I tried the Woodsman the other night. I don’t care for the décor and old saloon look. The waitress was nice, and the locals were a bunch of hams. I had of course the fish and chips. The fish seemed fresh, but the fries were underwhelming. The price of the meal was on target. The location is not great, but I wish them the best.

I’ve had a lot of Thai food — REAL, GOOD Thai food. Woodsman is not either. Yellow curry was ok. Teriyaki was obviously canned and way too salty. Pad thai was more like peanut flavored spaghetti. Thai basil dish had almost no basil and tons of salt. Even the Thai iced tea was wrong. They weren’t busy but waitress was frazzled.

The service was friendly, the food was good, and the portions were huge with fair pricing. The reason for two stars is that both me and my dinner-mate got sick from this unfortunately.

I’ve had the chicken curry here. It’s delicious and comes in huge servings so it lasts for days. Definitely recommend it. Would come here more often if it were easier to get to. Only weird thing is the decorations. They have a bunch of saws on the walls.

Lots of choices, maybe too many. Can be excellent but biggest complaint is inconsistency. Last week the pumpkin curry dish was too weird to enjoy but other dishes were fine but unremarkable. Portions are huge. While dinner prices may be high, lunch menu is just fine. For reviewer who in one breath said Thai food is about texture and in another that pad Thai at the woodsman had poor texture, you do realize pad Thai is not really a Thai dish but rather something created for western palates?

This was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Service was pleasant but slow. Portions are huge, but nearly inedible. Vegetables were overcooked to the point of mush. Thai food, like most Asian cooking, is about texture. The Pad Thai had none — and was mostly noodles. We will try it again since we live close by and the general reviews are good. I hope we just got them on a bad night.

Went for lunch on Saturday. Note that prices M-F for lunch are significantly less! Huge portions and very tasty food. My only complaint is that both myself and my friend ordered our dishes«mild spice». Both were VERY spicy. Mine was borderline inedible. So, next time I’ll be sure to order it «no spice».

This place is an old logger bar with chainsaws on the wall and other strange stuff. You can order Thai or American style food both of which are good. This place happens to have the best red curry I have every had. The owners are really friendly. Sometimes the waitresses get too busy.

Fresh homemade Thai /Laotian food. Really sweet wait staff. Kind of a funky place restaurant and bar but family friendly. Loved the Thai food, will come back to try the other offerings.

Okay, I’ve come around. I just order from the Thai menu… because that is where the win is.

Wonderful waitstaff. Great drinks; mojitos are fabulous there! Food is delicious; my favorite is the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream of course!

great menu, I just hate the prices… super expensive for Thai. Haven’t tried the American menu. the décor is something else, it’s unique without trying to hard!

This restaurant came highly recommended to me so my wife and I biked 6 miles from Corvallis to try it out for a fun date. We had high hopes but sadly it fell short of our expectations. The service was fine but the food tasted unlike any other Thai food we’d had before. The pot stickers weren’t too bad. The pad Thai dishes were HUGE, which might not be a bad thing but if we had known that the lunch size would feed 3 people we wouldn’t have ordered two plates. The sauce they used didn’t taste like pad Thai should, it was more of a bbq flavor or something odd… all in all we spent $ 26 during the lunch hour for way more food than we could eat(again, great news if it’s delicious!) and we ended up having to toss it because neither of us were into it. We wish we could give a better review!

Do not let appearances fool you. This place is Thai yumminess bliss – a mouth-gasm. You would never expect such amazing flavors and Thai food from this place. A hidden gem that should be experienced daily. Oh my heavens! If you’re a Thai food snob, this place will set your standard even higher. Yum, yum, yum.

Great Thai food where you would least expect to find it. Looks like a bar/lounge type building but actually quite nice inside. Had the Hot basil & chicked with rice stir fry and was very good. At first I thought the prices might be a little steep but after seeing large portions of food I realized it was worth evry penny. I will defintely stop and try another of theor menu items next time I’m in the aera. Was a great find!

As said in other reviews, this place is a hidden gem. Would not have guessed that Thai food was served here, let alone delicious Thai food. The food here is fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. My favorite dish is Pad See Ew, and they always get it right. The staff are also very nice.

I heard from the librarian down the road that the newest owners are Thai, hence the dichotomy of burgers & curries. I also heard that the staff can be very slow, but she was wonderfully friendly & competent. One person juggling the bar crowd &5 tables with ease! The portions are huge & pricey $ 13 – 15, so be prepared for a full meal to take home.

Don’t let the exterior or mill worker décor fool you, this place is one of the best kept Thai food secrets on the area. The portions are generous and the food is fantastic. If your a spicy food lover who is constantly disappointed by the hottest offerings this is your place… the extra spicy is out of this world. Unlike so many other places were spicy means more red pepper flakes here it means your meal is cooked in peppers and will be truly hot. The place looks like a dive both outside and inside but for spicy Thai food you simply cannot go wrong. Highly recommended!
