All seemed to be going well after our initial visit and SRP home audit by Ecobuilt. Insulation improvements and window shade screens were recomended and based on the rebate contribution from SRP we agreed to go ahead with the work. The insulation work was carried out and the sunscreens were fitted when they were ready. The fit of the screens is not perfect but acceptable. Then the problems started as we waited for our $ 700 rebate from SRP. Ecobuilt needed to complete the paperwork to trigger the rebate but just weren’t doing it! After 4 months of chasing when Ecobuilt wouldnt even return my calls i went to SRP directly. They tried to resolve with Ecobuilt but again they failed to get the necessary paperwork from Ecobuilt to process it. Eventualy SRP worked with me directly to get it through and I eventually recived my check. So, if you want to find a contractor to work for you with a rebate program — find one that cares enough after they finish the work to do the paperwork for you to trigger your rebate. I was wholly dissapointed with the whole experience except SRP who run a great program and were great at sorting things out for me.
