Mane Attraction Salon

I have long been a salon skeptic and a never happy with where I get my hair done. That was until I came here. I came in on a chance and met Tracy. She is seriously awesome. She has cut my hair about 5 times since then and I am always happy. She is creative and really gets what is going on with my hair and always suggests styles that really look good on me.
The salon is beautiful and most of the people I have met there have been sweet, aside from a few rude ladies who work there.
they also carry the Bumble and Bumble line and this is seriously awesome. I love all the products and my hair has never looked better!

I have been getting my hair done off an on at Mane Attraction since high school. My dad turned me onto them after seeing a stylist there regularly. I then began seeing a stylist there regularly too for well over a year. After she left to work at another salon, I also just stopped going. Her new salon was way too far from my house. Now, after getting my hair done at another salon last year and getting the worst color job ever, my first instinct was to go back to Mane Attraction and have them fix it.
SO glad I did!!! Seeing as the girl who used to do my hair no longer worked there, I new that I would be seeing a new stylist, which I was fine with. When I called to make my appointment, the receptionist asked me what level of stylist I wanted, I guess you can pick your stylist based on their level of education or something like that… Not really sure, but I didn’t mind either way.
When I got to the 9:00 am appointment, I was the only person there for a service, which was really nice. Every other time I have been there, the place has always been packed, so it was nice to have the whole place to myself! The receptionist offered me coffee, tea, and water and she also even told me that they offer their clients alcoholic beverages and will even order food for you to be delivered at the salon that you can have during your service! I thought that was really cool and unique.
Since I was going in because I wanted my hair fixed from the previous salon that did it, I was really skeptical about going to another stylist that I didn’t know. She was AMAZING! She told me that she had been working at Mane Attraction for over 10 years, and after she said that, I immediately felt comfortable and confident that she would do a great job. We looked at pictures on my phone and chose the right color together. She listened to everything that I wanted my hair to look like and gave me exactly that! In addition, she was also very friendly and outgoing, which is hard to find sometimes, I hate sitting there awkwardly for 2 hours while the person doing my hair doesn’t talk to me, but she was really nice.
They are a little bit on the pricier side, but you kind of have to expect that when you get your hair done at a salon in the Camelback East neighborhood. I think with my services and tip all together I spent about $ 220.00. I have been really trying to get back in there to get my hair cut and colored again, I just can’t go all the time due to the high price, but when you do go, it is well worth it!

I went to Mane Attraction a few days ago for a haircut and chose a stylist who I was told had been cutting hair for over a decade. My hair was very long and getting difficult to style because of its natural curl so I wanted a fresh, shorter look. I explained what I wanted to my stylist, showed her pictures, and told her that my hair needed layers to remove bulk. When she was done, she asked how I liked it, and before I could really take a good look, the two assistants behind us gushed over how great it looked. That was followed by the same reaction from the cashier. My hair still looked fairly long but I felt uncomfortable saying anything since her next client was anxiously waiting. I smiled and payed the $ 93 plus a generous tip. I didn’t really get a good look at my cut until I got home and realized that basically my stylist just cut it straight across the bottom. It wasn’t even cut in the front to frame my face. My husband agreed with my concerns but cautioned that if I went back to have it fixed, that the salon would most likely have me see the same stylist. Unfortunately, I’ll now have to pay another salon to give me a proper cut.

Another five star experience with ME. Dawned on me this visit how much Kendall (owner) does to support his community, which is greatly appreciated. Just all around atmosphere where employees are happy to be there and the experience is right because of it.

My first trip here. Ladies, you know how tough it is to switch stylists. I was treated to a tour of the salon, a glass of water & a very short wait before I met Marni. She did a fabulous job of healthing up my hair & giving it a great color (I have black hair, but it was more of a «summer black.» Not too dark, but a dark brown fitting for the season.). Thorough pre-​game consultation. Light, upbeat conversation. Great scalp massage, too. The salon is clean & has a comfy modern vibe.

