I went to Tredici as a surprise for my bachelorette party and was blown away! They arranged a large table, set menu and wine pairing for us. The food was unbelievable, very different and full of flavor! There was NOTHING basic about anything they put on the table. Even the bread with grilled with olive oil! The atmosphere makes you feel like your in an old Italian restaurant that just got a fresh, modern makeover. There is a huge bar, perfect to stop in for a glass of wine. The staff was so kind and accommodating, fueling our party with more bread(upon request) and water all night. They did not rush us at all and encouraged us to hang out as long as we liked. I will definitely be returning!

Cool trendy Italian restaurant in Midtown. They prices were very reasonable. I had small plates of the chicken meatballs and the saffron arancini. Both were excellent dishes. Staff was friendly and prompt.

One of the coolest and cutest decorated restaurants in the area. There is an open but homey French/Italian feel but with tall ceilings, booths, wood floors and built in bookshelves and art work. Perfect for a small dinners or get togethers. The menu is tapas style, with smaller plates that can be shared. This is another fancified Italian restaurant that reminds me of Little Nonna’s or Vernick. The meatball appetizer and mushroom toast were fantastic, especially the toast. I got the branzino and was a bit disappointed because it didn’t have much flavor and was dry. However, the gnocchi was unbelievable. I am NOT a gnocchi person at all, because it reminds me of soggy balled up raw dough, but here it was amazing, with amazing fluffiness and flavor. It’s a perfect dish to split for the table, as it might be quite rich for one person. My favorite dishes were the amazingly moist and rich chocolate cake, and the most fantastic fruit/buttercream layered almond cake. I would come back here just to get the desserts! I would give this 5 stars but I feel like I have not had a proper entrée experience, and would need to do re-evaluation by trying one of the chicken entrees.

This was a prelude to dinner at Garces. We kicked it off with some prosecco and mini eats. They have a great variety of cheeses and small apps. Great place for a drink or two or three! Friendly staff and good crowd!

I was very excited to try Tredici for wine and drinks with a friend after work, but I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed. The server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and did make several suggestions which I really appreciated(and didn’t push the most expensive played). Our food and drinks came out very quickly as well. We both ordered a full glass of the Cabernet– it was a good-sized pour, and the temperature was perfect. We split the bacon-wrapped dates, half-dozen oysters, and the fried goat cheese. We also devoured the complimentary green olives(delicious). The fried goat cheese was incredible(what fried cheese isn’t?), and was served with three tiny pieces of bread and some sauce. The bacon wrapped dates were tasty, but very rich and very heavy. Unfortunately two of our five dates were wrapped in bacon that was mostly just fat, so we had to cut them apart. The mussels were fresh and very large– so large I wasn’t able to just swallow them as I’m used to. It also seems like the menu may rotate? I saw some pictures of dishes in other reviews that were not offered on the menu. I will likely return to Tredici to try a few more dishes, but because of the pricing($ 12 for one glass), it will likely be when I’m trying to splurge a little.

A few friends and I decided to stop in here after dinner on a Friday night. So, this review is strictly for their wine, atmosphere, and service. When we got there, it was packed! But, we waited about 10 mins and were able to snag 4 seats at the back bar(at the raw bar prep station). I love the fact that they have half glasses of wine because it really allows you to try so many different types! We each tried several half glasses of wine and enjoyed each one. Two of us also tried the Tredici Standard cocktail and found it just a little too sweet. The service was exquisite. Everyone was friendly and could answer any questions we had about the drink menu. There was a customer next to us that appeared drunk and kept trying to talk to our group. The staff handled him in a very professional manner and made sure we felt comfortable. It was very reassuring! The atmosphere is very modern and chic. Sitting at the raw bar prep station is awesome because you get to see the oysters, crab claws, shrimp, etc. The restaurant also feels very open since there are tables outside and the walls open up to create that«open air» feel. All the food that we saw being prepared looked very fresh! I’d love to go back and try their food :) Overall, it seems to be a great place for drinks and small plates/appetizers! Definitely a great addition to the Philly food/drink scene!

