and me recieving my order. Please share — one order is too much even for two people. I got a slight stomach ache from over indulging but it was worth it :).

I love cheese and I love it even more when it’s fried. Cow and the Curd hits the spot every. single. time. I once took this truck for granted, because it was following me around last summer. Everywhere I went, there it was. When we first started our foodlationship I would split my order with others. As time has progressed I now need an order all to myself. They are similar to mozzarella sticks, but the cheddar is juicier and delicious-er. I like my $ 9 cheese curds plain. If you like to get a little crazy they have dipping sauces for an extra $ 2. It’s not just fried cheese it’s fried happiness.

Yes. It’s expensive, and I waited about 10 minutes between ordering and getting my food(there weren’t THAT many people…), but worth it. They have some dipping sauces, but I prefer it just plain

The cheese curds are amazingly good! I visited them for the past 2 years at taste of three cities food truck rally. The cheese has flavor and is fried to perfection every time. The cheese never comes out before you bite it, and it is alway nicely melted and hot. They had a line each time I went, but it was worth the wait! Sorry mozzarella sticks — I found a new love.

Each time I see this truck at a festival lately, I seem to gravitate toward it. Those curds are much more delicious in reality than what you might expect from the word ‘curd.’ I could never eat a whole helping by myself — mostly because I never eat much — but it’s worked out that whomever I’ve been with has always wanted to split the order. That helps with the $ 9 price-tag, which is, yes, a bit exorbitant for the offering. Still. You can’t deny how great these curds are! I’m definitely a way bigger fan of the cheddar option, and wish there was a way to request just cheddar instead of having some of the mozzarella stashed in there too.* And the accompanying ranch sauce? Fantastic. Yes, sometimes they have a massive line. Generally I just either come back when they don’t or just simply deal with the line? I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Popular food trucks have lines at festivals sometimes. Fact of life. *EDIT5÷20÷15: The Cow and the Curd reached out to clarify that they don’t ever serve mozzarella. They’re actually white cheddar!

Unfortunately, I think there is too much hype around Cow & Curd. $ 9 for a small handful of fried cheese balls. Extra half dollar for dipping sauce. Basically, an appetizer at a restaurant, the line at major events is always extreme. Maybe I missed the hype, or got a sub-par batch of cheese…

The first time that I discovered this truck at a food festival, I must have hit it at the perfect time, because I didn’t wait more than two minutes for my little tray of cheese balls. Yes, the fried cheese curd is heavenly and a few dip options help break up the fried and cheese flavors of the balls. If you need fried cheese, this unique truck will probably be the only one at the festival with anything like it. However, this is a one– or two-time purchase and here’s why: 1. the lines have gotten out of control. Twenty minutes is common for this truck and it is no longer worth the wait when there are other food trucks to approach. 2. the prices are out of this world – and not in a good way. If you want just the balls, it’s about $ 8. Add a dip and you’re at $ 9. This is crazy, considering you only get 6 balls. Worth a trip if you have a friend that is willing to wait in line while you scout for other goodies and then split the purchase once it comes out of the fryer. Try it once and decide for yourself.

These glorious melty nuggets from heaven are possibly the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Yes. There. I said it. I’m not going to get into the price, preparation, or where these scrumptious little dudes hail from — because does it really matter? They could be imported from the underworld, made by Hades, tripled in price and I would still order them time and time again while I fill out an application to be on «Intervention»(Spoiler alert: I will not be accepting your«gift of help»). Yes, the line is long(and worth the wait, duh), but it’s a line of geniuses who know they are going to feel like my homeboy Charlie Bucket finding that golden ticket when the Willie Wonka of cheese hands you your order of curds. Trust.

Yum these cheese curds are the bomb diggity. The pace of fryer cannot compete with the long lines and thus customers are left frustrated. They offer a variety of dips priced 50 cents each. I wasn’t wowed by the flavor and the amount in the container was measly. At nine dollars a pop the food truck gouges people’s pockets. I’m content with my purchase, I have no need to try the cow and the curd again.

Had the great pleasure of trying out these delicious little fried monsters as the truck was at the Morristown Big Beer Brew Fest. Now I have never eaten or even heard about cheese curds(shame on me) so I can’t voucher for whether they are«authentic» curds from Wisconsin. What I can assure you is that they are delicious! Though there is a hefty fee for these little pieces of cheesy heaven, it’s a sacrifice that many were willing to make as the line kept growing. To echo other reviews, they are like mozzarella sticks only 1000% better and less salty. My order didn’t take very long and I’m almost certain they don’t have them just laying around as my curds were hot, not too oily and just the right amount of fried batter. Crunchy on the outside yet stringy and plump cheese on the inside. Eaten by itself or dipped into their sriracha mayo… pop them in your mouth or bite into them so you can see the stringy cheese, either way, they do not disappoint!

Squeaky goodness! I’m a sucker for cheese. Fried in beer batter? Even better! My older bro Jose C. brought me curd orders of white cheddar and a sharper cheddar cheese last year from a Beer Fest. I was so impressed with the taste, texture, gooeyness, and batter that I instantly became a stalker. The next time I saw them was at NJ Foodtruck Festival this past summer. Though the event was very disorganized, The Cow and The Curd delivered with flying colors. Anytime I’m in Philly, I look it up. With or without chipotle sauce, they’re a joy to eat! Also– great reheated in a toaster oven! Eating fried curds is a novel experience everyone deserves.

I have sought out this exquisite treat of a food truck at several events. I do not know if and or where they are regularly situated, or if in fact they have any other locations-all I know is that this fried cheese is fiiiiiine. They have one thing on the menu and that is fried cheese curds. Large or small. Though it might sound like a good idea at the time, even the small portion is enough to share with one friend. Yes just one. Any more than one, you will have to get the large. Unless you’re a «purist» when it comes to your cheese curd eatin’ you’re going to want to get some o’ those dipping sauces. This is just a touch of extra genius because obviously, the cheese is the main attraction. The creamy chipotle ranch one is where it’s at. Though to be honest I probably have only tried that one because it always sounds that good. Sweet cheese truck, please come back to my neighborhood soon?

Fried. Cheese. But not just any cheese — these curds are pressed in Wisconsin and sent straight to the folks at The Cow and The Curd, where they are prepped and served within days of arrival. Bite into one of these little nuggets and expect some of the ooziest cheese around. Definitely try them with the chipotle dipping sauce, which only makes them tastier. I highly recommend splitting an order with a friend or two — much as you’ll want that little bucket all to yourself, it’s probably in your best interest to share.