An experience at Mane Attraction is like no other salon in the Valley! I have been going to Christina for almost a year. She has a class of professionalism and training that you just do not see in other salons. I love that she has listened to me over time and understood what my every changing style has been and she has made suggestions that would best care for my hair long term. You can tell the artist at Mane Attraction realizes the relationship they are building with their clients is meant to last.

When you want «up-​scale», this is the place. I was greeted and given a tour of the salon by David. He explained the items in the retail area, and then showed me the rest of the salon so I knew where everything was. Beata was my hairdresser and was very talented with her color matching. When you want the top artists in Phoenix for hair, this is the place.

I do not normally write Unilocal reviews, but it is most definitely warranted in this case. I haven’t been to Mane Attraction in years for proximity reasons. Now that I live in the area again, I thought I’d give it a try. It exceeded my expectations. Lauren gave me the exact style I asked for and I couldn’t have left happier. I even did a car selfie and I make fun of people who do those. This is huge.

I have never had so many compliments on my hair since I started going there over a year ago. The quality and the trendy styles are awesome!

I have been a customer here for several years and am NEVER disappointed! I see Rene and Chris and they are both AWESOME! The entire salon is beautiful, classy, professional and welcoming with a positive energy throughout. The entire experience is just that, an «experience» of education, love, positive energy, patience and beauty. It’s truly a holistic experience. Love, Love, Love Mane Attraction Salon!

Wow! Just had a 5-​star experience at this salon yesterday. You definitely get what you pay for. I would like to see the pricing a little less expensive but it truly was worth every penny. It was my first visit & I saw Josie. They take their time & match your skin tone to the perfect hair color. It was relaxing and extremely professional. Highly recommend if you want a spectacular cut/​color.

I’ve been a customer for over 4 years. The staff is highly trained and very skilled at men’s cuts. The service is outstanding. They first start by making sure my last cut was great, they wash my hair and give a great head massage. Then cut, rise, style and I’m out the door.
Great hair product selection as well. I highly recommend them!

OMG, finally got to see Chris at MA today. Love, love, love him, best hair cut ever!!!

My stylist only needed to trim the sides of my short hairstyle as they seemed bushy to me, but I left with them not thinned enough-​I really didn’t notice that they weren’t thinned enough until later. It costs $ 12 for a 10 minute trim-​too pricey!

Second time there and I would highly recommend this place if you need a great cut. They truly care about you hair. haha ;-)

Christina gave me one of my favorite cuts and colors ever! (I’m going to upload a photo) She is thorough and percise. Not only is she great with hair but she is so fun and easy to talk to. Overall an awesome experience. I’ve been back several times! :)

A total disappointment; went in expecting something special and got nothing of the sort … Nice people but the advertising certainly didn’t deliver the services they market! Walked out feeling scammed for their high $$$$! Don’t recommend and won’t go back :(

Asked to shorten layered cut by an inch. I now look like a Marine recruit — not a look I wanted. $ 225 for cut with owner. I have retreated from society!

For what you pay, and the result, I feel like I could have done much, much better. The color is good, but so far the cut is NOT rocking my world! In fact, I may need to have it fixed elsewhere. I’m going to give it a few days before making the final decision. After all the fantastic reviews, I really expected more.
I felt the employees were insincere with their gushing compliments about my hair. Personally, I thought I looked like I just came home from the beach — not good.
UPDATE: After washing and styling it myself, I think it will be okay. The stylist refused to follow through on our original plan, though, so the front is still too long throughout IMHO. I’ll live with it until my next cut, and don’t plan on returning to MA.

Be prepared to pay just under $ 100 for not a haircut, but a hair sculpturing experience by Heather. Her bright smile is followed by silence as she assesses all the critical issues: your head shape, the texture of your hair as both relate to YOUR lifestyle and clothing preferences.
Compliments are great, but I do believe that Heather’s decisions in how to shape my hair shaves YEARS off my face, as long as I let her steer the boat (in those decisions).
