Worst office staff! The place is sweat shop not only for the employees but for the patients… Had a total of 5 minutes with the doctor. Narcissistic and arrogant, tried to make me feel like a child when I was attempting to explain my symptoms. That was beneath him! Zero insight into what my health issue might be but he would send his report over to my primary care physician that afternoon…4 days later… still nothing. Worse than a third world country… Just save yourself and go somewhere else! Oh I forgot to add… when I asked by voice mail to make sure that they had my ultrasound before my visit I never got a call back. I called again and talked to someone who very bruskly said«We don’t do that, you will have to do that, we don’t have the time and I am needed in the clinic and I have to go!»

I don’t know about Raines himself, but the administration of the office is terrible. On more than one occasion, their 1.5 hour lunch has run over by more than a half hour so that you get the answering service during the time you should be able to reach the office staff. Really!?! You need a two hour lunch in a 9 – 5 workday? The office staff is also rude and unhelpful, interrupting and talking over you.

I went to Dr. Raines for a sinus surgery. Before the operation he determined that I also needed surgery for a deviated septum. He let me know that there are possible complications with the surgery(brain damage), but failed to mention he may damage the structure of my nose and change its appearance for the WORSE! The surgery was not supposed to visually change the shape of my nose in any way(I felt fortunate that I really liked my nose!). Instead, the bridge of my nose lost its shape and I now have to get routine injections to try and rebuild the bridge and restore the shape. Dr. Raines acknowledged the change in appearance, but refused to be of any help with the situation, stating that«many people would still be happy with the shape». I would not recommend Dr. John Raines to anyone. I fully understand that outcomes can’t be guaranteed in the medical world, but the way a doctor handles a situation when he is clearly the cause of unexpected and truly upsetting damage strongly reflects his overall character and in my opinion, his competency as a professional.
