25th Street Automotive

I’ve been taking my cars to 25^th street auto since I moved into the neighborhood three years ago. The Bills and their team are very knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to car repair. They’ve always been able to get me in same day or next day whenever I have an issue. They do not overcharge and give you the highest quality of workmanship of any auto shop I’ve ever done business with. On my most recent repair, Bill put his busy schedule on hold to personally bring my truck all the way downtown to my office when the repairs were complete. Highly recommend!

The guy’s at 25^th Street automotive are incredibly thorough, courteous and are dedicated to giving an extremely high level of service. The best part is they listen. I felt pretty confident there might have been something wrong with the control arm on my Chevy Tahoe. They inspected it not once but twice while I was there just to be extra sure. Bill then took the time to explain some of the things I might be hearing and assure me that it was well taken care of.
Long story short I trusted my family vehicle 225^th Street automotive and I suggest you do too.

Excellent service through and through! I found my local auto repair shop, thanks to a referral from my son-​in-​law. They are very honest, only do to work that needs to be done. I called and received same day service. I understand that sometimes this is not possible, but I’m glad it worked out for me. I called because I had just had my car stall on me on the highway and needed to tow it somewhere to get a repair. My usual car repair person was not close and I though I would give this place a try. I asked about towing my car to this place and the guy I spoke to was very rude, I understand if you don’t have time to get to my car but he just had a very matter-​of-​fact attitude with me like I should have known better and my business was not that important to him.
Luckily I called kinkades repair close by and although they were just as busy and weren’t going to get to my car until the next week the guy was very nice and was willing to at least hear me out and answer my questions.

This place took care of my 2002 Maxima for almost four years. Bill is an honest person with a lot of integrity and has always been straight about what needed repairs, what could wait and what maybe wasn’t worth working on at all.
When it came time that the car needed more in repairs than was worth it, Bill was up front about costs and, even as a mechanic, recommended that it would be more worth while to put the money into a down payment on a new car rather than dumping another few grand into my Maxima. He was even kind enough to recommend some cars I may want to look into.
Another nice perk is that they will drive you to/​from home or work while they service your car if you are going to a place that is within a certain proximity.
I appreciate how I’m treated at this shop, and of course it always feels good to support incredible local businesses. I will be giving my business to this shop for as long as I am living in the Phoenix Metro.

I’ve previously had both of my vehicles serviced at 25^th St Auto. Today, I called them because I had gotten completely different assessments from the Toyota dealer and another mechanic regarding what’s wrong with my ’04 Toyota Sienna. I told Bill H that I was moving out of state this weekend and would like to have my vehicle looked at. He regretfully informed me that he had no openings today or tomorrow, but he still stayed on the phone with me for a few minutes, asking me questions and ultimately giving me advice about the vehicle and the diagnosed problems. Truly great customer service. A tiny bit more expensive than other mechanics, but integrity is worth paying for.

Very nice staff. Clean garage. Fast service. Others have said that it’s in a bad neighborhood. It’s not Scottsdale but it’s definitely not the ghetto either. 4 stars because the prices are a little too high. But I’ll keep going here because everything else is great

They were curteous and very knowledgeable about the car. They gave me the best discounts possible. They cost about the same as a dealership prices, but I feel worth it since they go over EVERYTHING. I had to get to new filters so the bill was high for parts and I expected that. All in all for the service and time it took, under an hour of actual work (I was second in line) I think the morning was worth the trip. I’ll be back in December for my next oil change.

I was given a quote for work on the AC on my 2007 Jetta at the dealer for $ 1900. I was told by the dealer that they were being generous with the estimate. Fortunately, I had enough sense to go for a second opinion with the guys at 25^th Street Automotive. From the beginning the service was friendly and there was no pressure to perform service that was not necessary for my car. The total bill came out to $ 90!!! Yep, they have now will have me as their customer and I have already referred a few friends to them.

Can’t decide what I like best about these guys: their friendliness, integrity, competence, good prices, or solar array on shop roof. Always do a great job, highly recommend.

I just called and talked on the phone, but he seemed very helpful. instead of trying to take my money, he recommended that I sold my car «as-​is,» hopefully saving me a great deal of time and money.

How can this place have perfect reviews?! I just called to ask for a quote over the phone and a guy by the name of Bill answered. I explained to him what was going on with my car and he suggested that I should look for a car repair shop near my work because they were too busy to take a look at mine! Are you serious?! I have never been denied service on purpose.

