Small little ice cream parlor that has a slightly vintage look to it. They share restrooms with the restaurant next door and they have a wall filled with old cassette tapes! Their ice cream is very flavorful and creamy! I tried the chocolate and the peanut butter! If you love peanut butter i would highly recommend u try it here, it is the best i have had yet!

Churn baby churn! I’m that person that HAS to have something sweet after dinner. And Churn has a little something for everybody. Cool little spot nestled in the center of some amazing restaurants, so it’s a perfect place to hit up after dinner. They have ice cream, cookies, shakes, option to make a cookie sandwich, and lots of old school candy novelties you’ll probably remember from when you were a kid. I’m a huge ice cream fan and I’d say their Caramel Cashew is probably the one that stands out the most. The cookies are also great. Soft, sweet, and chewy just how I like em. And I can’t forget about the Fruit Loops bar!

This place is really good! Their ice cream is super tasty. I love how you can build your own cookie ice cream sandwich. The cookies they bake are so yummy! I would literally buy a pack of them if they sold them. Their customer service is good they are very friendly and helpful. Their menu is good they have already built sundaes or if you like to build your own you can as well. During the summer they can get very busy at night. The place has a lot of character too it looks like a 50s ice cream shop. Overall great place for ice cream with anyone.

It takes a lot for me to give a place five stars but this place is totally worth it. I feel like no one knows about this place and I get so excited to introduce this place to everyone’s mouth. The ice cream is some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The flavors change every time so I can’t recommend one but I can promise all of them are good! By the way … The staff at churn… AMAZING!

Churn offers tasteful, albeit, normcore ice creams served by two of the friendliest, most engaging ice cream scooper deities I have ever encountered. In a nutshell, two enthusiastic dudes greeted my mom and I with, «we love giving out samples!» and it took me fourteen seconds to decide that I want these to be the only two people I have to interact with on any given day. So while I’m sampling everything and carefully trying not to mouth the words«I love you,» fantastic ice cream scooper #2 tells me that Vietnamese coffee is the obvious pairing choice for mint cookie. To my dismay, I inform him that caffeine at this moderately late hour is dangerous. He tells me it’s decaffeinated. I make a small animal noise. The perfectly paired mint cookie and Vietnamese coffee in a(slightly stale) waffle cone with a side of homemade, excellent, unusually light hot fudge was real good. However, by factoring in impossibly charismatic service, the experience goes from real good to dopesauce, making Churn one of my favorite ice cream spots in Phoenix.

Came around noon on a weekday after lunch at postino(it’s literally across the street!). Luckily a small line formed after I had arrived. Cute décor and a variety of candy. However, my main focus the ice cream. There wasn’t a flavor that stood out to me since I enjoy the more unique flavors and this establishment provides a the more traditional ones. I ended up going with the s’mores. Now, parents, if you’re about to give this to your kids, be prepared for some really hyper kids. They top off the graham crackers and chocolate ice cream with a generous scooping of fluffy marshmallow that they torch to give it the campfire s’mores effect. Great visual appeal but the concoction was a bit too sweet for me with the marshmallow so I could of just done away without it. The chocolate ice cream itself was creamy and delicious. Portion size was generous. Next time, I’ll just have to convince myself to get a scoop of ice cream. Oh! And they make their caramel in house. You can buy a piece at the front in a small basket for 50 cents. It’s pretty good!

Fun flavors and helpful staff make this small AZ ice cream joint a winner in my book. I tried a few flavors, but fell for the Strawberry Rhubarb Sorbet on a sunny sunday in mid november. The place can get cramped, so be aware of that. It has an old soda fountain type feel, which I loved. I’m not often in Phoenix, but if I go back I’d probably check out Churn to see what new flavors they have. Stay Cheerful ;)

*Dreamland fantasy retro ice cream experience* Step inside churn from the midtown Phoenix sunshine and absorb the lively friendly atmosphere taking any kid(or kid at heart) to a happy place! Homemade ice cream, cookies, waffle cones, pretzel cones??? I love thee!!! I’m all about the butter pecan right now but only while Vietnamese coffee and I take a break. Peanut butter and jelly was one of my favorite features!!! I don’t even count churn as calories because of the inner joy I feel supporting this business and the bliss I feel while eating my ice cream.

