Bought the vegan apple bread off door to door organics. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely get more from this company

Used to get brioche hamburger buns from FreshDirect 6 for $ 5 or so, only place I could think of getting them from outside of a restaurant. Oddly enough, Unilocal led me here and haven’t been disappointed. Will be returning to this business for other stuff.

The garlic knots are my favorite! One of my favorite treats from Wild Flour is the brownie! You can catch the bakery at several farmer markets and they now have online ordering.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pumpkin pie. I hate when it’s covered in so much spice or so sickeningly sweet that it is more like pumpkin laced sugar. I am particular about the crust too and expect that to be flavorful, crisp, and just the right amount of crunch on the top. I wasn’t planning on purchasing a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving, but as I walked down the aisle of my local organic market, I saw this gem of a pumpkin pie and it was calling my name. Imagine my delight when I opened and bit into my first slice only to realize this was to become my favorite pumpkin pie — ever. Seriously, it was that good! For $ 14.95(which I didn’t think is unreasonable for a good quality pie), this pie was worth every penny! I need another please, stat!!!

Caught them at the farmers market in Rittenhouse square yesterday and everything looked really yummy. I got a chocolate croissant and a pack of sticky buns. I don’t know if it’s because they’ve been sitting out all morning– but like another reviewer said, the croissant was pretty bad. Too doughy, tough and not flaky/buttery like a croissant should be. The sticky buns, however, were alright– not great, but alright.

We stumbled across this bakery at the farmers market at Rittenhouse Square. The breads and pastries looked delicious, particularly the brioche buns! We asked the worker to recommend either the chocolate croissant or the chocolate chip bread. She wasn’t able to make a recommendation for one or the other; she said it depended on what I wanted. I think a good server should always be prepared to make a recommendation based on personal preference, other custom or recommendation, past sales… that’s my opinion anyway. We selected the chocolate croissant. It was the breadiest croissant I have had – not buttery, flaky, or layered with flavor at all. I shared it with my partner, but I threw my half away and decided to look elsewhere for a tasty morning treat. We ended up at my favorite coffee shop in Lansdowne, Regency Café, and had a very nice quiche with bacon and leeks – always dependable.

Just wanted to add that the very nice owner did contact me to offer a free replacement baguette! And although I wasn’t able to make it to the market last weekend, I will do so soon. I really appreciate the excellent customer service. They obviously care alot about their product and their customer’s experience!

Two words: BEERBREAD. There are 2 varieties of beer bread made here, and they are both amazing. I don’t eat much bread, but if you live alone I recommend sharing a loaf with a friend or freezing the rest, as it freezes well. This is only one of 2 bakeries from which I will eat the bread. The offerings are outstanding. DOYOUHEARME!!! I said out STANDing, fools. The other things — flatbreads, pastries, and weekly whims of fancy(they dig getting creative, so don’t get addicted to a special SPECIAL item, cause it may not be there next time) — all rise above thebar, and ever you find the crew at a Farmers Market, you can bet that one of the baker dudes is there and will proudly answer all of your questions. When it comes to coffee or bread, nothing but the very best cross my lips. I deserve that — and so do you. Treat thyself!

If you’ve ever wondered who made the brilliant brioche bun wrapped around your last memorable burger, this one’s for you. Like all of Wildflour’s offerings, those eggy rounds of glory are made primarily for wholesale — restaurants mostly, but some gourmet markets too, like Green Aisle Grocery. You can catch their table at the Headhouse Square Farmer’s Market on Sundays through the season(kicks of May 2 this year).
