I had a very good experience here. I went in for a new reciever and backup camera combo for my suburu outback. After a pricing/​quoteing misunderstanding Jose (manager) was able to make everything I wanted fit in my budget and another employee i belive matthew drove all the way to their south east location to pic up a part to get my install done that day. While the 1 dollar install is misleading, I am happy with the finished product. The installer killed it definitely felt the subie love.

Let me just say Jose was incredible!!! I was having issues with my stereo and Bluetooth and he assisted me as soon as I walked in. He took great care of me!!! Be sure to ask for him. He’s knowledgable and efficient! Thanks Jose!!! You’re amazing!!!

I won’t go anywhere else for any car audio needs! Every one of the employees is friendly and helpful. They really know what they’re doing, prices are reasonable, and the staff is out of this world! After they complete a job, they sit in your car and listen to it with you to make sure you’re pleased. I had my radio put in and came back about a week later for speakers. When the shop guys noticed I was back, they stopped what they were doing and came out to make sure everything was working and I was still pleased with their work, of course I was because I was back for more! When you’re waiting for your car to get done, you can stand around and talk with the guys or you van wait in their convenient little lounge area. Nice atmosphere, clean place… I feel like this review says a lot as well because I’m a female and normally wouldn’t feel so comfortable in such a male-​dominated environment. All in all, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Have bought and had installations done at this Audio Express over several years and keep coming back because I have always been treated well, installations are well done and prices are very good. Yesterday I had a Viper alarm installed on my new truck, great pricing and install went well. Once again a happy customer.

I went in about a month ago to have speakers and a radio put in. All the guys there were super awesome. They told me honest info about what I needed in my car. It was a little pricey but the quality is 110% Ian and Matt were especially awesome, they both called me after I left just to make sure I was enjoying the speakers and radio. One of the other guys called as well but I can’t remember his name. I would definitely go back anytime!

I normally don’t take the time to review when things go right since I tend to believe that is what is supposed to occur with any business. However, I wanted to write a review since we initially had an issue with the ignition switch and electrical after an install of a stereo and alarm but it was resolved by the manager to my amazement.
At first I thought we were going to have to battle it out to have Audio Express review and repair this issue since when we came in the car obviously started but when the install was done, it did not without having to put the car in neutral. Came at this with a readiness to pounce but to my amazement the Manager scheduled a review of the install in a few days so that he could have an electrician present since they at first indicated it could just be a faulty ignition switch. I began the rant about how that could have magically gone bad during the install all on its own and was meet by «you are right» but to be certain, lets us have that reviewed for you”. When all was said and done, got a call to come get the car and it was fixed at no extra cost. I appreciate when an effort is made to do the right thing so I wanted to write this review to applaud the Manager for doing exactly that. I see a lot of bad reviews and wanted to at least note that in my case, it was handled professional and I was pleased by that. Can’t speak to the other bad reviews but at least wanted to give a solid acknowledgement that either the company has improved in the last month in regards to their handling of any issues or could be I was just the lucky one — hope it is the later.

Not happy! I bought an auxiliary cord that I was expecting to pay maybe 10 $ for the only one the carried was almost 30 $ I live about an hour away. I installed the cord, and not 3 days later it shorted out. I went back 2 months later. I understand that’s not right away, but I also think a 27 $ cord should work for more than 8 weeks. The 5 $ cord I used to replace their inferior product is working great still. Their customer service was not existent… they certainly lost me as a future customer, and anyone that may ask my opinion…

Matt is very professional and gets the work done in a very great fashion. Even while they are usually slammed he finds a way to meet ur needs and makes it a great experience. 3 thumbs up!!!

I recently purchased a BMW and didn’t realize how much of a nightmare it was when it comes to installing an aftermarket car stereo in it, so I took it to a local car audio shop and was denied service because of the iDrive feature on my car. Thankfully, when I called Audio Express, they were eager to help me solve my issue and were able to find a way to integrate my audio and video media devices seamlessly with my iDrive. They were informative, helpful, and even offered suggestions to make the finished product even more seamless.
I ended up using them again a couple weeks later and their manager was really helpful in offering me discounts on their products and working with me on a fair price because they valued my business. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

On a whim a year and a half ago my buddy and I decided we wanted VIPER remote starts in our vehicles. He called Audio Express and got a verbal deal on two units installed. While at Audio Express we started talking about subwoofer systems and flush with cash we inquired but were quoted a price that we both thought was a bit more than we wanted to spend. Then Josh the manager asked the salesman what we were planning, overheard us say it was too expensive and after he clicked his way across the computer screen the price for two remote starts and two subwoofer systems was dramatically changed… deal!
It took several hours to install the systems to discover that during the install in my car an electrical short circuit disabled my headlight switch (2010 Ford FLEX). It required a visit to the dealership which involved a rental car for two days, but true to his word Josh handled everything.
Last week I returned because the dub-​amp quit working. It’s under factory warranty.
The replacement amp was back ordered and I am from Flagstaff. As it turns out I had to return to Phoenix today and called Audio Express. The amp has been replaced. Josh remembered the headlight switch fiasco and gave me express service.

