Everyone is so friendly here! Can’t say the same of the lady who works at Bell and 35th. Everyone at this location was kind and helpful.

Very efficient operation. The nice young lady pulled up the paint I needed on her tablet, I paid and a few minutes later I was out of there with my paint. Very impressed with their quick and courtesy service.

Very unfortunate customer service. Apparently it is not their policy to accept returns on unopened paint. This was not a custom mix either. So now we have a $ 50.00 can of unused paint. Crummy.

I just left the paint store and I’m literally still sitting in the parking lot because I’m so P-o’d. I went in there with a chip of paint and told them I needed a paint match. The guy said they could do it and I expressed to them that it had a hint of purple in the paint at my home I just picked up the paint and it is not even close to being the same color he would not help me out. Basically told me I was S out of luck. I will never go back there again the guy was a complete arrogant you know what. Now I have a paint color that doesn’t match anything in my home and I cannot use it. Reading through the reviews I see that the same problem has occurred to other people. I would go anywhere but here from now on and I used to go there quite a bit. I wish there was an option to get zero stars but the guy that help me this morning was nice.

Took the contractor’s label off of the paint that was used during the construction of our home to get an exact match. To make a LONG story short, they got it wrong. Had to go back again today and have them remake it. Waited over an hour to get one gallon of paint mixed. I like the quality of the paint, but the customer service, or lack thereof, has made me mark them off my list.

Our nation taught me a few things. Among them how to prepare and paint vast metal surfaces to protect them from sea water and pack ice, prevent bilge rot, etc. A pretty good home builder sold me a dwelling some years ago. They swore by Dunn Edwards paint and products. I’m preparing to repaint the wood trim on my home. South and east facing, five years old, starting to oxidize. The walls, painted at the same time need no repainting. Part of my walls are maintained by others. Parts of these walls, redone two years age, are faded, weathered and need a redo. Those walls were not painted with Dunn Edwards paints. I’m a Dunn Edwards painter. I was told I’d be waiting 45 minutes for my paint this morning. It arrived in 15.

Went out of my way to get paint at this store because my carpenter told me to buy here and get a specific type of paint. After buying 300 dollars worth of paint and having it sprayed on, I found the paint was the wrong color. They made no attempt to help in the suituation. I basically spent triple the amount of money on this paint only to have them point fingers at the carpenter. I’ll go elsewhere next time and so should my carpenter.

Art As Inspriation Just imagine if one of your favorite artists – Picasso, for example – was a close friend, and you could turn to him for color advice any time you wanted. Well, actually, you can. Here’s how. Start by asking: What kind of feeling do I want to create? For example, you might decide you want to use vibrant colors to spice up a dull space, or pastels to create a livable, relaxing atmosphere, or neutrals to create a look of quiet, restrained elegance. You can search the web for images – try sites of well-known museums to start with. Look for colors or color combinations you like, and think might work in your space. Visit museums and galleries in person as well, but bear in mind that you’ll want to leave with a postcard, a reproduction, or a photograph of your selections as a reminder of the exact shades and hues that most appealed to you. You can usually see in the artwork itself how well each of the different colors work together. If you own a piece of art you know you want to use in the room – a painting, a print, a poster, or some pottery, for example – just build your color scheme straight from colors in the art, using the suggestions below. Use a photo or a printout of your original art piece. Photos are easier to transport, and involve less risk of damaging the work. At many of the Dunn-Edwards stores they employ experts in choosing colors and this service is free, just walk in and see the gal sitting at the desk.

I went looking for non-VOC paints. When we walked in, I stood around looking perplexed for about a minute before one of the salespeople came over. When he did, I informed him of what I was looking for. He wanted to know whether I wanted eggshell, matte or gloss. Having had an experience several years ago with some soy paint that washed off when I scrubbed it with vigor, I was unsure what gloss when he informed me that some cleaned better than others. So, I asked what the ingredients were in their paint… curious whether it was that same soy stuff I’d used awhile back… and so starts the drama. He told me he didn’t know. I asked him if he could find out. «I guess so» he says, obviously annoyed, and off he goes to print something out. He brings it back. No info on the ingredients. But it does tell me that their paint is NOT zero VOC because it does have a small amt of VOCs in it.(why is it labeled non-VOC???) I tell him that there are still no ingredients on this and then he gets even more huffy and ask him again if he can give me the ingredients in it. He’s angry, but I ignore it and he goes off to print me the MSDS sheet for the paint. Back he comes with totally useless information unless I plan to eat the paint and need to know whether I’m going to die. BUT what the hell are the ingredients in the paint??? I point out that there’s no info on that sheet either. He’s super pissed at this point. I tell him to go away and get me someone else to help. Over comes a young man who tells me that they do not know what the ingredients are but he’s sure they are just fine and everything’s ok. LOL. What am I… a sheep??? We leave. Down the street there was a Sherwin-Williams. I stopped in there hoping maybe I would have better luck. They were wonderful. Great customer service… very amiable. When I asked what the ingredients were, they showed me the can… the ingredients are on the can! And, it was actually ZEROVOC and the pigments they add are also zero VOC. To top it all off, there’s a designer on staff to help with colors and design! GO Sherwin Williams! Don’t waste your time at Dunn-Edwards. Their customer service is at best spotty and uninformed… at worst, just plain old rude and ignorant!