The first time I came here in the summer, the line was out the door with approximately 30 people. I took this to be a good sign and vowed to return during a slower time of day. I came back last week during a heavy rainstorm and sure enough, there was little to no wait. The ice cream server was super nice and let me try as many flavors as I wanted. The candy corn flavor was seasonal but I didn’t really like it, it tasted too sweet and seemed really artificial. However, I really like the cookies and mint(tasted like Girl Scouts thin mint) and the buttered pecan. I saw a few people with the s’more sundaes which looked super inviting, I shall try it next time! The rest of the shop was outfitted like a candy shop! A great place to take care of your sweet tooth cravings!

We had a stop in Phx and the only place I had bookmarked in Phx was this ice cream place. Very glad we checked this place out. The service was amazing and they were super helpful! I got the cookie ice cream sandwich and the cookies were nice and soft. They allowed us to test taste a few ice cream and I chose Cookie and mint. Delicious. They had some interesting ice cream flavors so make sure you try them! Very cute store and amazing service!

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of the city. There is an oasis of plants all around it and the oasis known as heavenly ice cream. Parking can be a little difficult but I can see why. Many people want to come here and it shows. The interior looked like a cute old candy shop. They had some interesting flavors and I liked that they had a mix of sundaes, floats and more. Our waitress was amazing. She gave us suggestions about how to cater our treats to use and was prompt with making them. She even hand churned my ice cream to be like a shake. It was amazing. I would definitely get the Hocus Pocus again. Definitely try this place out, you will not regret it!

Such a cute store, I enjoyed my ice cream here on sunny October afternoon. I was looking for ice cream place and this was the closest with good reviews. It was a bit difficult to find and parking space was limited. They have a few different kind of cones including waffle and pretzels. I didn’t really look too much for flavor as the first thing I saw was Vietnamese coffee and my mind was set. I always enjoy drinking strong Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, so why not? If I look what else they might have, I may be standing there forever. Vietnamese coffee flavor ice cream was good, I enjoyed it. Well… I had better homemade ice cream somewhere else before but their ice cream was very good. They have small tables and chairs outside in the back. Very small area but most people don’t stay there too long anyway. Price was where it should be. I may come back if I am in the area and craving for ice cream.

Phoenix should be food porn capital of the west, sheesh. Not only can you find pretzel cones here(yes you read that right. Salty to compliment your sweet treat.), but you can also find adult ice cream. No, that is not just chocolate in that ice cream… mmm mmm. Churn is owned by the same people who run Federal Pizza, Joyride, and one other similar creative venture all within the same block. Whoever these folks are, they’re doing it right. I’ve got it so bad I’m already planning my next Phoenix Foodcation. Not only is the ice cream slow churned and to die for, but the whole atmosphere is really unique. I found a wall with cassette tape wallpaper… of actual cassette tapes. Not paper. Picnic benches outside are in the shade with misters going at all times, because Arizona. Very laid back vibe, perfect for chilling with friends, or for the kids and the dog.

No matter how many times I make a churn visit, I love it every time! Took my family from out of state here. We ended up getting single scoops on their free sugar cones in the flavors; Butter Pecan, Chai and Vietnamese Coffee. The ice cream was so creamy and definitely tasted spot on with what was advertised. The service and atmosphere here is so great, the workers are always so friendly and happy. Love the retro toys and candies as well as the patio out back and out front. It was a bit hot so it was a shame the misters weren’t on, our scoops of ice cream were melting so fast in the Phoenix heat! They have two spacious bathrooms available as well.

