I was very unimpressed with their services. I was recommended this company by a bridal consultant, and they had reasonable prices, so I figured… why not?
When Rachel first booked me, they said they were available, we were good etc. Then she contacts me a week later and says that another bride requested more stylists, so she actually CANT accommodate me on my wedding day. Needless to say, I totally freaked out. I started scrounging for referrals and calling other artists. Then the owner sends an email, mentioning my wedding date as some date in March, not my actual wedding date. Turns out she had booked me under the completely wrong name and date??? Uh what?
Well, Rachel apologizes profusely and offers me a slight discount on my trial fees for the mix up (which come to $ 150 collectively). I chalk it up to a simple mix up, and remember that we’re all human and proceed to book my trial runs.
My makeup at trial turned out quite nice, nothing impressive, but certainly nice… minus the incredibly cheap and fake lashes they used. My hair trial, on the other hand, was a NIGHTMARE!
The first woman that showed up was terrible. I showed her a picture of a soft, romantic, loose and low updo. She gives me this slicked back, knotted braided deal. Uh… I didn’t ask for, or show you any pictures with braids… so I voice my dissatisfaction and she acts disgruntled, dismantles the whole thing and tries again. She does LITERALLY the exact same hairstyle without the braid. I show her the picture a third time and explain again what I am looking for. The next updo she produces leaves me looking like a woman with an eighties perm in a messy bun that just endured a wind storm. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I actually teared up a little at this point. She then says that we just can’t see eye to eye, and that I needed to talk to Rachel about it.
I tell Rachel, she sends another girl. This girl at least produces something akin to the picture I showed her, but it was still messy, incomplete, and left exposed bobby pins. So I ended up throwing away my money on this endeavor.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS: Don’t even waste your time with this company. Their stylists are inexperienced, untalented and inadequate… albeit very sweet… but sweet does not make a stylist! DONT BOOK! The owner contacted me when I decided not to book with a one line response, «I apologize for your experience.» Gee… thanks…
