Enterprise Rent-A-Car

This was the third time we have used Enterprise in Phoeniz. The service checking in was great! We worked with Badie Anvari this time and he did everything possible to make the process quick and efficient. The car was fine and loved the bottled water they had available. On the return, they didn’t know how to use a gift card as payment. We finally had to say forget it, so we could catch our plane.

The line is 12 people deep and there’s one person working the counter. In addition, the kiosks don’t work so you’re forced to go to the counter.
What a poorly run branch.

Customer service resolved my issue without too much of a hassle.

I’d give lower stars if I could. Currently in line for the second time for over 45 min bc the kiosk they have don’t actually work and will kick you off only then go have to get a the long line to speak with a person. There are only 3 people behind the counter with a line this long. One employee is just standing by the kiosk… Alone, with all these customers waiting… Horrible service especially when next door is completely open with no line… Not a good way to get repeat customers. One woman employee was super nice once we finally made up to the counter but we will not use your car service again. With so many rental car companies within 40 feet I would have hoped this company would have done better. Lesson learned.
The ONLY good experience was with STEVE downstairs when we were picking up the car he made up for the issues upstairs. So Thank You STEVE!!! You deserve a raise !

Flawless and friendly service from the Enterprise team.

While my car was been repaired, the dealer arranged an Enterprise rental for me. I called the airport Enterprise office to make sure I could pick the car up there and was told, «sure, just come on down.» That was a lie. After turning in my rental car from Hertz from the previous day, I went to the Enterprise counter and was told that I could not pick up vehicle at that location under that program, leaving me stranded without transportation back home. The 12-​year old boy in a suit who spoke to me was an arrogant twerp who should not be working in any customer service position. In fact, Enterprise has a long history of staffing their locations with recent college grads desperate for work. What they need to do is hire more mature people who are ready and willing to work and who know their heads from their.. .

Worst rental car experience of my life. After our Honda Odyssey was rear-​ended, our insurance reserved a minivan at the Enterprise Dunlap location. The rental car’s windshield was whistling, which I reported immediately. The windshield cracked the next day, while we were driving. We drove to the only open site, Sky Harbor, to switch out the van. At that point, we requested to switch to a Suburban as it would better accommodate our family size (3 in car seats and a camping trip – their minivan had captain chair setup which limited space). They told us they did not have any Suburbans on hand. They suggested we switch the van at the original site and to have the site manager call the next day to facilitate the request, as they could locate a Suburban anywhere in the valley and have it brought in. I called the original Dunlap site the next day and they told me there were no Suburbans to be reserved but they would try. A couple days passed and Dunlap site still could not locate a Suburban. I went to Enterprise’s website which listed Suburbans as available at the Sky Harbor location. I called Dunlap to relay this info and they told me I would have to conduct the exchange through Sky Harbor as they did not have access to the Sky Harbor fleet. I called Sky Harbor to make sure they truly did have Suburbans on hand and was told they had several available. I told the woman we would be coming in that same day. My husband packed up all 3 kids and drove 30 minutes during rush hour to go switch out the van. Once there, he was told they did not have any Suburbans. The manager on site, Samantha Smotzer, could not have been more rude or unconcerned. She told me her employees would not have said they had Suburbans on hand and I must have called the general call center. I assured her I called her specific location. She then said their website was inaccurate and even though it listed Suburbans as in-​stock they did not have any. However, she told my husband in person that he could leave with a Suburban that day if he paid an additional $ 175 per day. I’m not even sure how that works as the Dunlap rental agent already confirmed our insurance rental rate would cover a Suburban. She then told me she could switch out the van for another but we would have to pay a $ 250 deductible for the damaged windshield. I explained that it was whistling and I reported it but she insisted my husband had told her a rock hit it (he did not). She was rude, passive-​aggressive, and a horrible representative for Enterprise. She had zero concern for us as customers. I plan to call our insurance company, Safeco, and insist they re-​evaluate their relationship with Enterprise. I also hope Enterprise seriously considers how damaging employees like Samantha Smotzer are to it’s general image. I wish I could give this zero stars.
We will be going back to Dunlap Enterprise again tomorrow to return van.

I understand why enterprise is pricier than the other loaners, and honestly it’s worth it.
They had a cooler of water as we waited for our car. We did a last minute change to a standard suv for the 5 of us, and we got a Nissan Pathfinder that was absolutely perfect for our week long trip in Sedona, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
Drop off was just as easy and efficient. Enterprise is definitely worth the extra money.

I can’t believe how nice it was treated by all the associates at this location. The manager was extremely helpful and very accommodating.

