Dr. Bloemker had the WORST bedside manner I have EVER seen in a physician. He told me to «just stop talking», and «please don’t describe the problem you are having, if I don’t see anything in your eye it doesn’t matter». After seeing a neuro-​ophthalmologist, I also discovered that he also gave me the wrong diagnosis. He still has the old school physician mentality, absolutely no compassion at all! Very rude to his patients, I am not the first to say this.

Very disappointed. My 89 year old mother-​in-​law had an appointment with Dr. Yanik. I called to find the location as she couldn’t remember. I called 15 minutes before appointment but was on hold for almost 15 minutes. I found the location and told the receptionist we were on our way. She asked if we would be there by 11 since the appointment was 10:45. I said we are trying but I had a hard time finding the location as 2^nd st doesn’t go thru. When I arrived I called again. The gal said we would have to wait since we were late. So up the elevator we went. We waited about 15 min then were asked to fill out some papers. My mother-​in-​law asked how long. She was told it shouldn’t be long. About 15 minutes later, the gal said she was sorry but the doctor went to lunch so we could come back in an hour and a half. I asked «Do you mean the doctor knew he had a patient and he went to lunch?» She said yes. We left without scheduling another appoint.

After YEARS of suffering from Dry Eyes, Dr. Yanik has solved my problem. He is a wonderful doctor and I can not say enough good things about him other than «If you have dry eyes, do not waste anytime, go to him immediately and do everything he tells you to do. And I mean everything.» He knows what he is talking about and can relate. And yes, I agree with the other reviewer, Craig. He opens the door himself and you will know without a doubt that he is ready to see you. I have never had to wait for him. He has called me back very promptly. He has addressed all my concerns. And he makes me laugh. I could go on but if you need a good eye doctor, just go.

I saw Dr. G. Yanik today for the first time. My daughter scratched my Left Cornea and I was in pain and needed help. Before I get to the professional level with which I was treated, I have to discuss the way I was greeted by DR. YANIK HIMSELF and not an MA. The door flew open and a big smile with a booming voice called me back. NOW I work with MD’s all day everyday and THIS let me know I was in for a change. A good change. He took me to the room for our exam and walked right in… no «wait here», he helped me and had a GREAT chair side manner. IF that was not enough. i got home and was in pain so I called in. Dr. Yanik said «I’ll wait here for you… come back now». I walked back in and he was there at the door to work on me a second time in under an hour. I dare you to have a bad experience with him
