BUYERBEWARE!!! Prices are extremely marked up in this little store. They had butter listed as $ 2.39, but when I got to the register the lady behind says, «$ 8.00, sorry that’s my price» … For Cabot butter, really? This place is a rip off and does not advertise their prices correctly. It’s is purely only good for one thing and that is convenience… Much more worth your time and money to walk the extra few feet to super fresh.

Really good vegetarian sandwiches/wraps. Ingredients are fresh and the staff is really friendly. However, I must say that the sandwiches are not consistent. Sometimes the wraps are not packed tightly and easily fall apart when eating.

Quick wait for deli sandwiches, a bunch of nice snacks and treats. They’ve go tables inside and outside if you wanna hang out and eat too. But they’re not open on Sundays?! Downfall!

If you are looking for a deli do yourself a favor and walk a couple blocks down to The Palm. I work in northern liberties so I’m always grabbing lunch around the area and I suggest skipping this place. I grabbed a sandwich here two times.(my rule for giving bad Unilocal reviews is 2 bad experiences) The first time a grabbed a BLT so it’s hard to mess it up but, it was sub par ingredients not to fresh. Second time tried the chicken salad. I could tell it wasn’t that fresh, the celery was barely crunching and it basically cost $ 7. I grabbed a jar of my favorite chocolate peanut butter and it cost 3 $ more than The Palm so I put it back. Overall The Palm is 2 blocks down on the same side– more fresh and cheaper. I should have known when no one was in there…

The sandwiches are fast cheap and delicious. Their kimchi is my favorite in the city. The staff is always very friendly too. My one minor complaint is some of the gourmet snacks and beverages are a little pricy.

Reuben was decent. No more, no less. We sat at a table outside.

I can only speak about the deli, which is tucked into a corner of the store. Ordering is done through a touch screen computer system which will be familiar to patrons of Wawa. It’s pretty convenient and intuitive and, most important, limits the amount of yucky human interaction that you have to endure in the process of delivering food to your face. Unfortunately, after you order, you still have to go to another service counter(conveniently located on the other side of the store) to pay a human being, but you can just hand them your order printout and just play on your smartphone. «Yes, but what about the food?» you ask, exasperatedly. I got a Reuben sandwich. All the components were present — pastrami, rye bread, Russian dressing, sauerkraut — but I guess a great sandwich is more than the sum of its parts, because this one was just ok: Much better than the crap at Subway, but not even close to the sandwiches at a place like Koch’s in West Philly. So there ya have it: my two cents.

Northern Liberties, PA Their items stocked here are well diverse and fun to browse in this convenient store by the Piazza. I think the gourmet deli place is pretty awesome as well(closes at 9pm I was told); seems like they are also starting out a korean dish here… nice. Some earlier reviews said they have quality coffee and organic stuff; I saw coffee but they don’t have Decaff. :-/I’m gonna have to check for organic stuff since Im still to new here– first visit. Some things are expensive a bit but you gotta remember they gotta cover their lease too in this type of area. There are a range of snacks & non alky drinks and all sorts of things you may need… even condoms, hanging way high behind the cashier! So that you don’t forget! Haha. I even found my favorite noodles here almost double the price!(But I still have not found where else my noodles can be purchased.) I wonder why the owner named this store The Pink Dolphin. I now have a menu all about Boars lunch meat to read when I asked if they had a menu! Lol. I think it is a sign for me to study lunch meat and how to choose based on quality.

This place has really gone downhill in the past few months. Just ordered a Turkey, cheese & lettuce wrap and once I got back to my apartment in the Piazza — I realized they forgot the cheese. I go back downstairs and kindly let them know about the mistake. No big deal right? They insist that I must pay an additional .50 cents, because it wasn’t on my wrap already and since I didn’t have my receipt, they wouldn’t believe me that I had already paid for it. Look, .50 cents isn’t a big deal, but I come in there all the time, and it’s not like they don’t recognize me. After I agree to pay the .50 cents, they then try to reopen the wrap and insert the cheese after the fact, completely destroying the sandwich. I complain again, and the guy says if I want a new wrap, I’m going to have to pay for another one. Needless to say, I won’t ever be coming back.

Nothing really going on here. Convenient to get stuff when you’re snowed in. Then again, the Super Fresh is just 2 blocks down. The staff is really friendly. I didn’t really see about the deli. I only got a half-pound of turkey for like 6 – 7 bucks. So I can’t really complain about the 5 dollar minimum for credit cards.

Yes pricey but convenient and it’s a small family owned store not a huge selection but past, friendly, clean, cute, and convenient.