The experience here was very easy as we already made reservations the night before. When we got to Enterprise rental car office after taking the shuttle bus here we decided to check in at the kiosk counter bc there was a long wait & the worker encouraged it. They had several on one side and one on the other. The gal who works there assisted us and so it made it quick, easy and no standing in long lines. I highly recommend this!
After checking in we went downstairs to pick up our car. We gave them our paperwork then waited 5 – 10 minutes and voila. Our guy offered us bottled water complimentary. We checked our car out for any scratches or dents. The guy gave us some instructions in how to use the car. Then we were on our way toward our hotel though we stopped for lunch as we were hungry.
The car was a cute Ford Focus. Nice and zippy. Upon returning the car five this morning we pulled it up in the required line. The gal there walked around the car to check for any dents or problems. She then proceeded to print out our receipt. It was smooth and quick. I knocked off one star for a car that was almost black (charcoal gray). I guess we don’t have a choice in color! Lol

Arrived at midnight as scheduled. Attendant took us to choice of two vehicles. Loaded family luggage into one. Attendant took the time to walk me through everything: contract, vehicle inspection, map, etc. It was a vehicle with keyless start. Warmed it up and can’t find the keys anywhere. Spent another 10 minutes looking EVERYWHERE as we knew since car started it was somewhere close. The whole group couldn’t find keys. So we had to unload and reload and go through entire process once again. We now have 45 minutes invested in getting a car… very disappointing.

Just waited 40 minutes in line and was told they don’t take any” walk ups” meaning no car for me. Thanks for letting me know after I waited. Horrible service

Service was excellent and fast. The pick up and drop off did not take long at all. The car was dependable and good in gas. I was given a free upgrade which made getting around with all the luggage a lot easier.

Easy to work with! Great great great customer service! From start to finish we had no issues. Happy to come back and rent from them again.

This is by far THE BEST Enterprise experience I have ever had. Enterprise is usually my go to rental company, BUT the customer service they provide at this location is the most exceptional I’ve encountered. From the person who greets you to the person who escorts you to the car. While you wait for your car, you can help yourself to complimentary water and sit on benches. The whole process was streamline because we booked a reservation in advance and were able to check-​in at the kiosk. The entire process was easy peasy! I wish It was like this everywhere I go.
Oh and shout out to Tyrone who helped us. He was very nice and informative by educating us on the car.

I usually only rent from Enterprise, but now I’m rethinking things for the future, and I’m a Plus Member. The Sonata tires were at 48 psi each!!! They should be at 34 psi. The car was skating around like it was on ice.
This is just dangerous! Now the staff was ready to help while I was there.
But… and here’s where it gets interesting. I told the reservation system when I would be there and what the flight numbers would be and when I would be leaving.
The less than helpful staff on the phone when I called today said that constituted a whole extra day. According to my watch, a couple of hours over this mysterious noon-​to-​noon number is a «whole day» Is this a new rule? That wasn’t a thing when I was there over Thanksgiving.
When I was at the desk, no one mentioned that to me, they knew when I was to return. They even told me the cost. So when I returned, double-​charge.
So they knew, and said nothing to me about the real cost. Who returns a car at exactly the same time they pick it up? If I was 4 minutes past, would I have been charged a whole day as well?
So I’m going to chalk this up to deceptive billing practices, really bad manners from the phone employees and obscenely piss poor maintenance. I mean really, you check and fill tire pressure when they’re cold. Not hot. Simpletons…
What’s Hertz’s number?
(FYI: I had to stop, buy a tire gauge and balance out the pressures. So I did someone elses job and got charged extra to do so. Great.)
Update: After speaking with two reps and having them bounce my one simple request of, do not charge me for the one extra day just because it’s an hour or so over into this so called next the 24 hour period. The manager finally agreed with me and refunded the cost of one day. So I will retract the one star rating in favor of a three-​star

Location was extremely busy but the employees kept their cool! The kiosk didn’t work for me so the employee let me use the business class line and skip ahead! Great customer service all around and lowest prices for sure!

We were very happy with the service provided by Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car from start to finish. Everyone was extremely helpful, friendly and quick. Possibly the best service I’ve ever experienced at a car rental place.

Typically, I choose Enterprise because the check-​in is quick and service is solid. All that was true here but I have to give a negative review because I am being charged for hail damage from the previous customer. Yeah, I missed it in the walk through (lesson learned, I will check the roof next time) but there was a significant hail storm a few days before I rented the car. I would have expected a bit more leniency with a dent that’s only about the size of a quarter given, you know, the proximity to the HAIL STORM. Oh well, credit card carriers primary insurance so not money out of my pocket.
Also, this isn’t directly controlled by Enterprise but I found the PHX terminal bus driver to be quite rude. The driver ordered a few people around over for holding small bags on their lap rather than putting them in the luggage area then made a few snide comments when people gave him a questioning look. Kinda weird more than anything.

