Trullo Pilates

Just finished my first class at Trullo and it was awesome! I was a little intimidated because I’m a beginner (like…seriously) but the instructor was super nice with helping me learn. I’m excited to go back and hopefully improve.

I didn’t expect to love it because I have never been as enthused about Pilates as I am about yoga and dance, but I quickly came to love the classes because they are an efficient use of 45 – 50 minutes. I have gone about 5 times now, and each time, I feel like I have squeezed in an intense core workout in a small amount of time (back, abs, thighs, gluts, and usually some upper arm work). Daniela paces the classes well, no wasted time, no breaks, but you also not pushing yourself too hard – which would lead to injury.
We are led to do the exercises in a safe way with emphasis on proper alignment. I have had class cards in a few local yoga and exercise studios. While in other studios’ core classes, I sometimes pull a muscle in my back or shoulders, I have never hurt anything in Trullo’s classes.
I have already learned a lot from Daniela about how to use better Pilates technique, and I am feeling muscles deep in my core that I haven’t always accessed the same way in yoga. It’s been a great compliment to my yoga/​dance/​weight-​training workouts. Even if you currently do not exercise, Daniela’s classes are a safe, efficient way to add exercise into your life.

I have never been a pilates girl. I have never been a work out girl.
I signed up for a morning class on a whim– naturally I slept right through it.
I apologized with an email to Daniela and she was so supportive even though we have never met and I have never visited Trullo before. This gave me more incentive to actually make it to my next class.
I immediately loved the class because of Daniela’s personality. She’s so bubbly and so happy and completely takes away the awkwardness of your first pilates class.
But after my first class I had to get an ankle surgery that forced me to stay off my ankle. Daniela stayed in touch with me and answered any questions through email the entire time. She is literally the best.
Now I feel like I can (almost) call myself a pilates girl. Daniela is still awesome and I have taken a class with Nicole who is also awesome.
I have even convinced my boyfriend to take a lesson with me. Its amazing how Daniela makes you feel at ease and less silly (even if you are a grown man who always thought of working out as men=weights and women=yoga)
Now he is hooked (and keeps reminding me to pull my bellybutton into my spine, often at the most annoying times)
There are so many pilates/​yoga studios in this neighborhood and I’ll recommend Trullo to everyone. Especially if you’re someone who is new to pilates and nervous just like I was.

Pilates has always kind of intimidated me, but I decided to try it out once this studio opened on Liberties Walk. The teachers are super sweet and genuinely nice. The class size is small, which gives the instructors a chance to give personal coaching throughout the workout. The space is bright and clean and I like the soundtrack of Feist in the background. The classes are easy to schedule online and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely continue to go to this studio.

4 sessions in to my LivingSocial 5-​sesh deal and I’m ready to publicly declare that I’m a fan of Trullo Pilates. The classes are small (max 6/​class) and the instructors are great. They really push you to have the most effective workout possible, and I have always walked out feeling like my time and money was well-​spent.
The studio is small, but has everything you would need. Located just beyond the bulk of stores on Liberties Walk, it can be a little hard to find, but they usually have a sandwich board positioned outside.

I have been going to this pilates studio since it first opened and absolutely love it. The owner is a extremely friendly perky person, who takes the time to correct your technic and make sure that you are getting the most out of your sessions. It is a small studio that is expanded its classes and offering additional forms of classes as it grows. Going to Trullo has helped me improve my overall form of working out and has shown me how to use my core to get the most out of all my work outs.
