Literally the best empanadas i ever had. Everything on the menus is great! Haven’t seen this truck at frankford and girard… Is it still around?

A friend of mine mentioned this truck to me recently because she is friends with one of the guys. I saw they were gonna be at the StrEAT Food Fest in Yunk so made a mental note to stop by if I saw them. Found the truck and proceeded to stand in line for an hour. Granted, this was later in the day when the festival was super slammed. After waiting for a half hour and as much as I wanted to say screw it, we were like no we might as well stay at this point. Not sure they were prepared for a crowd of this size. We got an order of the steak empanadas and also pierogies. The empanadas were super yummy, the pierogies I was a little disappointed in mainly because by the time we had long walked away from the truck, we realized the girl forgot to give us sour cream :(The rogies were good but very dry without the sour cream and having that would’ve made it that much better. Food was good, but definitely not stand in line for an hour good. Oh well, I was glad to support a friend of a friend regardless! Oh and they accept credit cards, so that’s a perk for people that don’t have cash!

How do you make pierogies better? Well this truck has the recipe — you deep fry them and then serve them with onions and sour cream on the side. The pierogies are absolutely delicious and will melt in your mouth. The portions were huge, and you get 3 for $ 6 or 6 for $ 10! Pretty cheap deal considering how much food you are getting. They even have empanadas which I deeply regret not getting. The truck was parked right outside of barcade, so go get your pierogies!

This truck offers pierogies and empanadas. Empanadas have some unusual fillings while the pierogies are your classic potato and cheese, albeit deep fried. The pierogies are good and well-filled, but could use way more cheese. The 20 minutes wait(line plus cook time) isn’t great, but if you don’t mind waiting, it’s a good snack.