After walking past a jam packed Tredici for weeks I have finally had the chance to try it and I was not disappointed. The menu, although very small, had many items that caught my eye. My boyfriend and I went with the mushroom toast, the roasted cauliflower, the lamb lollipops and the lasagna verde. Everything was delicious, but my favorites were definitely the lasagna and the mushroom toast… GETTHEMUSHROOMTOAST. Just trust me. Stop by and enjoy a glass of wine and some great food. Just remember they don’t take reservations!

Finally made it here, they make great use of their space – feels very airy and modern. Oysters were perfect, lamb chops were well seasoned and the roasted truffle mushrooms came out in a mini crockpot and were SPOTON. Lots of dates there every night, take your boo but be warned they’re perpetually packed, so plan accordingly

Great place for drinks and food. It’s a bit small(or intimate, however you prefer to see it) and they don’t take reservations so if you’re hoping for a seat during happy hour or on a weekend you either have to be lucky or patient. Everything was delicious and I especially enjoyed the yellowtail crudo and oysters. The Mediterranean board was very generous. They had a rally easy Viognier and tasty champagne for toasting! Great place for a date or a girls night.

So we were only in Philly for one night and I kept reading how Tredici was the hip new spot in Philly and how the food was amazing. I was fully expecting a very long wait, which is why I also made ressies at Bud & Marilyns for 730. But when we walked in past 7 on a Saturday night, it was barely full. We were quickly seated at a booth with a vantage point of the kitchen and oyster bar. Very chic and polished inside. The menu, while I’m sure is full of quality and excellent food, was quite small and nothing was necessarily jumping out at me. My boyfriend mirrored my same feelings. To be honest, we had already kind of had our mind set on Bud & Marilyns so don’t let that deter you. However, I really wanted to try this avocado & broccoli everyone raved about, so we decided to start out with that and a cocktail. Don’t recall the name of my cocktail but it did taste a bit like a Band-Aid. The broccoli-avocado, however, was AMAZING. Not kidding. Any place that can make vegetables taste like THAT has an extremely talented and palette-sensitive chef. Bravo on that delicious broccoli! Although we were intrigued and satisfied with our dish, we ultimately decided to head over to Bud & Marilyn’s for dinner because it seemed a bit more gastro-pubby, whereas Tredici was a touch too fancy and posh for our needs that night. It’s very bright and sterile inside and we were looking for dim-lighting, casual and romantic. The food is great here, but the environment is a little formal so I would opt to sit at their outdoor tables. It also looks like the fuss at this place has worn off so you should have no problem getting a table for 2 on a Saturday night.

This place gets 5 stars for the space that it is in alone… its absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful inviting bar area and the other seats are an inviting mix of casual and dressed up. The menu is very exciting and I would say the food was very very good. Probably not the best I have had in Philly(because I have had some amazing food in this city). So 5 stars for space and 4 for food. 5 because you have to go here.

I had been dying to try this place after seeing it on Uwishunu’s «wine bars to try» list and I’m so glad I finally made it in. I was sad at first that there were no outdoor tables available, but the huge open windows and doors still gave it an alfresco vibe indoors. It’s got a cool, upscale lounge vibe and trendy décor that feels very European. Ambiance is big in my book and this place nailed it. The wine was good and affordable(a huge plus in center city) but my favorite part by far was the spinach gnocchi. Really enjoyed the beet salad too. The plates are designed to be shared so my friend and I had four plates and left very full. The service was notable too. Our waitress was busy but attentive, and when she wasn’t around other staff would step in immediately to serve and refill water, etc. We had to return one dish that had nuts on it because my friend was allergic, but they quickly and happily replaced it without fuss. I will certainly be back to try more wines and plates! Definitely going to be a new summer go-to.

