Elite Party on the Patio at Province

This party was fantastic! Province is a great place! Party was on the patio, and even though every party for Unilocal is wonderful! This is the absolute best! At least that i have ever been to. Drinks were amazing, food was absoulty incredible! The staff was so friendly and great… We cannot wait to come back to Province for dinner. They even had comp. valet parking.

This event was probably one of the top 3 I have been too in the last 2 years as an elite. The atmosphere was fantastic and we got very lucky with such a nice night, just loved the design of the patio. The service was fantastic as well, I never went without a drink or had a dirty plate in front of me for long.
The fondue’s were amazing, it was so rich and flavor full it went great with the chips provided. I was also amazed by how much flavor was in the caprice salad, the pesto on there was really good. I thought the chicken mojo skewers were well cooked and had a great flavor.
My favorite part of the night had to be the desserts though as those little churros with the chocolate were great and well sized for a good bite and easy dipping. Then the ice cream came out. I am not normally a fan of coffee ice creams but the cappuccino/​mocha (i forget which it was) was fantastic. I had to get a second round even though I was stuffed.
Huge thank you’s go out Lindsey and the Unilocal staff along with all the staff at Province, they really were well prepared and did a great job showing off the restaurant. I am going to be sure to come back soon.

I’m a little late to the party review… but this was hands down the best Elite party so far this year! All the food was unique and amazing. My favorite was the goat cheese fondue and homemade corn nuts… yum! I would have left happy with the incredible food and glorious sangrias, but then they went and brought out desserts… O to the M to the G… you had me at chocolate Ganache and cinnamon churros! Thank you Unilocal,and Province for hosting this event. I am looking forward to going back to Province and sitting down to a whole bowl of goat cheese fondue to myself =P.

This is the absolute best Unilocal Party we have ever been to. Most all Unilocal parties are absolutely fabulous! So that tells you how incredible it was. It was a beautiful venue! Province is at the bottom of The Westin Hotel. Van Buren and Central Ave. The party itself was on the patio and was beautiful. It was a really cool evening outside, but the had 6 heaters and a fireplace in the middle which kept everything toasty and warm. The staff here was amazing! They were so very kind here and friendly. It was like going to a fabulous high end wedding reception. If you were getting married this would be the place for a small reception, incredible, Our fabulous hostess Lindsey blew us away again with all her great planning. She always thinks of everything. The drinks were endless and really high quality! The food was amazing!!! I mean really amazing. I have told every one i can about this great place. Also the manager and assistant manager were wonderful and so very gracious. I seriously could just go on for days about the food. I can’t wait to back for lunch or dinner. If i had to plan the party or reception of the year, it would be here… I even learned how to make a proper cocktail. Which they serve here made from scratch (the proper way)… FABULOUS, FABULOUS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY. THIS PLACE GETS A MAJOR ATtttttt. Thank you Lindsey and thank you so much the wonderful staff @ Province! Oh plus i almost forgot, complementary valet parking.

