BARC

BARC is a non-​profit organization run by volunteers dedicated to helping homeless beagles find forever homes. I’ve adopted both of my beagles from BARC. I will always be thankful to them for bringing me two of my best friends. My life is richer because of their efforts. I know I didn’t change the world by adopting rescue dogs, but I know it changed their world.
BARC takes in abused dogs and dogs from shelters. The animals are put in «foster homes» (i.e. volunteers’ homes) who take care of the dogs until a forever home is found.
The dogs are spayed/​neutered and receive all the required shots. A volunteer from BARC stops by a potential adopter’s home for a «home visit» and usually brings the beagle you are thinking about adopting. BARC isn’t looking to unload these dogs onto just anyone, they want to find a perfect match for both the adopter and the dog.
BARC is a wonderful organization that serves a segment of our population that can’t necessarily take care of themselves: pets. BARC does great work and is a 5 star organization in every way.
