The Oasis 6800 Essington Ave, Philadelphia, PA19153 (215) 937‑0200 Hours: 11:30am to 2:00am Monday to Saturday, 1:00pm to 2:00am on Sunday The Low Down The Oasis features many of the amenities that you’ll find in the top Philadelphia-area gentlemen’s clubs: couch dance rooms, Champagne Court, a wide variety of food options, attractive women and special events such as fight nights and adult entertainers. Location & Facilities — 3 Stars The Oasis is located on Essington Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, only minutes away from the Philadelphia International Airport, the Airport Auto Mall… and very little else. While certainly not the most convenient location, there is something to be said for privacy if you’re a gentlemen’s club aficionado such as myself. There is plenty of parking during the week but you may want to arrive early or arrange transportation if you arrive later on the weekends. Smaller than most of the high-end gentlemen’s clubs in and around Philadelphia, my only complaint about the establishment itself was the men’s room, with a few missing doors on the stalls and an appearance that could use some updating. The dancers at The Oasis walk around the bar to collect dollar bills(which you’re expected to provide as a courtesy for sitting at the bar), so make sure to have some cash on hand to avoid ATM fees. Staff — 3 Stars I arrived at The Oasis at around 7:30pm on a slow Wednesday night; earlier than I usually start my reviews but travel plans dictated getting to bed early. I was greeted at the door by Eric, an extremely friendly and outgoing gentleman who, after paying my $ 5.00 cover and passing through the metal detector, gave me a free admission pass for a future visit. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the bartenders, who were professional but certainly not the friendliest I’ve ever been served by. Food & Drink — 3 Stars Like many of the higher-end gentlemen’s clubs in the Philadelphia area, The Oasis offers a full menu with appetizers, burgers, tacos and various entrees as well as prime rib which is served as both steaks of various sizes and in sandwiches. The fully stocked bar features your standard selection of beer, both domestics and a couple of imports. The liquor selection was impressive for such a small venue. Dancers — 3 Stars I wish I could give a higher rating for the hard-working dancers at The Oasis, but I was rather disappointed by my experience during my review. Part of the reason for my disappointment was that, despite my early arrival time, there were way too many dancers for the half a dozen or so customers that were being served. I don’t believe I was left alone for more than two minutes as dancer after dancer came up and sat down next to me, which is usually a very good thing in a gentlemen’s club but not so much when you’re waiting for your food to arrive and don’t want to let it sit at the bar while you’re at a protracted couch dance session. The dancers weren’t shy about their disappointment, with one coming up to her dancer friend and I and mentioning that she wanted to go home and another pointing out her $ 40.00 stage fee. My first dance was with the incredibly sexy and outgoing Pebbles, a multi-ethnic dancer who can work magic on a couch. I went back again a little while later with Gia, a petite cutie with some very attractive tattoos. Possibly my most enjoyable time of the evening was spent with Mya, an adorable Italian dancer whose aggressive personality made for an incredible couch dance experience… the two awesome dances I received went by far too quickly! Value — 5 Stars The most positive aspect of my experience at The Oasis was the value I received for the dollar. The couch dance room features comfortable seating with chest-high partitions and $ 20 per four minute dance. The Champagne Court, featuring small rooms with couches and tables with bamboo curtains and a private restroom(no need to interrupt your dance and walk halfway across the club!), is $ 100.00 for 15 minutes with two drinks included or $ 190.00 for 30 minutes with four drinks or a bottle of house champagne included. These Champage Court prices are some of the lowest I’ve encountered while visiting Philadelphia area gentlemen’s clubs so far. Website & Social Media — 4 Stars The Oasis features a modern website with a one-page format that can easily be scrolled to view club information, such as drink specials, happy hour specials, pictures of the former adult entertainers who have made appearances at the club, their menu and contact information. No social media information is posted, but I was able to find the club on Facebook.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I have to say, my hubby and I ventured out yet again to check some place different then the norm, and found Oasis. We had a blast! Now mind you it was a Saturday night, and it wasn’t that crowded, but probably because it was a little out of the way from the city clubs, but this little gem was perfect! I was a little concerned when we walked in and it was just a big bar with a stage in the middle, but it was not smokey like other clubs, and very clean. The girls were very attractive AND friendly to boot! Sure you can spend a small fortune with giving out dollars when they come off stage, but after seeing how you can spend about $ 600-$ 900 at places like Delilah’s, this was less expensive… I’m talking about $ 350 for ½ hour per couple, and you get a drink. Now we don’t do this often, but we prepare for it monetary wise, and the girl who we took back was amazing! Lap dances are the usual $ 20, and I had a couple incredible ones from the girls. As the night went on, the girls were paying lots of attention to me and the hubs, which is kind of unusual, as we’ve sat at a few of these bars at other places and they pass you by if you’re a couple. I have to say, this was extremely couple friendly! But you have to let the girls know you’re interested… if you sit back and act shy(I’m talking wife/SO), they will pass by. And even the staff and bouncers were nice! One came over and asked us if we were enjoying ourselves, etc. This is definitely going to be a spot to return to!

bullshit. because i went with a group of girls doesnt mean that i dont want to be served like any other person in this place. the bartenders really need to change their attitude. the girls arent really that great either. i would say only one stripper went to us and talked to us. BUT… she said she loves asian people cause we look like hello kitty??? should i take that offensively?

