Grace gave me a massage and it was amazing. I feel so much better after. She was very knowledgeable of the muscles and got all my sore spots straightened out. I would recommend grace and would do it again

I think places like Xpress Spa often get a bad rap. People go in expecting to be transported to a completely zen-like place but let’s face it, you’re still in an airport! As a professional in the spa industry, I know how difficult it is to create a flawless spa experience even under the best circumstances. I think Xpress Spa does a pretty bang-up job considering they’re functioning within an airport, one of the most stress-filled places imaginable. I spend half my life(okay, probably more than half) traveling for work and am always grateful to Xpress Spa for helping me squeeze in a little self-care. Yesterday I was at PHL with about 3 hours to kill and was thrilled that the location near Terminal D was able to fit me in with no advance notice. I scheduled a 30 minute foot massage and settled into one of their super duper amazing massage chairs. My Massage Therapist(people, please stop calling them«masseuses» — ugh!) was friendly and pleasantly chatty but also very respectful when she could sense that I was drifting off to my happy place. I’m kicking myself for not writing down her name so I could give her appropriate credit here. I remember it started with an A and was really long; my receipt says«Amatt» — let’s call that partial credit. Ms A’s technique was flawless! Seriously equal to what I’ve experienced in 5 star resort spas! I was so happy with her and the foot service that I decided to add a 20 minute chair massage. Again, I was floored with how amazing she was! Honestly, I consider myself a bit of a massage snob and had never done a chair massage before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. She intuitively knew where I needed her to work her magic and was able to work out the kinks and knots. 20 minutes felt like forever and by the time she was done I felt like a million bucks, not much different than after I’ve had a full-body massage for 3x the price. I will definitely be giving chair massage another try and hope I’m lucky enough to find someone just as good. I was in absolute bliss as I boarded my 6 hour cross-country flight and am still reaping the benefits of my massage.

Seriously thought there was a hidden camera due to the appalling lack of customer service. I am a regular at Xpress Spa and other airport massage groups. I travel for a living and have a lot of back pain. I had a layover in Philly so I made a beeline for the spa. When I arrived, two men were giving massages and no one was at the desk. They did not acknowledge me standing there. I asked if I needed to sign in and was told in a snooty tone that it would be a 30 minute wait. I said that was fine, I’d just go over to the bar for a glass of wine. He then advised me that they could not work on me if I was going to drink. WHAT? Never have ever heard that before. I said I am just going to have one glass of wine. His associate gave him a strange look and told me it was fine. I asked if I needed to sign in and they said, no, they would remember me. I smiled, thanked them and went to the bar. Exactly 30 minutes later I returned. The snooty one was getting off the phone. He said«I’m sorry but that was my manager and we cannot treat you now that you have been drinking» WHAT? I said you told me it was ok?! I wouldn’t have gone over there if you had not okayed it. «So sorry but that would push the wine thru your system» WHAT?! I told him that I was very disappointed and would not return ever. So… Mr. Manager, you need to work on your staff’s demeanor and their instructions to customers. I have never been so aggravated. I let everyone in the bar know and they were equally appalled. Facebook has also blown up over this. Customer service is critical these days and your staff was rude and offensive. They gave misinformation then treated me like a criminal for a glass of wine. Had I not been friendly, they would never have known where I was going. You lost a regular customer who travels thru Philly a lot over this insulting behavior. Poor form guys.

I just had the best 30 minute chair massage of my LIFE. Here. Yes, here. At Xpress Spa. In the PHL Airport. Don’t hate! I have used this location twice before and have always been happy with the services, despite the non traditional location. The staff are nice, not pushy, and they seem genuine. Often times at a more traditional spa, the staff are a little too sugary. These ladies, particularly Sabrina, my masseuse, were friendly in a real way. Speaking of Sabrina… she went to WORK on my back, neck and shoulders, giving a me a wonderful massage. She began by asking me if there were any areas she should avoid or might cause me discomfort. I told her NO, go to it. and she gave me ‘xactly’ what I wanted and needed. Great job ladies, and Xpress Spa, and awesome job SABRINA!!!