This is one of my favorite«Italian» restaurants in the city currently. The reason I have Italian in quotes being that this is a Mediterranean/Italian/Raw-bar hybrid in my eyes(or through my taste buds) and offers a wonderfully diverse menu that covers all the bases of what I want in a meal(be it alone, in the corner with my adult coloring books and a glass(or 8) of Caymus or with a group of people who stubbornly accept my company). The décor of this place is SPOTON. The design team and staff REALLY did their homework and brought to life something completely unique, fun and impressive that honestly I didn’t know if they were going to be able to pull off using the space that they had. There isn’t one person I’ve taken who hasn’t been impressed by this aspect of the place. As far as food is concerned, this place does everything delightfully simply yet with flavor that normally accompanies a much more complicated dish. The Mediterranean tasting board is completely incredible and has maybe the best falafel I’ve ever had in the world on it along with some really tasty hummus and a few other great items(a quinoa tabbouleh and some marinated vegetables with some fresh grilled bread drizzled with olive oil that, rumor has it could have been drizzled and collected off of one of the Victoria’s Secret models… its THAT good). The pasta dishes are all simple yet taste great and same goes for their various entrée style meats/birds/fishes…the bronzino is definitely one of my favorites. The bar is fantastic there and has maybe some of my favorite«stools”/chair/throne things that are at any restaurant. They do half glasses of wines which really rocks if you want to sample various wines and have a really awesome cocktail program. It’s also one of the only places I can even get Caymus by the glass… which is a big plus for me. Service wise, this is one of the best places in town. The management is stellar, and the staff are equally as amazing. Everyone seems to love what they do and it adds to the positive energy of the place. This is a GREAT place with GREAT people. Do yourself a favor and put it on your«places to eat list» ASAP.

Tredici is a modern Italian-fare sister restaurant of Zavino’s, pizzeria right across the street. Came here to grab a quick dinner after movie night on Saturday. We took two of the available seats at the bar. Didn’t realize that they stopped serving the dinner menu at 10pm(it doesn’t say so on the website) but we were promptly given the late night menu by the bartender. I love that they do half glasses of wine, this allows us to try multiple items off the list. I was looking for something sweet so I ordered the Lambrusco, a slightly sparkling berry flavored red. I really like the wine list, it’s very easy to interpret and not overwhelming. I was initially intrigued by the squid ink pasta but had to fall back on the bar menu. We tried the chicken meatballs and the Moroccan spiced ribs. Yum!!! I’d recently had chicken meatballs by Wolfgang puck express and was underwhelmed but these meatballs were really tender and the sauce was done just right. The ribs were also flavorful and the meat fell off the bone. Not sure if I tasted any Moroccan flavors but the sauce that came with it was delicious. The space has a sexy NYC vibe to it. Definitely coming back to try more items off the dinner menu! They don’t take reservations and started serving brunch recently.

I had my eye on this place for a little while now and was thrilled to have had the opportunity to finally experience it. I must say I was underwhelmed. I expected the food to be better than it was, based on the positive Unilocal reviews. Arrived at 8:15 on Wednesday night. The friendly hostess greeted us warmly and promptly. She advised us that there would be a 30 minute wait for a table but immediate seating was available at the oyster bar. Gladly, we took 2 seats and enjoyed watching the cook prepare the salads and«raw» bar offerings. The wine selection was very nice. I ordered a glass of Merlot. After what seemed to be a slightly extended wait, the server advised me that they were out of the Merlot, but had a Pinot Noir as a substitute. Hmm. Pinot Noir and Merlot are 2 different animals, so I thought that was an odd suggestion. I selected the Caymus Cabernet instead and it was spectacular! Very soon thereafter, we received the food that we ordered. All the while, I noticed that additional bar guests and a couple of tables seated after us, had received yummy looking Castelvetrano olives upon being seated, but we had not. Then suddenly, our server brought us the olives after we had received all of our food. That’s cool though, better late than never because the olives were very good; mild flavor and seasoned lightly with fresh rosemary. The stone crab claws were also good and a nice sized order. The Mediterranean tasting board was a bit disappointing. The best part was the quinoa– it was very flavorful and well done. The warm roasted red peppers and green beans were decent. Sadly, the falafel was dry and not all that flavorful. The hummus had a nice flavor, was topped with smoked paprika which I liked, but it was also dry. Finally, the waitress offered us dessert and when my husband asked for an espresso, she replied that they don’t have coffee there. Wait, what? You serve dessert, but no coffee? Then she offered to run across the street to get it and it would be no problem. But we kind of felt that it was a problem since it had been brought it to our attention that they don’t serve coffee but could run across the street to get it. While most of the food was good, it wasn’t great. I would give it another try and order different food items because the wine was spectacular, but at $ 28 per glass, I am not rushing back.