What a posh and delectable evening this was, hosted by Province’s GM Luis San Martin, and our CM Lindsey!
Luis’ passion for food, combined with executive Chef Zweiban’s history in the Latino American culinary community, have combined to make Province a truly unique gastronomic experience.
Province’s focus on using locally grown ingredients in their cooking and creating contemporary American dishes infused with Latin fare — creates a seasonal menu experience, and only enhances their appeal. We had the ultimate pleasure of sampling many of their wonderful offerings this evening.
The evening began with their White and Red sangrias, concocted with Orange liqueur and Spanish brandy. The red had a full and bold taste, making for an excellent sangria! Apple slices gave it a great fall flavor.
My first course was the Beet and Bleu Cheese Salad. With candied marcona almonds and an apple cider vinaigrette, the many flavors and buttery beets made this a perfect starter for the night. (I loved it so much I ordered it to go, at the bar, later that evening) This was followed by the Heirloom tomato with house made mozzarella salad, doused in a cilantro almond dressing which added a unique twist to this popular salad.
Soups came next, featuring a Butternut Squash Soup with toasted pepitas and a Tortilla Soup with rotisserie roasted chicken and avocado. I was not a fan of the tortilla soup, as it had a smoked chipotle flavor, but the butternut was creamy and full of flavor.
Passed hors d’oeuvres came out about every 5 – 10 minutes, and I was overwhelmed at the artfully crafted bites that we got to sample. The mushroom croquettas, stuffed with a potato purée and served with a garlic aoli were outstanding. The Mini Cuban pork on brioche sandwich, with mustard aoli and cabbage slaw a beautiful amalgam. Then came the Tuna and Watermelon ceviche with a spicy rice wine vinaigrette that gave the perfect kick to the mellow flavor of the tuna and sweet texture of the watermelon.
One table had an assortment of charcuterie ranging from Serrano ham, to Manchego cheese, to Spanish olives. There were also three distinctive samplings of their main courses. The Ancho chile rubbed skirt steak with a touch of chorizo was ambrosial! For skirt steak, the meat was supremely tender, having been marinated. What great southwestern flavor! This was followed by the Pounded Natural Chicken Breast, in an orange mojo sauce. Great combination of flavors! Last but not least, I feasted on the Slow Braised Brandt Farms Meatballs, served with a unique piquillo-​ancho sauce, which tasted of a very rich marinara, but with a slight smokey flavor.
The culinary experience continued at another table, with a Melted Goat Cheese Fondue, as well as a Bleu Cheese Fondue. The goat cheese would taste great with some fig or orange marmelatde on toast, but otherwise it was flavorless to me — but creamy nonetheless. The Bleu was outstanding! Lovely creamy texture and savoery flavor. It was excellent with the bread chips.
The night of tasting ended with samplings of their Cinnamon Churros with Chocolate Ganache, as well as mini Squash and Pumpkin Cupcakes with Molasses and Cream Cheese Frosting. I can attest that we were all in saccharine heaven.
Overall, the incredible bites combined with the wonderful drinks, the sensual lighting at the patio at Province, and the DJs sultry beats — made for a very exceptional evening.

Another wonderful evening hosted by Unilocal & Lindsey F! I’d never been to Province (or the Westin Downtown) for that matter and was pleasantly suprised by what was there. The patio setting was beautiful, the food & drink were all delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We’ll be telling our friends about Province and will be back!

What a great and intimate event! I had been to one Elite event previously as a guest, but this was my first as an Elite. It was really nice! We occupied the patio and nibbled on delicious foods and sipped immaculate drinks. I started and stuck with the red sangria because it was soooo good! Nibbles: Goat and blue cheese fondue — Excellent! Tortilla soup — perfectly seasoned! Charcuterie — they had caper berries along with fantastic meats, cheese, olives — Excellent! Marinated chicken skewers were a win! Servers came around passing a tuna/​watermelon ceviche, which I tried… And even though I am not a huge tuna fan, i really enjoyed this! Then just as I was craving some sweets, those same servers came around with desserts! Churros with a chocolate dipping sauce, mini pumpkin cupcakes with molasses drizzle and an ice cream trio… All yummy! I look forward to getting back to Province and that $ 20 gift is a great incentive! Thanks to Province, Lindsey and Unilocal for a great event! =)

My first Elite event! Completely awesome. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, I looooved the beef kabob and the mini cupcakes. Cream cheese frosting tasted just like mom’s (tough to do). Very delicious. I personally was not feeling either of the soups, but oh well! Had a smashing good time, can’t wait to go back.

Thanks to Lindsey for putting together another wonderful event, and also thank you to all the staff at Province. They were very generous and great. The place is beautiful, we enjoyed a wonderful event in the patio area. I am supposed to be on Hcg, however the samplings were so delicious, it was worth breaking my diet. I sampled the tortilla soup, it was a creamy concoction with enough bite, mmmm YUM. I also had their version of a caprese salad. The chicken skewers were so tasty, they had a nice marinate. Another great bite was the shrimp taco and the churros, darn they were good, I had I think 4 of them. The drinks were flowing, I had red and white sangria, both delicious. I was one of the lucky ones who was able to learn how to make their «smart money» cocktail. A mix between a manhattan and a mint julep. It was so much fun. I guess I better head to the gym this morning for an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill, maybe I should make it longer.

