Wok & Roast

Our go-​to Chinese take out in Port Richmond. Their beef Lo mein is pretty good and I enjoy their chicken wings. One con for the restaurant is that they don’t supply any utensils and not nearly enough condiments!

If I’m hungover or just hating my life and need sloppy Chinese food, Wok and Roast can get me it in like 20 minutes flat. They have bangin garlic chicken wings that are like $ 3. They have solid dinner combos as well. Only Chinese delivery I get that comes to fishtown.

This place never disappoints. There should be more Chinese restaraunts like this! I go out of my way to go to this place. I live 7 miles away.

I always get food here and I think it is one of the best in this area. I last time got the sesame chicken with white rice it was fresh and very good. Better than the General Tso’s chicken. Sometimes the chicken is hard and chewy but not always.
You do not get a ‘after burn’ from the fryer grease like you do in some of the area joints.

Vegetarian General Tso’s chicken… tasted like fried doughy flour fritters in the General Tsos sauce. I couldn’t really taste or feel the faux chicken meat in my mouth, n when I looked at it after I bit into it, all I could see was the breading/​flour. The sauce tasted really delicious, but was on the watery side. I was really disappointed, & wasted my money!!! They didn’t even have brown rice. I bought this dish bcuz when I asked what was the most popular veg dish they sell, this is the one they told me. I never gave only one star, but gonna give 2, sauce n broccoli was good, so 2 for effort.

I strayed one time from wok and roast. NEVER AGAIN! And it was only because they were closed. Me and my fiancé are vegetarians and you can’t find quality vegetarian meat around Kensington port richmond area. But when I did stray, I ordered from another place that has vegetarian meats and it was rubbery and the rest or the food was bland. Not wok and roast, flavorful and spicy in every perfect way. If this place ever closed down, I wold cry. Quality food. Period. And when I do order, it comes within 30 mins every time. I am eating their general tso’s mock chicken right now. Delicious and amazing. A must for people who like Chinese food. A must for people who just like vegetarian food. I will never order from anywhere else again.

One of my favorite Chinese take out places. Lo mein isn’t as greasy as other places. Portions are large and food taste so fresh. Also, delivery here is extremely fast!