I wasn’t completely sure what to expect here, but the reviews seemed good and I wanted to give it a try. The feel of Tredici is upscale urban chic. The concept is Italian/Mediterranean tapas. As a vegetarian, there were a ton of options to try. The small plates were brought out one at a time and staggered which was great for tasting and not feeling overwhelmed with what was on the table. We tried the saffron arancini, mushroom toast, broccoli and avocado, roasted cauliflower, Israeli couscous, and the Mediterranean tasting board. Everything was very good, fresh, and flavorful. The stand outs for me were the arancini, mushroom toast and the cauliflower. Service was good. Food was great. The noise levels were a little louder than expected but this place was pretty full for a weekday night. They don’t take reservations so be prepared for a wait or a drink at the bar until a table opens.

This place hit the spot on a late Thursday night, in Philly… I was very impressed with the service and the food. Typical Philly wine bar but this place had a different vibe, very grown and classy! I love my tapas and Tredici didn’t disappoint me, at all. We started with the roasted cauliflower, which was amazing and came with a lemon yogurt dipping sauce. Lastly, we tried the Mediterranean board, which came with falafel, quinoa salad, hummus and a roasted red pepper and green bean salad. I was in love from the word, «Go»!!! Everything was just really good and fresh. I must not forget about the drinks. I started with a glass of Reisling and ended with a raspberry mojito, made especially for me. I really like this spot, I’ll definitely be back!!!

What a fantastic find ! I’ve been trying to come here for over a month now. Unfortunately they only serve dinner so I had to strategically make plans to eat here. That aside, it was totally worth the effort! Came here on Thurs evening at 6:45pm and we were seated right away. Given that they don’t allow reservations, they’re very fast to greet and seat. As soon as I walked in I noted the bright but simple décor. The lights made everything classy and romantic. A great place for GNO, a date or hang out with coworkers! The customers were dressy and trendy so keep that in mind when you check this place out. Our waiter and his trainee were very friendly and attentive. They continued to check up on us which was nice. They offered us in house stilled water or sparkling. Now, onto the food. The winning dish was hands down the spinach gnocchi, which we ordered on a whim. It was just right on texture and the sauce was delicious. You could actually taste the spinach! We also tried the bacon wrapped dates which were yummy — the sweet dates filled with cream cheese(?) Complimented the saltiness of the bacon. I didn’t care too much for the dipping sauce, which was a yogurt like sauce, because I felt like it covered the flavor of the bacon and dates. The beets salad was so so good — they used golden beets which are my favorite because they’re sweeter. The salad that was paired with it was fresh. The squid ink tonarelli was good in flavor but a bit too chewy for my preference, but that’s my biased opinion. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised by the roasted cauliflower. Most places throw some spice or salt and call it a day, but tredici’s version actually has a kick! Since I love spicy food, I really enjoyed this dish. Our bill came out to $ 60 for 3 people. Not breaking the bank and you get quality food! It’s definitely a place I recommend going with 3 – 4 people so you can share because the portions are modest — more like tapas style. Definitely a great place to check out considering they have vegetarian options !

I’ve only stopped by Tredici Enoteca for after-dinner drinks, but I can tell it’s about to become one of my favorite spots. The wine selection is carefully curated and prices range from moderate to indulgent. I had a glass of the most fantastic verdicchio from the cruvinet and followed that up with some fabulous sparkling rosé. The restaurant is larger than it appears from the outside, which I was happy to see, since I keep hearing how popular this place has become already. I really loved the sleek, upscale vibe, and I felt like I was in another city. Can’t wait to return for a bite and many more glasses of wine!

In Philly and thought I would give this place a shot with my friends. Nice atmosphere and very good service. We tried a bunch of dishes. It’s tapas style and meant for sharing. I had high expectations. When I get to Ohilly there are fantastic restaurants and J read about this opening and bookmarked it. It was good but not great. I was between three and four stars here but has potential and hopefully will continue to improve. Some of our dishes: Oyster were just ok Loved the cauliflower appetizers and the chicken meatballs, that had great flavor. Lasagna was a flat style that had nice flavor but I thought it was too greasy. Disappointed with ricotta gnocchi, which I love and almost always order when in a menu. These were baked and had nice flavor but was not crazy about the texture.