This was my first Elite event (I always seem to be out of town when these events happen) and it was GREAT! A VERY classy event with some fantastic food (lots of it!) and beer, wine and two kind of sangria, a DJ playing tunes-​in short… AWESOME! Everything served was fantastic from the caprese salad to the skewers to the pork sandwiches to the mushrooms, even the dessert.
The atmosphere on the patio is awesome-​a very chill, relaxing place to sip a cocktail or enjoy some snacks… right in the heart of downtown. The staff were nothing short of wonderful and attentive beyond compare. It is a great place to pop in for a drink after work, or if your business wants to host a classy event with just enough of an edge. I can definitely see myself shedding my work clothes for a cool casual getting and popping in for a few drinks when the clock hits 5:30! I cant think of a better place or environment in which to mingle with my fellow Unilocalers!
GREAT time and I can’t wait for the next one!

This was one of the best Unilocal elite events to date!
The soups were exceptional, I really loved the tortilla soup. The perfect spicy creamy deliciousness was unforgettable.
I also loved the shrimp tacos and the meatballs. I think my favorite was the tuna watermelon ceviche. I have never tried anything like it before and thought it was really innovative and unique.
I had to make two trips to the antipasti station, it was really well laid out and the skewers were delicious.
The wines were very good and matched the foods we were served well. The beer was very good also. I also got the privilege of trying the Smart Money drink. It was very good but a little too sweet for my personal tastes.
The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, you could not have asked for a nicer event. My compliments to the chefs, the food was fantastic!
Province gets my highest recommendation, the food and service here are really exceptional. I look forward to bringing friends here to enjoy an exquisite meal.

Amazing event! Lindsey, you did a fantastic job! A BIG thanks to staff at Province. Awesome service and very generous! There was plenty of food and beverage selections. Yummy Goat cheese fondue was amazing! The chicken skewers had a great marinade on them. I loved the cute patio at Province. It wasn’t too small and was perfect for the event. The pumpkin cupcakes were to die for. I couldn’t help but go for seconds. I can’t wait to go back to Province for dinner!

This was my 2^nd Elite event, and again I just can’t believe how fanatics they are!

Where do I begin? My +1 and I got to the event early so we went into the bar, we were asked what would we like to drink and we were unsure of what to order, the barmaid suggested a Hummingbird Martini, let me tell you, that was delish! And guess what, they comp’ed us! WOW
Went to the patio because it started, the food stations where set up so nicely and the dj, who was a cutie, was playin smooth music, the wait staff was ready with drinks, there was white & red wine, white & red sangria, and lagunitas beer. I had enjoyed myself 2 glasses of red sangria!
The food stations, wow what a great set up, there was a goat cheese & blue cheese with bread, which I tried both, both were great, but I liked the blue cheese the best. Next to that was a salad and soup station, it had a tomato and mozzarella salad, a beet salad and tortilla soup, omg all 3 were delish! Next to that station was a antipasti which was divine! Also had meatballs, chicken on a skewer that was moist and tender and a beef with a chile rub on skewer that was melt in your mouth good!!! The last station was shrimp tacos, again I am not a huge person on shrimp but those tacos were soo dang good I had me 2!
The waiters brought around other items to sample, such as a tuna watermelon ceviche, oh gawd that was good, a cuban pulled pork sandwich, a stuffed mushroom, both were superb. They also brought out desert, there was churros with a chocolate ganache, 3 ice cream scoops, can’t remember all the flavors except the coffee one, man that was good, and pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting drizzled with molasses, that my dear was my favorite!
The Province also made us a sample of their drink that’s call Smart Money, I have to say it wasn’t my favorite, but that’s because of me not them!

What a great evening!

This was my first Unilocal event. I am a total foodie and every bite was heaven. The antipasta was perfect and the dessert was scrumptious. Every bite in between improved upon the last. Can’t wait for my next event.

This was my first Unilocal event, and I had so much fun! I was surprised at how quickly I found people to chat with. They made for great company for the evening. :) I liked how everything was set up in little tasting stations, and they also came around to the tables with samples of what was being served as well. My personal favorites tonight were the Chicken Tortilla soup, the meatballs, and the churros dipped in chocolate ganache. The white sangria was also delicious! The outdoor space at Province seemed very warm and cozy with the fire feature and the high top tables. I also liked the industrial modern feel of the metal building with the artsy colored lighting. I would definitely come back to Province some time!
