If you crave those homemade Russian family recipes, you can find the ingredients here… They also have some FANTASTIC frozen and refrigerated groceries that you can’t find anywhere else. I drive here to get the quart sized bags of vareniki(Russian version of pirogi) which i think they make in the commercial kitchens next door. They have cabbage filled, cheese and potato filled, and even sweet cheese with currants. They have about 6 different kinds of blintzes including cheese, and cherry. If you don’t like commercially prepared or deli made blintzes, they have all the stuff you need to make your own. They even have ready made blini! The shelves are lined with hard to find items like boil in bag kasha, barley or millet. They have bags of various sizes of kasha and bins of imported candies. My grandfather used to bring home a whole smoked whitefish which he would share with me for lunch. They have it! There is an entire row of imported or locally baked treats and breads. The prices are very good, and the family who own the place are very helpful. It’s a great little old world deli.