I work in No Libs and visit The Pink Dolphin often. They have a great variety of products(snacks, deli, supplies, drinks…) and the workers are always very nice. There is a $ 5 minimum on credit cards which can be annoying when you’re without cash, but they do have an ATM(with a $ 2 surcharge).

This is what you get when you have an owner who thinks they can charge the residents and businesses over inflated prices and super small sandwiches for more than you would pay anywhere else for what they give you because of the store location. Every sandwich is so light, you might find two pieces of meat and 1 piece of cheese. They defend that everyone else makes sandwiches this small??? NOWAY, not in Philadelphia! Between the rotten produce, expired dairy products, tiny finger sandwiches and INFLATEDPRICES, I do not recommend you go there. Notice the BIGSMILE at you when you pay, its because they are taking advantage of you!!!

This is essentially a convenience store of slightly healthier and more exotic contents. Not cheap, not crazy expensive. Decent made to order sandwiches. My own pet peeve but they microwave their eggs to make the egg sandwiches. Surprisingly tasty nevertheless.

A bit pricey, but understandable considering this is a convenience store. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast sandwiches are always awesome– made fresh to order. I love boar’s head lunch meat and pink dolphin actually sells it at a much lower price than most supermarkets. When i describe pink dolphin to others, i say it is whole foods meets wawa. The best part is they are dog friendly.

If you live in the Piazza, this should be your staple. It has just about anything you need in a pinch. Their sandwiches are fantastic and made to order. The staff is always very nice. I like to pop in and grab a cold drink if it’s hot or grab a sandwich when I’m just too damn lazy to cook for myself. Deli is open until 8:30 but the store stays open until 11. They have a nice assortment of eco-friendly choices and standard junk food. They might have some competition with the new Super Fresh down the street, but you still can’t beat the convenience. I’m a big fan, and I plan on being in this place at least once a week until I move out of the Piazza.

I stopped here last night because I had gotten dinner nearby and didn’t have room for dessert, but knew I was going to want some chocolate when I got home. All I was looking for was a bar of dark chocolate, and this looked like a little convenience store from the outside, so I thought for sure they’d have what I was craving. I did not expect what was waiting for me. Organic chocolate covered cherries? Dark chocolate bars infused with orange? What? This obviously isn’t your run-of-the-mill corner store. Sure, they have Twix and cigarettes and some stuff that isn’t so great for you, but they also have Pocky and a deli and hummus and lots of things you didn’t go in to buy but leave with anyway. This place has ruined my local CVS/Wawa for me.

I appreciate the Pink Dolphin quite a bit. On account of my vices, I find myself stopping in here for cigarettes and Red Bull on almost every visit to the Piazza. As a regular corner store, well it fails miserably considering it’s not in anything remotely considered a corner. OK, well considering their wares and Asian ownership, this is very much like any corner store that I’ve grown up with all my life in North and South Philly. With one remarkable difference: it’s NoLibs-ified, meaning that everything is of higher quality, selection and most noticeably: price. Yan Yan, Huy Fong products(sriracha sauce), Haribo candies — those are all import foods I’d expect to find here. They’ve got a deli serving up made-to-order sandwiches as well. The former I’ve never experienced, the latter I’ve definitely enjoyed to escape the glass-magnified concrete heat of my beloved Piazza at Schmidts. They don’t seem to mind loiterers.

It’s a cute little convenience store with high prices. Still, I like it because of the«exotic» treats you can find here, including Japanese and European candy. I stopped by the other night and was tempted to buy my favorite German candy bar, Ritter Sport Milk Chocolate with Whole Hazelnuts. Alas, it was $ 2.99 at Pink Dolphin.(I can get it for $ 1.99 at Trader Joe’s.) Things like Pocky, Koala March, and Yan-Yan(yummy Japanese treats) are also more expensive than they should be. Oh well. The staff is always pretty friendly and like I said, it’s cute.

If you’re on your way to a Ritz movie and you need a snack… I’m overwhelmed on a daily basis. It’s true. Rarely, though, am I overwhelmed by my selection of cookie/candy/sweets. They have so many tasty-looking treats to try that I’ve vowed to try them all at least once. And right around 2011, I believe that I will have succeeded. I honestly can’t leave The Pink Dolphin without at least three different items to chow down on. It’s not just the sweet-stuff… They have all kinds of sandwiches, etc. Although things can be slightly overpriced, this is the only place I can think of that has my Reed’s Ginger Chews, delicious paninis and a big screen showing Premier League game all in one. Super-duper-ultra-bonus: That sweet little clerk who works this shop is friendlier than a gold-digger is to a 90yr old billionaire.