So glad my fellow Unilocal Elite cousin was able to take me to some yummy places in phx! Went here for dessert on a Monday night, around 10-ish, somewhat close to closing, this place was still busy with the back patio area pretty full… A small ice cream shop with tons of candies and toys displayed that got my kids attention… They didn’t have a huge ice cream selection, but enough unique flavors to satisfy different preferences. In contrast, there’s tons of toppings to choose from… I was planning to get an ice cream sandwich, but ended up getting a scoop of cookie and mint with toasted fluff and a cookie on the side… The ice cream was soft and creamy, sweet and minty… Very yum… The toasted fluff was pretty good, but the combination ended up being a bit to sweet for me! And I was hoping for more of a toasted marshmallow taste… The cookie(kitchen sink), surprisingly was not too sweet, but soft and chewy… Yummy! It’s a large cookie, imagine the size of an ice cream sandwich using these cookies! My kid got Madagascar vanilla, it had a real nice vanilla taste! My cousin got her scoop in a pretzel cone. A pretzel cone? That’s just nuts to me! Hehe totally unique… The back patio area with tables, chairs, and benches is pretty cozy and chill. So glad I went here!

HOLYCONE-OLI! I am addicted to Churn. It is the perfect ice cream shop with perfect ice cream. A traditional ice cream cone with 2 scoops of ice cream is all I need here. I have had the pleasure of trying the ice cream sandwich with fresh cookies and a little freezie, which are both amazing. These hot nights are perfect for a quick stop to the ice cream shop, they will subside any craving immediately! Whether its the coffee flavor, mint cookie, Madagascar vanilla, coconut, chocolate, should I keep going… I am so glad I came across Churn, it is one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I just love that ice cream :)

OHMYGLOB! I went here for my first time on a Saturday night and there was a long line to get in and order! Hm, must mean this place is good. At least I hope so! I ordered a s’mores sundae(chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, butter graham’s, and toasted marshmallow fluff) but I switched out the chocolate ice cream for Madagascar vanilla. It was AMAZING! And huge! They give you so much! I’m glad I traded out for vanilla ice cream because the chocolate would make it even more sweet and rich. My dad ordered a strawberry shortcake sundae but I didn’t try it. I love Churn and would definitely love to return!

I reaaaalllyyyyy wanted to love this place but I didn’t. After we had our dinner for joycies birthday, we walked across the street for ice cream cuz what’s better than ice cream and pizza?! There was a line which I always take as a good sign. When we got inside the shop, it was super cute with a bit of a nostalgic feel with their old style candy and toys. My favorite thing about ice cream shops is that heavenly smell of fresh waffle cones but sadly this place didn’t smell like anything. I tried their coconut ice cream and I can’t begin to say how disgusting it was! Gag! So I settled for vanilla bean and a waffle cone. The ice cream was good. Nothing special and same with the waffle cone. The best part about this place was their little patio and sharing the night with such amazing folks made me forget the mediocrity of this overrated place.

«When I’m no longer rapping, I want to open up an ice cream parlor and call myself Scoop Dogg.» ― Snoop Dogg(Duh!) When I think of childhood birthday parties, they were always filled with pizza and ice cream. Well, not MY birthday parties because you know us Asians. We’re more of the noodles for longevity and an egg type… Wow, my childhood is heartbreak. Anywho, so on my big milestone birthday, that’s what I decided to do: Pizza across the street and Churn’s for ice cream. YASGIRL! Churn is stinkin’ adorable with their retro décor, old school candies, and I love their back patio. It was a beautiful night and as I sat there looking at their twinkling lights with some of my bestest and closest friends, eating a single scoop of creamy decadent butter pecan in a waffle cone, I was extremely thankful and happy. Thank you, Churn, for helping me create some great memories! Glad I didn’t taste that coconut one Meghan L. and Kazi H. was SO fond of. ;)