Usually, my rental car experiences are relatively forgetful because they are so mundane that nothing stands out about them. Not this time. I rented a car from Enterprise at a different location and returned it to this airport location. I noticed that they overcharged me by a couple of hours and I called to ask how I can get those charges reversed. The person who took my call was… well…an absolute jerk. It was one of the most painful six minutes of my life. After suffering through this stellar employee’s attitude, he offered zero help and told me to call the location that I originally rented the car from.
Guess what? My conversation with the employee at that location latest under 3 minutes and he was helpful and courteous. That’s what people who are in customer service do!

I won’t use any other!
Today I returned my rental over 14 hours late… I was fully prepared to pay for the consequences.
I pulled into the return terminal and a young man named Ty greeted me warmly, much to my surprise he waived the extra day charge.
It totally took me by surprise and tears rolled down my face…
In the hustle and bustle of packing my terminally ill younger sister’s belongings up I just couldn’t get the car back on time. I didn’t get to bed until 3:00 AM this morning .
A simple gesture like this added a boost of positivity back to my step!

Enterprise is the best rental car agency, period, because when you reserve a car, they always have one waiting for you. The Phoenix Sky Harbor location was excellent on my recent trip. I was on the road in just a few minutes, even though they took the time to show me the important features of the car, and they even printed out directions to my hotel for me. They also made sure I knew exactly how to get to the highway so I wouldn’t get lost. They even helped me with my luggage! They whole process took maybe 10 minutes. The return was even quicker, probably 3 minutes.

Normally renting a car is somewhere between boring and an awful experience. The shuttle ride was just 5 minutes, the line was short with 4 agents writing contracts a fast pace. They not only had my convertible, but gave me my choice of 5 great cars. I got a brand new red mustang with 57 miles on it. They made a mistake with my contract and I had to wait 10 minutes. They gave me 10% off for my trouble (actually I was programming my gps while I waited. The rate was no more for a convertible than a midsize. What a place!

When I went out to get my car I was greeted by Demetria (not positive of spelling) and she had a big smile and such a pleasant attitude despite the intense heat in that garage.
I picked the car I wanted and she looked it over and suggested I take another car just because she didn’t feel that the car I picked was clean enough. So she suggested a comparable car that was super clean.
So I just want to say way this was one of the best car rental experiences I have had ever.

A terrible experience renting a car at this location. I wanted to rent a car to get out of town for the weekend so I used credit card points and was directed to this airport location. I thought this was going to be a mistake and it surely was. I’m sure if i was getting off a plane this would have been a different experience, but I’m a local and was forced to this location. When approaching this location there isn’t one sign that says «rental car pick up»; not one. Confusing to say the least, after circling a few times and a gps that was totally confused and me trying «Rental car drop off», i stopped to ask for help and was directed to «visitor parking». Seriously.
Found the parking lot, met other equally confused consumers and proceeded to lug our bags through the airport. Now the line up. we are approached by a friendly salesman who asks us if we have an out of state license. No, in state. ok then you have to wait in line… what? Its getting equally frustrating as this line of three people takes 45 minutes to make it through. The young lady who helped us at the desk was friendly and accommodating (plus one star). Again lug our bags through the airport and they have no idea where the car is. car to be picked up at 1 and its 2:30.
Then the insurance crap. «how would you like to insure this car?» i have my own insurance so I’m set, is met with sarcastic laughter and disbelief. I wonder if he thought It was my first rental?
Now I just want to get out of here, which is easier since I circled so many times trying to get in here. but its not over yet. A nice young lady stops us and asks about our experience. Now we all sarcastically chuckle and she becomes insistent.“no tell me what happened” is met with «can I please get the hell out of here??»
I have no idea why my credit card company made me book at this location when I used my points. I will never come here again and, if you are a local, you shouldn’t either.

Great value. Staff was corteous, friendly, and effecient even though they were a little overwhelmed when I was picking up my car. Several buses arrive the same time with everyone hitting the counter at the same time, their will be a little wait. Staff handled it well. Free water was nice to help with the Arizonia heat. Returning the car was even faster. Been renting from them for years now with no major problems.

Difficult to locate, no signs. Can’t use kiosk if you have an in state reservation, have to wait in line even with a reservation.

I give this location 3 stars because I was happy with the vehicle selection (the same car I have at home, which makes driving in a new area much easier) and overall positive opinion of Enterprise as a whole.
Check in was really slow and disorganized the morning of Friday, March 27^th. There were 2 ladies working at the counter and they didn’t know who to wait on next-​the «regular» or «preferred» line, which consisted of customers who had gone to the kiosks on the side.
There was a 3^rd worker who was worthless-​he tried to steer everyone to the kiosks, but they weren’t all working. Instead of jumping behind the counter to get a 3^rd line going, he made 6 or 7 trips into the back, then would come back out and play with the kiosks.
Fortunately, we weren’t in a rush, but the 45 minute wait to get to the counter was ridiculous. Everything else was fine-​the worker at the counter was friendly and efficient, and the car was great, billing was reasonable, and the trip was a blast!

