Don’t. Even. Bother. I received some of their clothes as a gift and although it was my size, the fit was totally off. I called ahead to make sure they had the items that needed to be exchanged in the correct size the day prior to my visit. The lady I spoke with on the phone, Lana, explained a receipt was necessary for online orders. I didn’t have one and she said no problem, come in any way and I’ll accommodate this one time. Cool — good start. I show up with my items and Lana brings me the right size for the same exact items I brought in. In the middle of her working on the even exchange, I stepped away to take my kid to the restroom. Upon my return, I find an older woman looking through all my items and immediately starts demanding a receipt. I explained to her that I didn’t have one as it was a gift that I received. The original sales lady that was helping me left the desk to hide somewhere while the older woman starts going off about how I need the purchaser’s email or phone # or physical address in order for the even exchange to happen. Well, I gave her the name of the person who the gift came from and it seemed like she couldn’t locate them and asked if someone else did the order for them and demanded other possible purchaser’s personal info. I declined to go down that path and share personal contact information of others without their consent. This woman was so incredibly rude. I was so shocked and offended about how she treated me that I told her to forget it — I’ll just donate the items. Now I see why the store was 100% empty. Having deceitful and rude staff is a sure way to keep customers away. I am definitely never shopping at this store nor their online store. By the way, the sizing on their clothes is all off, the quality is on par with Old Navy and the pricing wasn’t anything worth driving there for. Spend the extra few bucks and get your clothes at any of their many competitors.

This outlet is the one outlet I find worth the drive from PHX. Know that like every outlet store. it is the usual hit or miss. Although I am a Crew Prep at heart and have been since back the Crew dizzay so I usually always find something. I can make a preppy guys shirt work with my boyfriend jeans and a big belt … put it all together with a hat and bam. Crew style. I find the staff to not ever leave. The same peeps that worked there last year… are still rowing it this year. Love that. Because that tells me as a consumer, that they like the company as much as I do. I always find a good deal. So with that. I say. drive it.

The finds to be had at the J Crew outlet are great, but the main downfall is that the regular prices here really aren’t some smokin’ deal. The quality of the merchandise isn’t that far below that of the regular store, which is a pleasant surprise, and there is some overstock of first-quality stuff. The real steals are on the sale rack, especially when there’s an extra 20 or 30% off the sale price. I’ve gotten some very nice, super cute tops for something like $ 12. Dress pants run around $ 60 – 70, which seems steep until you remember that the regular J. Crew pants are twice that. Also be sure to check out the belts, jewelry, and hair accessories — more hidden gems there. The men’s department ain’t too shabby either.
