I have an issue with my HOA. I spoke to their receptionist twice on the phone. She is very friendly but her promises to actually help me were empty. I have contacted their accounting department twice, leaving detailed messages both times unable to reach a person on the phone. At this point, I am waiting, and hoping in the dark, as to whether I will ever get the money from my HOA refund problem resolved. I feel they don’t listen to their clients and I agree with other reviews. They are not there to support the homeowner.

I have been an owner in a community that is currently managed by APM. In the 8 years that I have lived here, 2 other management companies have terminated their contract with our community. APM was hired a year and a half ago and had a lot to clean up. I must say that I am very impressed with the level of service they provide as well as the communication that is sent to the homeowners. Every time I call, I get professional responses and their staff is always helpful.

so now the pool was to be refinished. 30 days late. no clean up after the work and I cut my foot on the broken tile lying around. ALSO still no pool furniture. the stuff in place everyone cuts themselves on. the maintenance guy makes 20 and hour, works 20 hours and just cleans the laundry. I reported downed tree branches and damaged lighting a week ago… NOTHING. this place is horrible!

The only reason I am giving it a one star is because I had to click on one to start a review. I called in to make a complaint this afternoon and they hung up on me twice. They listen to only board members and ignore the people who pay their salaries each month with our dues. I asked to speak to the owner Eric and he never called back. These guys are the reason HOA’s get a bad name. Stay away from this organization. Horrible Customer Service and very unprofessional…

My employer owns a condo at one of the properties they manage and the unit has some ac issues that we have been trying to get fixed. I called up APM to see if they could recommend a company to look at the units, but were of no help. They just gave me the name of the industrial broiler company. That however isn’t the reason for the bad review. (On Thursday) After getting a company to come out and look at the ac, they suggested that we get a plumbing company to come out and look at the valves to see if they just need to get fixed. So we had a plumbing company scheduled and ready to come out, i called up the APM office and spoke to Kathy(extension 56) to get the 48 hour notice which i was told we’d need, so instead of being able to work on things on Friday(too short of notice) we had it scheduled for today(Monday 10am). we spoke to the plumber again who told us to make sure that there was going to be someone on site to help shut off the water. I called back up Kathy, she told me that there was going to be a maintenance guy on site to help get the water shut off. — Sounded perfect– However, today we had the plumbing company out there, they couldn’t get the water shut off because it’s a more complex system then the maintenance guy or the plumber could turn off and it needed to be handled by the property managements industrial people. so we had to reschedule everyone to come back out on Wednesday at 10am(to give another 48 hours notice). I called up the associated property management and spoke to Kathy and asked her to please verify that they were sending out their guys on Wednesday, she said yes they were. I then called up the company that she previously had told me does the industrial side of things, and they said they had no record of anything scheduled. I then called back up Kathy and asked her what the company was. She told me that it was Courtesy plumbing. i asked if i could please have the number just to verify and make sure all the ducks were in a row. She said«James» the property manager set everything up and then quickly just transferred me to him. When James got on the line I asked him if i could just get the number to verify so the same thing that happened today doesn’t happen on Wednesday. He then proceeded to yell at me. In an elevated tone he told me that it was my fault because i sent out an air conditioning person and not a plumber and that now he had to pay money to get a plumber out there because we didn’t tell them what was going on in the first place. after he yelled all of this at me, i just stated that i was just trying to make sure everything was going to be fine for this Wednesday and was concerned because the place Kathy told me you guys used had no idea of the appointment. He then, once again yelling, told me he was using his own company Courtesy plumbing. I then just asked for the phone number to call and verify. He told me to and i quote«go look it up your damn self» and hung up on me. Now i don’t know if he’s just having a bad day. Or maybe that is the way that he talks to everyone, but I’m pretty sure that talking to someone like that isn’t the right way to do business. Not to mention hanging up on someone who is just trying to get a problem solved is extremely rude as well. Either way this is not the way any business should run, especially when it is THEIR job to help people. If you don’t want to help and solve problems then don’t do a job where that is the requirement.

A follow up to 8⁄2013 review. APM services were terminated by my HOA in the spring. This was a process that began by the previous board in the fall of 2013 and was executed by a newly elected slate of officers in 2014. Nuff said!

Another great HOA Management company. Tom and Trent run a good company, and all the contacts I’ve had with them have been pleasant. They run the community where I live, and I’ve never had a single complaint. They listen to homeowner’s concerns and address them immediately. They interface very well with their board of directors and liason smoothly with any and all vendors. Kudos to you guys!
