They have great clothes but they are somewhat expensive for basically Jones NY(women’s) and banana republic/H Boss(men’s). Would’ve given it 1 more star if they had the equivalent of a 14⁄16 in women’s clothes. I am long so can’t wear most of their female clothing

I love Theory clothes and I now love the sales associates at the Walnut Street location. They are everything you’d hope to find in someone working at a store like Theory, in the best way possible. They’re always on point with their outfits(which def makes me feel better when I’m getting advice from them), will go out of their way to help you with finding sizes and suggesting outfits, and generally just make you feel like you’re the greatest person to ever step foot in the store. And it’s been like this every time I’ve been here! Yes, the clothing is pricey, but it is well constructed and lasts. With the help of one of the salespeople, I bought a beautiful pair of silk jacquard cropped pants last year that were totally out of my fashion comfort zone, and I now wear them all the time! Their pieces are modern(without being so trendy that they’ll go out of style in a season), but still manage to maintain a clean, elegant look. I’m a Theory devotee now for sure.

I’ll be honest: this place is very expensive and I’ll probably only stop by, oh, once ever 5 years. But I had a great first experience today in the store. I wasn’t really planning on buying anything, just shopping around but I came across a wonderful polo that was on sale(yay). Mark, one of the sales associates, was extremely helpful and attentive without being pushy and even though my sub-$ 40 purchase probably only would have netted him a whoppin’ $ 2 commission, I was still treated with the same amount of respect as someone making a $ 500+ purchase. Wish I could say I’d be back more often, but if I win the lottery and need new clothes, theory will be near the top of my list.

Beautiful, clean-lined, well-made clothes with an American style. Ask for Cody he’s got great taste and can help you pick it the right pieces to suit your style and body type. Women’s sizes up to 12. Prices on the higher end, you can easily pay $ 300+ for a sweater, but you’ll have a classic piece that will last. Theory’s cut and sizes are best suited to tall, thin folks, less-so for my curvaceous frame. Glad to have this upscale brand added to Walnut Street shopping.
