Express Urgent Care

I’m a fan of the saying «know your audience», it’s important to know who you’re dealing with and how to properly engage. I understand Urgent Care gets a wide range of patients who come in for a slew of ‘reasons’, but It’s as much the PA’s/MA’s job to assess the patient. as well as their patients needs. My back has been out for over a week, and after multiple adjustments, heating/​icing, I decided to go to UC because my arm had gone numb earlier that day and my pain was getting unbearable. I needed help. After waiting well over an hour to be seen, a girl walks into the room with a rushed demeanor asking what was wrong as if I was just there to chat. After giving her my symptoms and the weekly run though, she came up with what felt like two extreme ‘guesses’. She asked minimal questions, didn’t feel or look my back or ask questions that (after reading about her two theories) would go hand in hand in properly determining what the real problem could be. She didn’t want to do an x-​Ray, and to be honest it felt like she didn’t want to take the time. Having x-​rays is routine and standard at a chiro office, and the comment about ‘unnecessary radiation’ just seems ridiculous when it’s a simple first step in process of elimination. She didn’t offer an anti-​inflammatory, something for the pain whether it be something topical or for muscle spasms. She didn’t suggest anything to do at home to help. Really, I felt like it was a waste of time and (and money considering her suggestion was to see my primary care doctor and to look up a few specialist; which I may or may not need considering there has literally hasn’t been a single form of proper assessment) I left with a bad taste in my mouth. Urgent Care –as the name states– is where you go when you need Urgent CARE. After being at work all day (with a burning back from nerve pain, nbd) then home to see my babies for all of thirty minutes and then spending the last part of my night at UC with literally the same outcome as 15 minutes on Google, ya. I can’t say I recommend this place or at least the team I saw tonight. Other than the girl at the front desk, she was nice.

I was rear ended in a car accident and needed to get checked. I always review Unilocal for new situations and found Express Urgent Care. Everyone I encountered there was very professional and caring. I did not have a long wait to be seen and Mary, Amanda, and Tran were very helpful. They explained the process and what I would be doing while in their care. This center will be my «go to» spot in the future if any other problems arise.

Great place. The PA spent an hour with me during a thorough exam and a urinalysis, left with script electronically sent. Wonderful front staff. Wonderful pa. Highly recommend! Best urgent care I’ve ever visited.

I came here last week because I had been in a car accident, and since it appeared that I was pretty banged up, but no obvious broken bones or concussion. It took two MA’s to take my blood pressure. My husband noticed that neither of them aligned the cuff properly and one couldn’t even manage to place the pulse ox clip on my finger the right way. The «doctor» barely looked at me. At the very least I would have expected that she would have asked me to take my shirt off so she could examine the extent of my bruising, which was already a lurid purple hours after the accident. I thought I would get an x-​ray to make sure I hadn’t cracked a rib. But no. I guess you can tell everything you need to know by listening to my lungs. All she did was tell me that the pain will get worse before it gets better (no shit, Sherlock!) and write me an Rx for pain medication. Had I known at the time that it was for hydrocodone with acetaminophen, I would have asked for something else. My clinical trial med cuts the efficacy of acetaminophen in half. But I can’t go back, because that would be «drug seeking behavior,» warnings against which were posted prominently in the waiting room. The best had to be when I was leaving and both the incompetent MA and the front desk girl said, «Have a good night!» Really?!? You both know I was in an accident, and you both saw that I could barely walk from the pain. F*ck you. and go back to night school.

Very fast service. I finished my paperwork and barely sat down when I was called. Doctor instantly knew what the problem was. Other places ran up my bill doing unnecessary tests and x-​rays. He even gave me more information about seeing a specialist if I needed to. Highly recommend. Great service.

I highly recommend express argent care. I’ve come here three separate visits twice for myself once for my son. They have imaging equipment on site and they are efficient I would highly recommend coming here before going to a hospital you get the same type of care for less than half the wait time and money. The medical staff have always been efficient and professional.

my husband needed evaluation for a possible left foot fracture-​we were seen promptly by a very courteous and professional staff-​we were able to have an x-​ray taken and receive the final report on a disc before we left-​we were seen by a very knowledgable and professional physician’s assistant. When our visit was over we were very pleased with his care and the way we were treated by the entire staff.

