After taking a week long river cruise in France, the very next day after returning home I began experiencing constant vertigo. I basically felt like I was still on the boat. While sitting or laying down, I felt a swaying back and forth. While walking, I felt like I was bobbing up and down and very bouncy and off balance. I saw a couple of GP Drs who thought it was something in my ear. The ENT said there was nothing wrong with my ear and diagnosed me with Mal de Debarquement Syndrome(MdDS) but then didn’t offer any solution for it. He basically said to just wait for it to go away. After a couple of months with no relief my personal trainer recommended me to Dr. Cameron Khavari and after about another month of seeing him I was only having intermittent symptoms that were much less severe. Finally after another few weeks I am now thankfully back to normal. In addition to his physical therapy and chiropractic practice, Dr. Khavari has also successfully treated a variety of patients with vertigo and dizziness. After becoming his patient, he started me off with the usual BPV(Benign Positional Vertigo) therapies in addition to doing some muscular skeletal work(I have had mild neck issues off and on for some time). That offered some relief but I still had some feelings of motion«in the background». That is when Dr. Khavari went above and beyond in researching my MDdS and coming up with some additional treatments and exercises for me to do at home. This condition is pretty rare and not well studied so he had to do a lot of research and figure out a protocol on his own. I can’t tell you what a huge difference it makes to see a doctor that really cares if you actually get better or not and doesn’t just shuffle you out the door with some prescription. As a result of his diligence we finally found some exercises that I could do to relieve the vertigo when it came on and then eventually get rid of it all together. I am so happy that I have been completely symptom free for one month now. I owe it all to Dr. Khavari and I can not recommend him enough!

I cannot say enough about everyone here! Dr Khavari is simply at the top of his profession. He never ceases to amaze me with the people he works on from athletes, to trainers, adults and kids. Then there is Stephanie who is there massage therapist. She is absolutely the best! I feel so good and able to function at a higher level after a session with her. Last but not least there is Rachel. Also an LMT but she works more in a PT role giving me exercises etc that keep me going and make me better during and after treatment. Next time you have an injury I highly suggest you see this group!!!
