A few years ago my boyfriend and I found an adorable little abandoned puppy in bad shape who was left at a park next to an extremely busy highway (in 90 degree summer heat– with a full, thick, over grown matted coat). We wasted no time taking him to Defenders of Animal Rights where we knew he’d be taken care of. I love that this is a no kill shelter. And not to mention hands down the cleanest I’ve ever been to in the Baltimore area. Everyone is extremely friendly and they do wonderful work for animals here. I think about that little puppy often and wished we could’ve kept him (he was so sweet!) When we are ready to adopt our next pet we will definitely come here. Thank you Defenders of Animal Rights! :)