I only used these guys for a fast service /​tweak — Josh, the manager was awesome. No fuss, no problem. There was a minor problem with a bypass switch from my installer (at a different Audio Express location). My Bluetooth wasn’t working and I couldn’t figure out why off the manual. They could not have been nicer.
I had trepidation on going in here based on the reviews; they were unfounded. They were kind and fast and hassle free. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

INCOMPETENT, INCOMPETENT, INCOMPETENT!!! Went in At Least 8 times to get my stereo issue (s) resolved.
Josh, the manager, said The Last time I went in, «…Your vehicle is the reason the stereo makes buzzing sound…». Okay, so Why did they recommend installing this Kenwood stereo then… The first time I went in they ‘Forgot’ to hook door speakers; Another time they Did Not wire system to steering wheel– And I Paid $ 100 Extra for This!!!
Tried, as you see, Many, Many times with the Manager. Well, I didn’t stop there. I EVEN talked with James, the District Manager during one of the issues– I think it was issue 6. He said Josh would Definitely fix it and even come to my home to fix issue. James promises Failed!
Well, people, I even wrote to the owner of Audio Express — THEY NEVER E-​MAILED BACK!!!
BUYER BEWARE!!!

Unfortunately, I will never use this audio express again. Granted it has been 7 – 8 months since my install of a Parrot Blue tooth system but I recently noticed that my headliner is falling and damaged. I took it to the dealer and was told that the clip inside had been damaged and that this could have only happened during the install. Audio Express denies any liability and will not help me to get this fixed. In fact, I had to call them back to get a response from the store manager, after I visited the store with documentation from the dealership.

The only reason this place even gets 1 star is because the guys were relatively friendly and helpful. The 1 star is purely for pricing… well and for selection. Their car stereo selection is rather bare consisting of 1 wall with about 15 stereos…3 of which were for boats only.
Clearly the $ 1 install is an exaggeration and I expected some hidden charges, but I didn’t expect to be scammed. I was able to find a better unit online for a cheaper price AND the parts to install were free INCLUDING a DIY guide. Also some wiring kit they charged me $ 100 for (which I was told was a discount from $ 130) I was able to get online for $ 64 and BestBuy woulda charged me $ 52. All in all a unit listed at $ 130 cost $ 300 out the door and to make matters worse you can’t even make a damn install appointment. You just show up and hope there aren’t too many cars in front of you! This place is a real joke and I hope that I can keep a few other suckers from making the same mistake I did by not researching this place first!!!

I took my car in to have it hooked at because i was starting to have problems with my system They wanted $ 40 JUST to take a look at my system. I laughed and walked right out the door.
Can suck a fat one audio express I will never spend my $ in one of your stores and I will recommend to all my friends to NEVER go there :)

They told me «if you can get a better price on car stereo we match it,» so I downloaded it from the internet & brought it in. «Let us call them & get to the bottom of this!» «Well these guys are not an authorized Pioneer Dealer, they use refurbished equipment, and your gonna get taken on line!» After ½ hour of argument this is were we ended up:
«We’ll match the price, but it’s a $ 110 for installation!»
I understand this is a business & there is a bottom line, but to flat out lie & pressure sell your customers, and lets not forget the upselling!
You are unscrupulous!

Home of the One Dollar My Ass. is what they should call it.
I was here about five years ago and purchased my stereo along with Sirius satellite radio (big Stern fan).
After pricing it all together, it came to about $ 280-​$ 300 with everything. They let me know it will take a couple hours to install. Since I work near the place, I just ask them to call me when it’s done.
I get the call and they tell me its done. and the total bill is upwards of $ 550. I flip out and that’s when they let me know about alllll the extra parts and fees they charge you for putting tons of crap in.
They will rip you off. If you want good quality stuff, go to

These guys are crooks! Do not take your car there, they charged me more for my head unit (kenwood usb deck) than any other place. I said «what the heck» they are gonna install it for a dollar. They broke my kick panel and lied to me about it, their manager is a complete @$$hole. I spend $ 700 for Viper alarm with Kenwood deck, left that place pissed off. They work in a hurry and break up your car, should of bought the alarm and deck from

Biggest rip off ever! $ 1 install, HA! They forgot to mention the over $ 70-​$ 90 in «parts» that they’re going to charge you. I went in and told them that I wanted to be out the door while spending under $ 200. And guess what, his first quote was on a $ 159 head unit…$ 230 after the install. So explain to me what part of «I want to be out the door spending LESS than $ 200?» So they get an F in customer service… for not listening to the customer! After that, they showed me a $ 109 head unit, and that was going to be just over $ 200 out the door. What a f#$%ing joke. I’m not spending over $ 90 after I buy a $ 109 head unit. You guys are horrible! Go to Sun Valley Stereo, where I got a Sony CDX-​GT520 head unit for $ 192 out the door! The head units I was quoted on at Audio Express weren’t even close to the quality of the Sony I have now. Good luck and happy hunting… just not here!

Car stereos are a scam but if you must — they do it quick. The one dollar install is a scam they always make you buy 60 dollars in parts that are «necessary» but they were done in 40 minutes and I can listen to my radio and IPOD fin my truck for 245 bucks…
