Apparently new owners. Cheesesteaks still the best in Port Richmond. Very friendly owners. They did a nice job remodeling. If you order 2 or more sandwiches to my surprise you get a free order of fries. Their prices are very reasonable. They now deliver & accept credit cards which they never did before. Well worth coming into Port Richmond & dealing with the parking issues. It is on Belgrade on the corner of an extremely tiny street that could almost pass as an alley way instead of a street

Yum! What a cheesesteak! Good low key family joint. Came in and they were friendly and made the food fresh. Dig it.

It is nowhere near as good with the new owners. Wish they would have keep it the same. Very disappointed. The new owners are nice but the food does not meet expectations.

The«new» Tony’s is excellent, I’ve honestly had most of the menu when I heard they were trying to incorporate more«restaurant» dishes. The best way to describe it is a «pizza joint» that carries restaurant quality pasta entrée dishes(I believe they have an Italian restaurant in the burbs actually). They do the standard pizza joint stuff really great: hoagies, wings, pizza, steaks, etc. But their pasta entrees are FANTASTIC for a «pizza joint», which is impossible to find around here, trust me I’ve tried them all. And that’s why I’m reviewing, for those looking to get good sandwich shop stuff, but who also want the option to get a higher end restaurant style pasta entrée. Penne Vodka, Veal Marsala, Chicken Spinach, all top notch. Just so you know I’m not on the take haha, their wraps aren’t that great, and their fries are eh. Also, the salads are good, but nothing special. So If you need quality pasta entrees on top of your hoagies and steaks and pizzas, this is the place!

Just had the«new» Tony’s…and the pizza is definitely not the same. It was ok. I loved Tony’s! It was the best pizza around. So disappointing to anyone who loved the old Tony’s.

Disclaimer: I am not a cheesesteak person. I don’t care what you think of me, but my overall assessment of them is that they are generally gross meat with gross cheese on gross bread. End of story. As someone who hosts several visitors from near and far, I often find myself in the unfortunate situation of having to get a cheesesteak to complete my beloved friends’ and family’s Philly experience. Sigh. To get around this, I usually choose a place with other wonderful options that I can partake in like John’s Roast Pork or Tony Luke’s(yeah roast pork yeah!). On a recent out of towner visit, I found myself in a situation. We were in North Philly. All the usual suspects I frequent are in South Philly. Enter Tony’s Pizzeria to save the day. Their pizza(I had the cheese and sausage) is a solid cheesesteak alternative. But caution! It comes out hot as hell. I literally had to remove a layer of skin from the roof of my mouth after my impatience and ravenous hunger caused me to put a slice in my mouth within 2.5 seconds of them setting it in front of me. The cheesesteak(yes, I did have a bite, but for research purposes only)? It seemed decent. Although my out-of-towner friend was disappointed that«wit whiz» was not an option.

I am writing the obituary for Tony’s Pizza. As almost everyone in Port Richmond knows by now Tony’s is for sale. That is sad news for many. This was THE pizza place for us kids growing up in the neighborhood. This was the spot after Nativity CYO dances, the spot for all the kids who hung out behind PAL. Such fond memories. Excellent pizza, neighborhood favorite cheesesteak. My mother still comes here on a weekly basis and they still ask about how I am doing. These were business owners who, even if they didn’t live in the neighborhood were still neighbors. They cared, they remembered you. They made you delicious pizza. They will sorely be missed.

I love the food at Tonys. While many places in Philly have great cheesesteaks, Tonys is my one of my absolute favorites, the cheesesteaks this family-owned business offer up are also fantastic. this place is easy to get to, but also very busy. The ideal time to go to any cheesesteak place in Philly is during the off-peak hours because sometimes you can wait up to forty-five minutes for your meal. However, more often than not, it’s worth it if you’re craving one of these popular Philly foods. I plan on visiting Tonys for a long time to come

Good for neighborhood pizza. We have been eating this pizza since I was a kid and it is always exactly the same and pretty delicious. I prefer the plain red sauce/cheese pizza and their fries are especially good. This place has been open since my parents were kids, can’t mess with a classic. This is located in Port Richmond, not Kensington!

Ok first of all this is in PORTRICHMOND, not Kensington. They have like three tables, don’t deliver and we always take out. Pizza is decent as well as the hoagies but the highlight is the chesesteak. Definitely the best in the neighborhood(I live around the corner) so I should know. Always consistent and as Bil M. stated«always the same as your last visit 5 days ago or 5 yrs». My go to steak joint round the way.

For as long as I can remember, Tony’s has been on the corner of Belgrade & Clemetine serving up the best pizza & cheesesteaks in Port Richmond. They are a family owned & operated business whose quality has never faltered over the years. They don’t keep super late hours, and they don’t deliver, simply because they don’t have to. This place has enough of a following that will drive or walk for their food. I suggest ordering the cheesesteak pizza… a perfect marriage of Tony’s two specialties.
