After reading the reviews I thought I would stop in and check out their store. I had been shopping earlier at another retailer in south Phoenix, but had some«communication» issues, so I gave up on them and met with Mike at Fireplace Furnishings. He was knowledgeable and fair, so I felt completely comfortable and promptly gave them a deposit to start my order. The installer called me 10 days later and soon my fireplace was up and running beautifully. As a fellow Valley retailer, I try to learn from my own retail experiences about how to improve customer relationships. Their installer was amazing. He was on time and left NO mess behind. Thanks again!

After reading a review about the staff being rude, I was prepared to be on my own when shopping for fire glass. However, I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I showed up, and we met with Mike. He was so nice and helpful! He showed us samples, told us what was in stock, and how to save some money by adding a layer of rock underneath the fire glass. We had a great experience and I would shop here again! .*important note– they are only open until 4:00 during the summer instead of5:00 like it says on Unilocal

I haven’t made a lot of purchases from this store, but have had them out several times to repair our gas fireplace(which is a piece of crap, not purchased from fireplace furnishings). Curtis, the repair guy, has always been prompt, courteous, and helpful. I will continue to frequent this business.

I came here for supplies and advice while I was redoing my outdoor fire pit. I was looking for the colored glass for the fire pit. Cons The staff here is brash, unhelpful, and make everything seem like such an ordeal when you ask questions. I honestly am unsure how this place stays in business when the staff was as poor in customer service as they were. Pros The only good news is that the prices are cheap. From my research the prices for fire pit glass, p-gravel, and other stuff I needed for my fire pit were cheaper here then anywhere else I looked. In the end, if you are looking for fireplace stuff and already know exactly what you want and are prepared for the rude employees then this may be the place to go. Otherwise go somewhere else or buy online. Just do not come here expecting helpful advice or friendly staff that care how your fire pit will turn out.

I love this store! Lots of wonderful hearth accessories and knowledgable friendly staff! fireplace toy shop to be sure! I needed a set of fireplace tools. I had been recently disjointed in the meager selection at Lowe’s(1set only) and Home Depot– nothing at all. Fireplace Furnishings was a wonderful upgrade. They have everything you could possible want in terms if fireplace accoutrements with something for every price-point. I chose a nice simple black wrought iron set with 4 tools and a matching stand. I also picked up some masonry firebox paint called Blackout to spruce up the inside of our hearth. The guy I dealt with both times was friendly and didn’t try to over sell me on anything. He just guided me towards what he thought I was looking for and answered any questions. I highly recommend this place for any wood-burning aficionados and gas fans alike both indoor and outdoor. They seem to have a great selection of outdoor kitchen options too! I will be back!
