This place is cool. Small, lots of character. I enjoy the baristas here, they are great for conversation. Not like most baristas. The only thing I wish is for Demi to be open a little bit longer! My daughter loves to explore this spot, lots of interesting things to be found. Love the movies played!

I stop in for a malted mocha 2 or 3 times a week, my roommate is hooked on the butter coffee, & they have by far the best cold brew in town– mellow & smooth, w/a mean caffeine punch! They have lots of dairy alternatives for the vegan/lactose intolerant crowd and breakfast/lunch sandwiches for a quick bite when you’re running late to work! Good coffee, lots of variety, friendly staff & regulars, everything you could want in your neighborhood coffee shop.

No frills, hipster vibe, solid coffee. We rolled in here on a Saturday morning after sleeping in the Airbnb out back. They had movies playing on a VCR and a fun selection of magazines. There are only a handful of seats, so it’s more of an in-and-out spot than a place to stay and work or hang. Our americanos were decent – not our favorite, but we’d come back again.

Probably not what your looking for. My coffee was fine, they didn’t have hazelnut or white chocolate, lots of flavors are too trendy for this place. Good customer service, clean cute place. If you’re looking for someplace better than Starbucks this is not it.

Awesome place. It’s very small but that’s what’s great about it. The owner is very friendly… he actually cares about his business and his customers. Excellent coffee and tea and the breakfast sandwich is is excellent. There’s free art gallery next door to boot! Please drop by and enjoy a beverage.

My favorite spot for coffee and thai tea! They stick to local products, offer an impressive array of options including the latest coffee fads(like butter coffee), and keep frequent customer cards at the register! I haven’t ate anything here but always feel welcome and leave satisfied. My favorite drink is the Thai tea with almond milk! Their iced toddy and lattes are delicious as well. If you do stop in check out the shop next door and the art displayed throughout the place!

Even before I walked in I was met with the inviting tones of Dylan wafting out of the quaint shop. The guy who greeted me was very friendly, gladly obliging my request for a sample of their cold brew — which was delicious and came from a local roaster. I asked him where the donuts in the case were from, and he, with unabashed honesty said, «Safeway.» With so many local bakers, why Safeway? Oh well, can’t win ‘em all. He also added they had nothing on the menu save the egg sandwich. Needless to say I was not enthused at the prospect of eating there.

Met Breeze Marcus at Demi today. Had a nice talk with Jimmy, the man at the coffee bar. He served me a cup of prickly pear cactus tea from Cartel Roasting. Good stuff even without sweetening by agave nectar. My customer card is in the registry, a new installation is going up in The Hive Gallery. I plan to return in search of five stars and discover if Cartel can compete with Ozone of London. I’m looking for a local bean as good as Ozone’s.

Important stuff first: the coffee beans are roasted locally by Cartel and Xanadu, the toddy(cold brewed coffee) is perfect, the pour overs and the espresso pulls are done correctly and with care. The coffee game is strong here. In addition to standard café offerings, they also do Thai iced tea and Vietnamese-style sweet coffee. They will also make you an exclusive«Toddsmore» if you catch them at the right time. Worth noting is that the baristas are down-to-earth folks that won’t ridicule newcomers if they order something only found at chains. Something I’ve seen happen all to often at other spots. Now for the fun stuff: Located in a multi-use artist space The Hive, Demi is right in the front. The place is tiny, but there’s enough room for a few people to hang out or work on their laptops. The décor features local art and a small TV showing random VHS finds that the owners pick-up from thrift stores. Thankfully, the audio to the movies is off and instead music is played over the speakers. After coming here a few times a week for over a two month period, I’m happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a unique offering in the ever growing coffee options of downtown Phoenix.

This ‘demi’ coffee shop(petite, if you will) recently changed hands from The Mud Dauber/Lofi. Current management has made changes in both ambiance and menu. Note: they use organic dairy, setting the tone for their philosophy on all else served.
