I have had 2 appointments to see Dr Desiderio Avila. He seems like a competent doctor but doesn’t seem to have a problem with making you wait. My 1st appointment after peeing in a cup I sat for 40 mins waiting for the doctor to see me. I let him know I didn’t appreciate waiting 40 mins and he gave me the «had an emergency» excuse.
My second appt (6 months later) the exact same thing happened. this time when it hit 40 mins I had the receptionist refund my copay and left. My wife was angry and called the business manager who told her that the doctor is often late. Unbelievable!
I believe my time is important. Guaranteed if I showed up 40 mins late they wouldn’t see me and would try to hit me w/​a no-​show fee.