My daughter hurt her knee playing sports and was limping so I called to see until how late they were open. I was told they would take patients until 6:45 pm so I rushed over to get my daughters knee checked. I showed up and was told that no sorry they wouldn’t be able to see her after all because they just got five patients in. You think they would honor the fact they told you they would take patients until a certain time. The MA apologized and said he doesn’t like to turn patients away but it would take at least a half hour to fire up the X-​ray machine and get my daughters visit done and he would like to get home at a decent time. I guess my daughters injury wasn’t worth firing up the X-​ray machine! He then recommended us to an urgent care down the street. So thank your employee Express Urgent Care because someone else just got your business and will continue to get it from now on so your employees can get home at a decent time. So if anyone has an URGENT visit this is not the place to go to. They should change their name!

I’ve been to more Urgent Care clinics than most will visit in a lifetime, so to say that I am «a person with expert knowledge» (via experience), and «of informed and discriminating taste» when it comes to the urgent care experience is an understatement. As a self-​proclaimed Urgent Care connoisseur I know a good Urgent Care Clinic when I see one, or in this case, experience one, and my experience at Express Urgent Care was nothing short of enjoyable.
After doing a quick search on Unilocal to find a few of the best looking Urgent Care centers, Express looked to be the strongest both in rating and reviews. It wasn’t the closest by any means, but having a pleasant overall experience (as the reviews convinced me I would) would be worth a 24 minute /​10.4 mile drive easily.
I called on my way for the wait time and was pleased to hear there wasn’t one… already a win. By the time I arrived there were two people ahead of me; however, both had already been called back by the time I finished filling out my forms. After about 10 minutes of standard paperwork, I waited no more than 10 minutes to be called back; 5 minutes for my vitals to be taken, and maybe 3 minutes for the Doctor to come in. All in all, I was in and out in about 30 – 40 minutes, paid a $ 15 copay, and had the pleasure of being taken care of by the most professional and empathetic medical staff I have encountered. Bold statement, I know, but I stand behind it entirely. In fact, I look forward to seeing you all again!
Final verdict: Best $ 15 I have ever spent

The wait was very short and everyone from the front desk to the nurse practitioner were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend them!

Mostly good experience with this location. I have been three times now.
The first time, I waited only about 20 minutes. There was only another patient for me. The wait time once the MA took my vitals was about 10 minutes.
All of this was much more convenient than my PCP’s office which requires a 3 – 4 hour wait. The PA at this particular visit was friendly, thorough and helpful.
The other two times, the other PAs were not very thorough and just OK. The MAs seemed confused about the check in process.

this place is awesome the waiting room is super quiet no annoying tv or music, they get to you super quick and the doctor listens to what you have going on overall it was a great experience.

Best urgent care I’ve ever been to. Their staff is knowledgable, warm, and welcoming. Very efficient in their diagnosis and were able to get me in to a diagnostics center same day for CT scans. They took really good care of me and for that I am so grateful. Will definitely be back if needed and would recommend this place to anyone in need.

I came here because of the great reviews. I can honestly tell you that the staff here are attentive and care. The first time I came here I waited only 10 minutes. Office staff are polite and treat you like a family member. The doctor was attentive and listened to what I had to say. I was iffy about coming, since I dont like medical offices. I enjoyed my visit here. I felt comfortable with the staff.

I may have found my new go to urgent care! Everybody here was nice and caring. I was in and out in probably less than 45min. I would recommend them to everybody!

I have been to several urgent care facilities and this is one I will return too. Not only are they clean but the staff was considerate, nice and helpful.

Overall good experience. The wait wasn’t bad and the staff was friendly and helpful. My man had to get his thumb stitched up and they didn’t make him cry.
They would get 4 stars but they didn’t have any magazines in the waiting room worth reading.

I visited Express Urgent Care today after slicing my hand open on a glass. They got me in immediately and I was taken care of very promptly. All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly and professional. I needed stitches and a tetanus shot and am very nervous about being stuck with needles. The staff did a great job at making me feel at ease, and I was on my way within an hour of walking through the door. Also, the prices with no insurance were very reasonable. I cannot recommend these folks any more highly.

I was excited to see an urgent care pop up closer to home than the one at 7^th ave and Camelback. I hurt my neck about a month ago and with the pain increasingly impacting my daily function, I decided to drop in. This location is at 3^rd ave and Thomas, south of the hospital. It is a new place and at 2:30 pm on a Monday was empty. I filled in some paperwork and was brought back quickly. The P.A. on staff thought my issue was whiplash but said they wanted to x rays to be sure. I was so happy they could do that on site and give me preliminary results that there wasn’t anything serious going on. I was in and out in 35 minutes and got a few calls the next days making sure I was feeling better. I did get called at home, work, and cell phone which I thought was overkill. But overall, I was very happy with their service.

I had amazing service at this urgent care. They found my insurance information even though I had lost my card and got me in right away. They were extremely nice and professional. They followed up with me after my appointment and then assisted me even more in getting proper treatment. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility.
