Always friendly when I go in to visit. Very knowledgeable and I love that they make everything in house. I like the soaps. They’re not too strong and the oil mixtures are great. I use them on my hair. Lovely business

I initially found Yadain Co while looking for somewhere that could match the scent of a hair product I use.(Hey sometimes you go on missions for scents!) I treked it out to germantown to visit this location(they also have another location on Broad and Erie) as this had more of an oil selection. Even though they weren’t able to match the scent(it was a long shot!) I found a whole new treasure. There whipped Shea butters are heaven sent. Most of the scents weren’t to my personal liking however the lavender hit the spot. I also picked up one of their lotions and a bunch of soaps. The lotion was great for my beard and face. Added a nice shine for the beard and moisture for my face without being too oily. The Shea butters are just amazing. Absorb quickly, not too greasy and the scent was natural. I’m hoping they’ll add more natural manly scents. They make all of their natural vegetarian products in house and the owners wife who was helping us was really friendly and sweet. Prices are VERY reasonable compared to the other natural product places and the quality is top. Go visit them and your skin and nose will thank you. Will be here regularly.

Love this place! I have very dry skin and stopped using products like Dove, Keri, Eucerin, etc bc there are ingredients that tend not to solve the problem but mask it, thus making you continue to buy more and more. I started using raw Shea butter and it worked wonders for me but I didn’t like the smell. Here’s where Yadain stepped in. They have raw Shea butter but it’s whipped and scented while maintaining all of its natural properties and benefits. I love Yadain because they have all of my natural skin and hair care needs. My favorite is the Oatmeal scented whipped Shea butter and the coconut rush oil. I also use their eczema soap bar and black soap. The ladies here are so sweet and nice and always give the best suggestions. They truly care about their customers and often times discount special products for you or throw in something for free. Love them and love this place!

Yadain makes and sells their own soaps, lotions, oils and other skin/beauty products. They are, hands down, the best supplier of their kind in the city. And the most inexpensive place I know of to get pure shea butter. This location is across from Imani Charter School and catty-corner from the Coleman Northwest Regional Library, a block from Greene and Chelten. It’s easy to get to, there is a free, municipal lot directly across the street, and usually ample parking on Armat Street(which is 2 ways and runs between Imani and Yadain). I come here primarily for my scented body oil. I have been wearing the same scent for more than 23 years, but my supplier went out of business back in 98 – 99. Since then, I had been unable to find a duplicate scent from anyone– not vendors, not wholesalers, not even Muslim guys on the subway. Then I came here and the incredibly knowledgeable women at Yadain smelled my old, empty bottle, took a few minutes and then mixed 3 or 4 different scents to reproduce it almost perfectly. They also wrote the mixture on the bottle so that everytime I go back, whoever is there can also reproduce it for me without having to rely on my memory!

I adore Yadain. I always buy my body oils from this spot. They have a big selection of scented cocoa butters, as well as plain cocoa and shea butters, black soap, and shampoos/conditioners/shower gels. Check this spot out! The staff here are great btw.

This place is at the end of a winding maze of streets across town from me and I’ve only passed through this area occasionally(years ago). With that said, the stuff they have in here is well worth the trip. I started using natural products almost 5 years ago and each year I get further and further away from processed drug store stuff. When I discovered Yadain on Chestnut, I couldn’t have asked for anything more and without warning it was snatched away from me. With little hesitation I made the pilgrimage to Green St… on a day when the weather was absolutely nasty. And I’d do it again. I’m just thankful for this option. I thought all of the Yadains closed, but I was told the others were only temporary. The more I smell, the less I know. Honestly, oils are just the beginning. PROTIP No1 — It’s pronounced Yuh-dane… at first I thought it was Yada-een PROTIP No2 — They have exotic custom blends of raw shea butter. You won’t find anything even close to it. Any place else is a step down.

A great place to go if you love natural soaps and lotions as well as shea butters and different kinds of oils!!! I’m so late discovering them, but it will definitely be one of my go-to spots now!
