Dr. House and her staff are so welcoming. I am called by name every time I walk through the door. I recently had to make an unexpected visit to House Dental after a crown had come off when eating peanut brittle and I was fit into her schedule immediately. The entire staff at House Dental asks me how I am doing and about my family farm back in the Midwest. I have been a patient at House Dental for 5 years and have no intentions of getting my dental work completed elsewhere.

Dr. House is nice enough however her front desk staff is AWFUL. They don’t know how to talk to their patients and they only text you. The woman who runs the front desk is beyond rude, condescending and frankly inappropriate. We have been outstanding patients and have referred multiple friends to her practice. When I called to pay a bill, I was texted NOT called that we were«playing Games.» Playing games by trying to pay my bill? Doesn’t make much sense. I have since then attempted to reach Dr. House THREE times by phone and have been out right ignored. Not only will we NOT return as patients, we will GLADY not refer people there and tell everyone to STAYAWAY. If you want someone that doesn’t value patients and only see’s dollar signs then by all means. this is the right place for you!!!

If you’re like me, then your vanity is tied to your teeth. As a Survivor of Domestic Violence, eight years ago, I applied to the Arizona Dental Association for free dental work. I was placed on a waiting list and wasn’t called for four years. Upon contact, I was referred to Dr. House. Since a man had attempted to destroy my mouth, teeth and spirit, I desperately wanted and needed female professionals to undo the damage. It seemed like«poetic justice.» I had been on the run so long. It felt great to finally be able to sit in a dentist chair again. Dr. House was very caring and professional. Upon reviewing my X-rays, she let me know just how extensive and time consuming the work would need. Heeding my preferences, I was given referrals to(again female) a Dental Hygenist and Endodontist. The pain of not going forward, was greater than the dental work. I bravely faced the root canals, crowns, fillings, cleanings, bridge and cap replacements. Most notably, Dr. House replaced my two upper front Bugs Bunny caps with smaller ones, more proportionate to my other teeth. Words cannot express how happy I was when my new and improved smile was revealed! I had to buy a new, pretty wardrobe to match. I’ve been blessed to have these professional women donate their services. I couldn’t have afforded them otherwise. It’s been two years since my last visit, and I’ve been saving up for my next. All dental work is expensive.

I am normally a very easy going patient. I understand the importance of maintainence and can understand when unexpected expenses come up however; my most recent experience with House Dental was disheatening in the least. A normal routine filling turned into a $ 2000 root canal and crown. I was not even aware that I had reached my insurance max(not sure how they had already billed $ 1000 from a cleaning and checkup) and the team at Dr. House’s office was reluctant to give me that information until after my tooth had been drilled through and exposed leaving me with no options but to get the root canal immediately or be in pain. Considering I wasn’t even in pain at all before coming to the dentist, it was discouraging to say the least. I did not appreciate their lack of regard for my finances and blatant disregard for my insurance benefits. I can’t help but feel that patient care has been lost and that greed has taken its place. Had they just told me I maxed out my insruance, I would have only had to wait two months until my insruance renewed and it would have saved me at least $ 1000. This is my first negative review ever but I would hate for anyone else to have the experience I did. I work in healthcare and understand insurance so I know the difference between a patient focused practice and one just in it for the money.

I have been going to Dr House for over 5 years and absolutely love her and her office staff. All my friends and family now go to Dr House also and everyone raves about her. She is professional, thorough and gentle. We are very happy patients! Note: her office moved to 32nd& Camelback… make sure not to go to the old office on 44th Street.
