I went to ABCO because we had a stack of tax papers about the size of Mt. Everest, and(for obvious reasons) we wanted to dispose of them, securely and permanently. And, since it was tax week(April 13 – 18, 2015), ABCO did it all for free! I just handed them the mountain of documents and they invited me to hang around for a few minutes so I could watch all the handiwork go up the conveyor belt and into what could be the world’s largest paper shredder. And I felt safe and secure knowing that I what I wanted kept private would remain private. They also recycle electronics, computer hard drives, CDs/DVDs, cell Phones, x-rays, etc.

I brought my paper in a plastic container that I needed back. No one asked if I wanted it back and I forgot it there. When I called to see if they still had it they said yes and that is was my responsibility to tell them I needed it back. Granted that is true, but it is also their responsibility to ask me if I want it back. A simple we apologize for the oversight would have sufficed, but the person on phone had poor customer service skills. Said they can’t be responsible for keeping it until I could get there, they couldn’t drop it by my work, even though they do mobile shredding all over the valley. Wish there were more options available to get shredding done cheaply.