First off, why are there 2 reviews for the one airport location at 1805 E Sky Harbor Circle which is where all car rentals are located? I wish Unilocal would consolidate them. A bit of a pet peeve. :)
When I rent a car locally I typically choose Enterprise, however, for travel I always go with Hertz. For this trip I went with Enterprise as their price was significantly lower than Hertz, and despite knowing that I would not be able to quickly swoop in and walk directly to my waiting car (as I do with Hertz), savings won out.
The wait in line just to «check in» was 30 minutes, and with the kiosks not working, some who left the line ended up at the back of the line — a few were frustrated. Then we waited downstairs in the car area for 15 minutes. That’s 45 minutes gone. The staff were very gracious and apologetic and they handed out free water, but despite that, I was starting to regret my decision.
My name was called and I was given the choice of about 10 different cars and I chose a pristine clean Honda Civic. Wow, it even had tinted rear windows. The car was spotless! Hertz cars are always dirty. Hmmmm… perhaps I made the right choice after all.
Other than the wait to pick up and then drop off, I was very happy with the car, service, and price.

The service was fast and seamless. Arriving on Thanksgiving Day I feared a car may not be available to me; however, not only did I receive a car but got an upgrade to a small SUV as there weren’t any full size cars available, lucky me. I was even given a bottled water which came in handy as the weather was hot.
The return of the vehicle was even faster. My credit card charged and receipt printed on sight and off to my plane I went. Great experience overall.

When I showed up, there were two agents assisting customers. One agent then left leaving just one person to service both the normal and business customer line. I’m a business customer and I had to wait about 15min for service with no one ahead of me. I would have liked to use a kiosk, but they were all down.
This review would have gone further south if I had not been upgraded to a larger vehicle. I was traveling with two others, and the original car would not have fit all of our luggage. The agent in the garage was much more helpful than the counter agent and that individual made up for the less than stellar counter service.

Really good service, especially by Kiki, who was spunky and fun, and let us select the midsize SUV we wanted, and Benny, the Manager upstairs, a very efficient, take-​charge and get it done, hands-​on Manager. The team downstairs may have been a little inexperienced b/​c we returned our first car to get an SUV, and instead of making the swap right there, they sent us upstairs. The Manager, Benny, said he would have just swapped us out while we were still downstairs instead of sending us all the way up… but he made sure we got a good rate and we were treated very well. I’d highly recommend them, over Fox, which we did last year and was a real el cheapo place to rent a car with crummy models. Never again — the Enterprise family is the way to go. Just joined the Emerald Club, so they will see me again!

Wonderful Service.
We were greeted by at least 5 associates and were handed a water bottle each. One of the guys simply asked for my name and started walking us to the lot.
He gave us a choice of our car and did the usual motions of inspecting the car before we drove off.
It took about 5 minutes to sign the paperwork (which was done on an ipad). Extremely friendly staff and greeted with a smile even when we returned the car. Much better pricing than Avis as well which is why I went with Enterprise.
Highly recommend if you are ever in the PHX area!

Five stars as usual. Enterprise provides top service. This location offers a nice cold water upon your arrival, and the checkout process is swift!

Enterprise is my rental car company of choice, and for good reason: good choice of vehicles that are well maintained, fast check-​in and check-​out, and attentive customer service. My last rental from this location missed the mark.
After a comparatively long wait in the Enterprise Plus line — which was notably faster than the other line that formed while I was there — I was ushered to my vehicle (a Dodge Avenger). The vehicle had been spritzed, but not wiped down with «new car smell» scented cleaner which was overpowering and left tacky spots on the vehicle’s doors and dash. An unidentified liquid/​syrup was pooled here and there in a couple of storage spaces and cup holders, and a half drunk bottle of water was left for me to refresh myself with.
The check out was as fast and organized as usual, but when I answered «Not great» to the company mandated «How was our service?» question, the response was a simple «Thank you.»
I’d like to be able to be generous and say that the team was overwhelmed, but during both my check out and check in that did not feel to be the case. It did feel like the attentiveness that I’ve come to expect from an Enterprise location wasn’t there.

Enterprise never disappoints! I love it when they have all the car rental places in one building. It makes it so much easier to find the shuttle bus to the car rental location, not to mention the shuttles come more frequently. In other locations where all the car rental places are in different locations, you just hope that your car rental place has more than one shuttle bus on rotation.
The building that houses all the various car rental places is massive. It’s a nice clean building. I have never had a bad experience with Enterprise and their service. This location in Phoenix only added another great experience to my long list of times I’ve rented a car from this company. Renting and returning the car is always so quick and easy. Our car was newly cleaned when we got it too.
Restrooms: Separate restrooms for men and women. There were many stalls and it was clean and stocked.
