Ali Mosharrafa, MD

Dr. Ali Mosharrafa has been wonderful throughout my experience. I have breast cancer at the age of 43 and opted for a double mastectomy. In meeting with breast surgeons, mammogram technicians, oncologists, breast cancer counsellors and other breast cancer patients I heard several negative and scary stories about what was to come. There are many plastic surgeons here in AZ but very few will still do breast reconstruction for those like myself who need it. The first time I went to Mosharrafa plastic surgery the staff was so warm, smiley and inviting. They made me feel comfortable at a time when I was at my most vulnerable. Scared because I had cancer and nervous about whether or not my body would be disfigured to the point that I would not want to wear a swimsuit to play with my 5 year old in the pool. Dr. Mosharrafa made me feel calm, strong and ready to take on this next part of my journey. He was very honest about complications that can take place and let me know that each case is different and he will do everything in his power to give me the best results. I have since had the double mastectomy surgery and when he unwrapped the bandages for the first time I was so pleasantly surprised how great I looked. I was expecting a mess but it looks normal. I have been seeing him one to two times a week to fill my spacers and he is always on time, friendly and concerned about me. I am almost done with the fills and after radiation Dr. Mosharrafa will do surgery to complete my reconstruction. I can’t express how grateful I am to have found him and his team. If you are considering using a plastic surgeon look no further you have found THE ONE in Ali Mosharrafa.

Dr. Ali Mosharrafa and his staff are the BEST! I had breast reconstruction and had many appointments with Dr. Ali. I was treated so professionally by his staff. Never felt like a «name» on a sign-​in sheet (they don’t even have a sign-​in sheet). You are called by name from your first visit. Every appointment was on time — no waiting. I was kept informed throughout the entire process and my results were great. I highly recommend him!

Had surgery four weeks ago with dr ali!!! The best experience I have ever had with a medical office… everyone from the front desk to the nurses who took care of me in the surgery center were beyond my exceptions. And dr ali is the BEST ever, as well as being kind and caring. The work he did on me far passed my exceptions. My scarring after four weeks is minimal, not one complication, and minimal pain. He has changed my life!!!

I was referred to Dr. Mosharrafa by my surgeon for breast reduction surgery. I was impressed by his bedside manner and the office staff seemed very professional and friendly. I told Dr. M. that is was important that he understand what I wanted from the surgery (small breasts) because my insurance was paying for it and I have had friends tell me go smaller as you tend to «grow» as you get older. I cut out pictures, bought a size 36C bra, and I spoke with the surgery nurse to let her know how I felt. I was told by Dr. M in my consultation «I hear you loud and clear».
I ended up going from a 36DDD to a 36DD. I still have groves in my shoulders, neck pain and told Dr. M how disappointed I was.
Long story short, don’t use him if you know what you want, he will do what only what he wants and disregard the feelings of the patient. His response to me was to redo the surgery and charge me $ 6,000.00 (a discount he said).
I think if you are going to use Dr. M for a breast augmentation, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I was referred to Dr. Mosharrafa by a friend at the gym. Turned out that several people at the gym that I go to had seen him, and they all loved him! He is amazing. His office staff is amazingly friendly and courteous, and Dr. Mosharrafa is professional while being warm and friendly as well. I felt like I got THE BEST care from him as well as from the anesthesiologist that he used. He required numerous follow up appointments (all included in the cost of the procedure) to make sure that I was healing properly and was very cautious about letting me do certain activities after the surgery until he was sure that I was completely healed. I was thrilled with the results — much better than other doctor’s work that I have seen — and I have gotten many compliments (once people know that I had surgery — most can’t even tell because it looks so good!). I don’t think that I could have had a better doctor or staff. I was beyond impressed, and despite the fact that I had to drive a long way to get to his office, I would never consider using another cosmetic surgeon! I would give him 10 stars if I could!
