I hadn’t been back since my last review in 2014. My son convinced me to try it again about 2 months ago. We have now been back 3 times. The service has improved tremendously. Each time we’ve been back they have been very attentive, fast, and friendly. My food was fresh and great, with the occasional hiccup but no one is perfect. The last time we went back they had renovated the place and it looks great. I think you have renewed my faith in you Denny’s!

There’s a range of quality among Denny’s restaurants. This one is at the high end for me. A family crisis reared up in west Phoenix at 7 a.m. Heading over we knew the final bit of resolution would be breakfast out. Where to go without driving a distance? Denny’s at 51st Ave and Indian School. There’s a corner of Tempe named Warner Ranch. It lacks a golf course, gates and gate guards to be one of those heaven on earth places desired by those craving a perfect suburban life. I once knew a Warner Ranch mother who laid awake nights fearing her child would die in its crib during a drive-by shooting. She came to mind as I watched the diverse humanity filling nearly every seat in this large place and the dominant language spoken was Spanish. I watched the hues of humanity enjoying children, grandchildren, each the other and the food. I remembered Mexico, in addtion to Spaniards conquering and pillaging the Native Mexicans, had French in their diversity, German Mennonites, Anglo-American Mormons and others settle there. Thered be no Curaçao if mideast brothers did not migrate to Mexico. Indeed, the bones of one of my distant grandfathers, murdered for his California gold by a going-home traveling buddy, lie in Mexico. I once knew a young Mexican mother in Warner Ranch, an electrical engineer, whose grandfather was a WWII Italian refugee to Guadalajara. I have a hard time believing individuals making sweeping general statements about the personal qualities of a segment of humankind. If you want to see the fruits of hard work, family values and what it takes to make the consumer economy roar like a tiger, stop by this Denny’s for a Friday or weekend breakfast. It could be illuminating. Meanwhile, expect decently fast, efficient service, coffee or water refilled at regular intervals, and food arriving in a timely way, hot and prepared well. That says lots about the crew working in a breakfast-slammed Denny’s. You’ll not find that in some other Denny’s around town. It would be illuminating to the Warner Ranch mother fearful of a drive-by or bicicle-by to see the hard working, loving, families with fears of their own. I doubt she’d consider traveling Indian School west of Grand Ave. If I saw her I’d promise, she and her family would be safe.

0 stars 6 Person walk out. Boss tried to buy us dinner. Sat down, no drinks after like 20 min. Giant huge waitress had like 5 tables come on. This seems to be a trend line in veges on eastern.

This has become a «nice» Denny’s, where the place is clean and pretty, the waitstaff are extremely pleasant, the coffee refills are frequent(and the coffee will put hair on your chest), napkins are offered generously, and things pretty much go well. I’m putting it at only 3 stars because in comparison to other places in the coffee shop/family diner world, Denny’s is reliable rather than exciting. It’s open at the crack of dawn so a person can tank up before early morning Walmart shopping, which is a point for«reliable.» The food is food. These were not the worst eggs I’ve ever had; they were not the best eggs. The sausage was a sausage. Whatever was supposed to be happening with the Rio Ranchero skillet happened, and it’s at least genuinely spicy. Prices outside the $ 2-$ 4-$ 6-$ 8 menu are heading upward to meet the breakfast prices of chi-chi eateries, while the quality is still staunchly middle-of-the-road — which is a chain-wide issue, not the fault of this Denny’s, but still a reason to make it a breakfast fall-back rather than a breakfast destination. I’d do this again because Walmart’s at its most bearable at 7:30 on Sunday morning, but it’s better with a coupon, and I won’t *not* search for more local and exciting alternatives.

I know it is Denny’s but still. Come on Denny you have competition for good cheap breakfasts nowadays. You used to have a reasonable priced, okay breakfast. What happened? I ate here on 6÷4÷13 and the coffee was cold, the eggs were ice cold and runny, the English Muffin was raw, not toasted at all and the fruit was actually spoiled.(brown bananas and sour, pruny, moldy grapes, WTH?) The bill was 10 dollars and change. OHMY! The server was nice but overworked. This is not the first time this location has had problems. We used to go here for our welcome back breakfast at school. It was bad. One time it took 1 hour to get my food and I got sick later on. YIKES.