Basics: $ 5 cover on the Wednesday night that I went. Apparently $ 5 on Sunday nights when the place is pretty empty as well. Standard $ 20 couch dance. $ 7 for a Jack and Coke. $ 6 for a Yuengling. Large, square bar with two stages in the middle takes up most of the main room. There are a few tables and chairs off to two sides but these were for the most part unoccupied. Plenty of large screen TVs should you need a distraction from the boobies. There was a nice variety of ladies, white, a few black and hispanic. Honestly, not an ugo in the lot that night. The couch room is pretty decent. Nice big couches, Dim, but not so dark that you can’t see what you want to see. Just about right I would say. Couches are spread out enough, large enough, and have tall dividers which make it feel a little more private. Got a dance from a cute girl calling herself«Goldie». She reminded me a little bit of a young Jodie Foster. Worked it slow and sexy. Definitely check her out if you catch her.

FUBLE Diaries: Episode 5 Seems I’d forgotten how uncomfortable strip clubs make me. After a surprisingly fun evening at Ruby Tuesday, the Alaskans wanted to wind down with some of Philly’s hottest strippers. Since I didn’t know exactly where they were, we ended up at Oasis. Being borderline autistic, I often cant make eye contact with still Internet shots of nude women, and my experience in strip clubs is thankfully limited. Its been a good 10 years since my last foray into glitter and neon, but powered by the mojo of the Fuble, I figured why not. After passing airport-like security, we found ourselves in a large bar complete with dual stripper poles. Most of the excitement and bravado wore off once i was within perfume distance of the performers. We all took a seat at the bar. Keep in mind, this was Halloween night and we were met with scantily clad pirates and nurses offering $ 5 bottles of beer. Also worth noting, was that Game 3 of the World Series had just ended poorly for the Phillies and the dancers had to work overtime to cheer up the crestfallen crowd. I guess my biggest problem with these places, is that Id like to hang back and just give my money to the dancers I specifically like. Doesn’t happen here(or any other club Ive been to). They actually come down from the poles and stand in front of you looking for money, whether you like them or not, and I’m too timid to wave them off like my Alaskan buddies were doing. Mike was actually saying he forgot some of their moves and that he wanted them to remind him before he gave any money… and they complied! Aside from the begging they would aggressively try and get you to go back in the«special rooms», in order to drain your bank account. I knew I wasn’t going back there under any circumstance and as I turned to see if Mike and Dean wanted to leave, they were gone, being led to the back by a large chested cat and nurse. They waved for me to follow but I gave back a hand gesture that I hope conveyed the sentiment of, «Hey! Go have fun! …but dont be long.» So now I was stag at the bar. I looked at my wallet and saw a handful of ones(they weren’t getting anything higher) and I hoped they would outlast the guys champagne room visit. No such luck. I placed folded ones into a succession of pressed breasts until I was out. Now what?! Not to mention the calculated attack from the strippers on me, who had strayed from the pack. I had to explain that I was just their driver, and had no intention of getting a lap dance. Dean had left his wallet with a mound of ones in it. I figured he didn’t need them anymore and continued the outreach. Does it really take this long? I saw guys go in and come out long after the Alaskans went in. Eventually Deans titty donation ran out as well and i had to go. I didn’t want to leave Deans wallet behind so I grabbed it, shot each of them a text that i had it and would be waiting in the car, and left. The brisk fall night was welcome to the stuffy club. I waited in my car and started to worry. Finally, Mike and Dean emerged… with about 4 angry bouncers behind them! Seems they never got the message that I had his wallet and Dean was accusing everyone, from the pirate to the french maid of stealing it. We cleared the situation up and apologized and got the hell out. On the way back home(we were done for the night and had a day of tailgating and football ahead of us) I learned the other reason they were angry. They both got taken for $ 500 a piece in the back. I guess they take your Credit card, make you sign papers and just run the card up. Sounds like bullshit to me, and I’m glad I stayed out. The boys soon got over it(hey! were on vacation!) and we drove off into the night. For the rest of the weekend, however, anytime they got out of line, all I had to say was«$ 500» and they were put in their place. That’s $ 250 a breast.
