Full disclosure: I finally received my refund — paid in two separate installments.

Contact the location in Voorhees, NJ if you have not got a refund. The owners are Tom and Janka O’brien and they teach classes there and own the studio. As soon as they sent the email out in August I got a refund, I could smell TROUBLE A MILE AWAY!!!

I too have been asking for a reimbursement for MONTHS now after Versa’s mysterious and sudden closing at the end of August. It’s mid-​December and they still owe me $ 420. It’s quite a pity because Versa was probably the best gym I have ever been to. Hoping to get my money back soon. :(
Also… I would love to figure out where Kelli went. Her kickboxing class was the best!!!

I just FINALLY received my money back from Versa. I wanted to let everyone know that it is possible — just keep at it.
I’d like to think writing a Unilocal review helped — they were more responsive after I posted something on here.

I loved this place. Unfortunately, the Philly location went out of business. Even more unfortunate is the fact that the owners are a bunch of liars. I was promised a check two months ago. Every time I call or email to see if it is on the way they supposedly are just about to send it. I have never had such a horrible experience at a fitness center. I have actually contemplated suing them for not refunding my money. If you also have not received your money, please message me and maybe we can discuss our options.

I loved the classes here. that is the few I actually got to use. I went yesterday to find a sign on the door stating they’re closed until further notice. The email contact they left is coming back as undeliverable and the phone just keeps ringing. Anyone have any information on this? Seems very shady…

Not really sure what happened, but all of the sudden this place closed. At first it was under the pretense of a labor day holiday, but then they sent a follow-​up email saying to contact them about membership options. They seemed to be doing so well so I bought a year long pass. Hopefully, I’ll get some of the money reimbursed.

I purchased a groupon a few months ago to try it out. My two favorite classes are the Zumba on Sat morning and the TRX/​Vibe class. Most Zumba classes that I’ve been to focus mostly on salsa, but Maya mixes salsa, hip hop, bollywood, etc altogether to make it a great cardio workout thats challenging and fun. The hour goes by really fast. TRX/​Vibe is a great workout to engage all of those tiny muscles that you never knew existed!

I also bought a livingsocial deal for 10 classes. I love the location, the facility is really nice, and always clean and tidy.
I have gone to a zumba class with maya (great class, it was a great workout, and I didn’t even notice until the end, how much we actually had done). Versa shape with Kristin is a great class, I went to that one as many Saturday mornings as I could, it’s a great all over workout! (Incorporates all the things I don’t do in my regular workout routine, stability ball, hand weights, medicine ball). I also tried a regular spin class and a spin/​TRX class. I enjoyed the TRX part of the class, but I prefer more intense spin classes then the ones I took here. Kettle bells was also a great class. All the instructors I took were great, motivating, and very helpful, especially if you have never done that type of class (TRX). really enjoyed all the classes I took, felt like they were a great effective workout. I would love to take more classes, but like others have mentioned it is too pricey for me, but if you’re buying one of the group deals, its definitely a great buy!

I like to give credit where credit is due, and man is it due after the boot camp class with Kelli today.
I work out. a lot. I run, go to yoga, lift weights, do body combat at my gym. I ran Broad St 3 times. And man, oh man– this class was definitely the hardest class I’ve ever taken. I would say that this class is worth the $ 20 that they charge.
It was small, only 4 people — and I am completely beat.

A-​MAZING.
Purchased a Living Social deal for this cool group fitness center. So far took a Pilates, Zumba and kickboxing class and have loved each and every class. I was actually smiling and having fun during Zumba.
Been to other serious Pilates studios downtown, but this one actually makes working out fun. Everyone is friendly, especially the front desk girl, and the space is big and super clean.
WISH I could afford this place but alas.

. Best deal ever! I love this place. Versa is right on trend with all the latest fitness routines and equipment. Everybody who works there is very friendly & knowledgable.
Their equipment is limited, as Versa focuses more on exercise classes. The classes are offered frequently and appeal to just about anyone.
Without some sort of deal, I probably would never be able to afford this place. It is like $ 1,000 for a year membership, and $ 20 a class if you drop in. My suggestion would be 1) save money and 2) troll around groupon/​ruelala/​living social for a good deal. Also if you friend/​follow them on Facebook/​Twitter, you will hear about any specials they may have.