This shop is awesome. They are right down the street from my house. I used to take my car to the dealership for the regular oil change and whatnot, but then I wised up. The guys here are so nice. They don’t try to up sell you or rope you into getting unnecessary repairs.
They made some suggestions as to what might need to be fixed and by when. I asked them about an issue with my steering wheel and the cost to repair it. The man that helped me told me that the part that needed to be fixed had a recall on it, but that my car wasn’t included in the recall. He suggested I contact Toyota Motor Co anyway and see if I could get it repaired for free or at a discount. His advice saved me $ 600 as Toyota repaired it for free. That’s some amazing customer service! I’ll be coming here regularly to service my car.

This is officially my new go-​to auto shop. I took my recently-​purchased, used car here for my first maintenance on it and they were extremely helpful. I’m the type of person who need honest people who will tell me straight what’s going on with my car and that’s exactly what I got, and for $ 46! You can’t beat that. I love this place!

If only the Bills were doctors… we’d be healthy! This automotive shop is simple the best. We’ve been trusting all our cars to them for years and years. They are experts in their field, kind, and very honest. It’s like taking your car to family for repair. You can depend on their word and not have to worry.
They just looked for a way to save us money by suggesting a repair based on experience and know how rather than lots of expensive tests. We agreed that would be best for us and asked them to proceed that way… they were right as always and our car is running again.
They treat us with respect and are so courteous that they carefully put a paper liner down on our car floor to protect it and keep it clean (they always do this even though some of our cars are getting to be quite old). We appreciate that nice touch.

I have been taking my Jeep Wrangler in for service here for well over a year now. This is THE neighborhood automotive shop. First words to describe them are: Ethical, Respectful, Communicative, Intelligent, and no B.S.
These guys will talk to you and explain what’s going on in the vehicle if you are interested. I’ve had quite a few cars and been to a variety of mechanics and dealerships. I can say from experience, I was surprised to not have an «Oh by the way — you need this too» every time I took my Jeep in for service — and I was waiting for it. Granted if they do notice something legitimate they will let you know — and they will also let you know a reasonable timeline on when the items should be fixed.
They have pride in their work and their work ethic. In any business, these can be such rare qualities. Bill C. and Bill H. — thank you both for all that you do!

We brought boyfriends car here based on a recommendation from a friend. Boyfriend knew immediately to check Unilocal and all of the reviews are amazing.
They were so communicative it was insane. We have brought his car other places and it would take days to get a response. These guys clearly pride themselves on communication and customer service.
We dropped the car off after hours and he had it back the next day after a quick call and explanation. These guys want to give you the best deal possible. They had some coupons they offered which helped us out (even if just a bit).
If you think their service is a little more expensive, its worth it!!! Having taken the car other places and not had service like this, we would take both of our cars back here and pay far more than any other place.

In the service industry, it’s difficult to come across truly trustworthy businesses. I get that everyone in the world is in it to make a buck, but I’m so glad that some businesses value honesty above profiteering, especially because they’re intelligent enough to realize that when they treat their customers like people, and not dollar signs, the money will come.
I’ve had the pleasure of bringing my two vehicles to Bill on three separate occasions. Each time he told me the TRUTH. The first time he told me there wasn’t anything wrong with the car and he didn’t try to charge me for an unnecessary diagnostic. The second time he told me he was just too busy and that it would be a few days until he could get to my car. He even let me call him over the phone to make sure my dealership wasn’t screwing me over on the repair he wasn’t able to get to. The third time he told me someone else who specializes in that service could do the job quicker and cheaper than him.
Honesty: that’s what keeps me coming back!

I love this place and I haven’t even taken my car in for service! Camelback Toyota told me I needed a few things done, so I called 25^th Street Automotive to compare prices. Bill took the time to listen to me, and gave me great advice as to the work recommended by the dealership and whether the pricing the dealership gave me was reasonable. It turns out the dealership pricing was reasonable and Bill agreed with most of the recommended work based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. So even though I’m not bringing my car in this time, I will definitely keep them in mind for next time, or for my daughter’s car.
I really appreciate good service, and I appreciate Bill for being honest with me, even if it meant he didn’t get my business today. You can’t beat service like that!
