The Home Depot

Love the store, love the customer service, love product selection for the most part (lack some products that Lowes carry’s and rarely offer coupons). I enjoy the plant center as well. However, I cannot stand the guy who bothers me every time I come in about upgrading my home to solar. I want to browse products, not be approached every time I come in by this guy. Sometimes I dodge him and go through plant center or just go to Lowe’s if I don’t feel like dealing with it that day. I am sure his company pays HD for that spot, but I just can’t stand it.

Just experienced outstanding customer service from Ron in their kitchen department. He worked relentlessly with me over the phone to get my project underway from out of state. If the contractors do the job with the work effort that he displayed, I’m sure my granite countertops will be awesome.

I’m use to going into home depot, but more so now that I just bought a home in the area. I use to live an hour east of here. (The restaurants in THIS area fall short compared to where I come from, BUT the customer service in THIS area is the BEST!)
I’m enjoying the customer service and pleasantness around here. This Home Depot is pretty darn awesome. As a woman I’m not immediately treated like an idiot. Most of the men give me a chance before thinking they can teach me something.
When they discover I’m doing drywall and electrical they actually try to help and not disrespect me. I do know it is hard though. Men are use to knowing more in this arena. And actually, as far as my skills are concerned, they still do! But it’s great that the employees here offer help, not ENLIGHTENMENT. Lol. (A few of the old-​timers still say some things that I have to chuckle at, buet I seriously don’t hold it against them cuz they try very hard not to offen.)
The store is organized, clean, very well staffed. Parking is good! Open at 6am! Huge garden center. I’ve been in here several times a week and rarely leave without finding what I need. From electrical to hardware, they have it. (I’m not a contractor though, perhaps they would have something different to say. Dunno.)
It’s also nice that they have women staffers to. Overall, everyone is very helpful.
OH and I overbuy all the time as to get my projects done without having to make extra trips, and returning has NEVER been a problem. But I always have my receipt. Even stuff that I opened, like a shower head. As long as it was recent and with a receipt, it’s been no trouble at all.
Once I bought tons of stuff, drywall, etc. It was about $ 500+ and my credit card was denied (a bank safety thing cuz they didn’t know I had moved.) and the cashier never treated me with disrespect. I wrote out a check and it was fine. So great that the staff is so awesome here!

Always amazes me that you can never find anyone to help you find what you are looking for. I honestly think they train their help to hide.
